Very dissatisfied with Outpost! I'm a regular there and they know that I probably order from them 1-2 times a week. Last night I ordered through slice and it was a huge order. Spent over 60$. My husband and I start eating the food and I'm yearning through my hot oil pizza half way through the slice I take a bite and I see a white hair. So I'm thinking maybe it's cheese so I try to pull it! Nope it's hair. Now I'm pissed and don't even want to finish the food! Matter fact I didn't even finish the food! I'm sorry there is no excuse for this! Are you guys wearing hair net? Are you scratching your head while making my food? My hair is dark brown so it wasn't mines. They have lost my service! And I want to be reimbursed! On top of that look at the chicken wings' that's not even a wing! What's going on? There is no way I spend this type of money and I'm getting shitty food! I love Outposts Pizza and have been ordering from them every few months for about 15 years. They are always fast, friendly, and their food is surprisingly affordable for what you get. They have a pretty decent selection and everything I've tried has been great. All their wraps are top notch but my go-to is their buffalo chicken wrap. And their chicken and broccoli alfredo pasta is no slouch either. And I don't say this lightly, but they have the best french fries in Connecticut. They're always crispy and about double the diameter of those sorry things McDonalds calls fries. It's not like they're known for their fries, they're just an underrated bonus! The owners and employees are super friendly and quick to greet you when you walk in. Parking can be a little tight but they have a small lot behind the business. If you want some of the best wings in the area this is it. The dry rub ones are amazing- spicy, not loaded with sauce, and not greasy. The pizza is great as well. There's something just different about the sauce or cheese- but no matter what kind you get it's great every time. I'll start by saying I love that everything is priced accordingly. My favs from here are the steak and cheese, the west side chicken, and the chicken and broccoli Alfredo with linguine noodles YUMMMYYY. The pasta comes with a side of 2 small bread buns which get you really full. If you like mushrooms and onions the Frank Sinatra is a must try too. Super disappointed as I used to LOVE Outpost and order from there almost nightly! Food is great, but over the past year, order have been suuuuuper late, orders are CONSISTENTLY wrong, and management has been absolutely inappropriately rude. There was an incident that took place with Seamless, where the driver delivered us the wrong order - we called the driver and he proceeded to CONTINUOUSLY hang up. We were then accused to that we were trying to "scam" them and lie to them to get a free pizza!!! WHAT?! I am confused at what kind of approach this is to customers? We got some quick food for delivery while passing through town and staying at a hotel. My husband got the East side Chicken Wedge. It was one of the best subs I ever tasted. Really nice. It reminded me of a tomato/mozza dish with balsamic and delicious chicken cutlet on a sandwich. Very fresh. Fries were perfect, hot, and crispy. Rare for delivery. I had the eggplant parmesan sub. Sauce had great flavor. I had extra cheese and the cheese had good flavor also. Bread was wonderful. Eggplant was cooked through but a bit mushy. Still, I enjoyed it. If I ordered again, I would get my husband's sandwich, which was amazing. Food was delivered fast, courteous, and piping hot. The order was completely correct. Ok so the pizza slice is hella big and it's ok, although the service could be a whole lot better; I say this because I am a regular customer of the establishment and I asked to use the bathroom. They lied and told me it didn't work. I left to go get something in my car and I came back; why was someone just finishing up using the bathroom? And like I said, the slices are big but not the best. I ordered a take-out pizza , half mushroom. They said a wait time is 15 mins. I waited inside for my order to be cooked. When I brought my pizza home, it was cold. It looked like they pre-made it before and thru on some mushrooms. The mushroom fell off the slice of pizza when my kid tilted it. When I spoke w the owner he yelled at me and said that he gave me a hot pizza. I didn't want him to give me a different pizza that was actually made while I was waiting but I really wanted an apology. I'm not very familiar with this place, but I have ordered from them before. I ordered a meatball sub, and it was bland, ordinary, and made with no love. Literally! This new pizza place is spot on! I'm a NY pizza snob, plain and simple. I recently moved to CT and have tried all the so called best pizza in the Westport area. They're terrible or just average for one reason or another. Sorry but it's the truth. Outpost in Westport offers the only authentic, thin crust slice that I've found so far. The flavor is Just like NYC! No salt in the crust, the sauce is simple tomato perfection and just the right amount of cheesy decadence. After that experience, I don't care if there is a blizzard outside, I will walk in my underwear to pick up Dominos than have Outpost again. always drive by this pizza place so decided to give it a try after coming home from a long day of work. based on reviews we had read, we decided to order the buffalo wings and the Zanzanbar Pizza - it had Artichoke hearts, bacon, garlic, and cherry peppers. Buffalo wings were definitely crispy and good - but beware, they are quite salty! so make sure you have some sort of beverage with you when you eat it. The Zanzanbar pizza was pretty good. Let's face it, anything with artichoke hearts, bacon and garlic has to be good! When you first bite into it, it tastes so good. But as you keep eating it, it definitely gets spicy! It's gotta be some of the best pizza in the area, I'm not sure what it is... maybe their sauce to cheese ratio, maybe their crust, maybe the way they slice their toppings, but every time it is delicious. This past weekend I was with friends ordering pizza and I stuck Outpost out there saying it was great. When the pizza arrived, I was getting high fives all over the place. Try the cherry peppers as a topping. Eff yea! $18 for two large pies! Also, I noted below that a reviewer was comparing Outpost to Colony. Can't even be compared. This place hit the spot. Thin crust pepperoni pizza with a side order of wings. Good food and friendly staff. The place only has 3 tables inside and a couple outside so it might be better to take your pie home. They also do gyros, calzones, pasta, sandwiches and desserts ( cheesecake and tiramisu) they have pop to go and there are a ton of toppings to choose from for your pizza.
