Although the hotel is gorgeous, we had many problems with it this weekend. The hotel staff inside is very cordial, very nice and accommodating. We always have insane requests when it comes to pillows because of our backs and they accommodated. My qualm with this hotel is we were here to "work" at Silo and any time we wanted to leave to go to the club, the valet guys lost our keys. At one point we called an Uber and right when the uber came they found our keys (an hour after trying to leave). So my recommendation is to make sure your key is put somewhere safe that they can find once they bring it up. Our car was physically there but no key. Also the bathtub in our room.... I love a good shower with great pressure. Problem with this tub is the bottom felt dirty, like there was this residue that couldn't come off... like speckles so we had to wear our gym shower shoes in there to make sure we didn't feel icky lol 3/10 experience

Stayed at the Fairmont for a wedding in Dallas. Located in uptown it's convenient for fun happy hour locations and venues. Pros: - text service with house staff was quick and helpful - free WiFi if you sign up for their rewards - decent sized room - pool - manager Phillip - Starbucks on site Cons: - our room was never cleaned - facilities are dated - gym is small - asked for a king, wasn't ready so they gave us doubles

A disappointing stay at one of our favorite hotel brands. The room was spacious (we had a suite) although the bathroom was not. Decor was as expected of a Fairmont with the old school château vibes. Too dimly lit in the rooms unfortunately. A few items in the room like a light and curtains did not work properly. There's also no fan in the bathroom. What was most disappointing was the service. One morning, we asked for coffee and water three times, waited for 2 hours and never got them. They were not accommodating when I needed to heat up food for my child. Finally, the last straw is their lack of help after we forgot my son's plush toy in the room. They say they didn't locate it and never followed up either. Fell short for a luxury brand.

5 star service, valet was helpful beyond measure! Front desk with Bui and Bridgette are a tag team duo of white glove service! Bar staff was quick and engaging! Shout out to George!

Stay Somewhere Else!! This hotel is a full-blown disgrace to the Fairmont name -- and I say that as someone who rarely writes reviews unless something is either Michelin-level... or Mold-ichin-level. Spoiler alert: this was the latter. Let's start with the décor. Think Alfred Hitchcock meets abandoned retirement home. The hallways are straight out of Psycho, and the carpet? Let's just say it had its glory days during the Clinton administration. And at $250 a night? Bold. Now the room... Walked in to find pillows thrown on the floor, drawers hanging open like a ghost just rage-quit their stay. The dust levels? Biblical. Like the room had been sealed off since the 1800s and only reopened for a game of Will They Survive the Allergens? Spoiler again: I did not. I'm extremely allergic to mold and mildew -- which this place offered in abundance. Complimentary, of course. The sheets were somehow both burned and scratchy, like someone tried to iron them with a curling iron from 1974. The bathroom? I've seen high school gym toilets that felt more "Fairmont" than this cracked, stained porcelain disappointment. The tub looked like it had survived a street fight with a belt sander. Let's not forget the elevator, which looked like it had been used as a scratching post by every cat in the tri-county area. Not "vintage charm" -- just sad relic. Valet? $60 to wait 20 minutes behind a queue of cars, while the staff moved with the urgency of dial-up internet. A premium price for the pleasure of sitting in my car questioning my life choices. Look -- Fairmont used to mean luxury. Class. "We use coasters" energy. This place gave "last-minute Groupon regret." I came here for a business trip. Instead, I got a crash course in hotel horror. Fairmont, please come collect your name off this building. It's embarrassing.

This hotel is stuck in the 90s when it comes to the decor. So you may have the impression to be stuck in the past. But the hotel offer all accommodations needed. I used to come here often, so it was a good feeling. I had to wait for awhile at the entry as the valet was gone. The reception was the same feeling; as one young man was overseeing the check-in process on his own. Maybe a new guy? Otherwise the room are spacious and clean with a decent view of downtown. The bedroom have a brown and feutre tone. I do like the Asian decor and the Wine Spectator magazine in the room. Service was overall very solid and professional. The receptionist was kind enough to give us a late check out as we were in Dallas for a board meeting. The hotel offers great discount online so this is definitely a great value.

Aww this place is just old and haggard and tired. Like maybe it was chic in the 70s and has literally not been touched since then - with the exception of the random decision to add Le labo products. The decor is so drab and there are zero amenities in the room, including water which you have to request at the front desk. You can hear the elevator clunking up and down nonstop - it's so loud I thought it was a streetcar. Also randomly there's a walk-in closet which I'm approximating to be the exact same size as the bathroom. The room is big and has a desk, and the staff is kind, but won't be returning.

This review is fir the bar Location Mid town Dallas Atmosphere Classy sports/hotel lobby bar Quiet but HUGE tv with football! Service Friendly, attentive-terrific! Menu Sharables, salads, wings, dinner. We had the roasted cauliflower that came with pickled onions, greens, and a sweet potato puree-fantastic!! Best ever!! Seasoned perfectly. The wine pour was less than generous-maybe 6 ounce. The spritzer was refreshing. Summary Great find for low key place to watch sports downtown Dallas. Get the drinks as the wine pour is low. Food is the BEST and service AMAZING! Lie this place!

Up in the Dallas area for a couple of days and stayed at the Fairmont Hotel. The hotel seemed old but clean and well kept. It was cold there in Dallas and so was the hotel. For some reason the south west side of the hotel was warmer than the north side. The meeting rooms by the store inside the hotel were cold. While at the bar, ran into a few vagrants but were escorted out by security. The libations at the bar were very good and the food was excellent. The staff was helpful and friendly but some were measurable, a tall elderly gentleman wearing a black coat. I observed him working every day, no change in attitude. The rest of the staff excellent. The parking tenants did an outstanding job, concerning the cold weather.

One of the worst hotel experiences I've had in a long time - possibly ever! Between the water outage for the entire hotel (no shower, no toilet - sewage was building up in our room), the AC in the room going out, the unresponsive staff, the $50/day valet cost with no free parking alternative, the $14/day internet charge with no free alternative, and the most uncomfortable bed I've experienced in a hotel, I will never chose to stay here again. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because I feel bad and don't want you reader's to think I'm prone to hyperbole. Check out my other reviews and you'll see I tend to be overly generous. Including now when I should give 1 star instead of 2. I also understand some of the things weren't their fault (water outage for instance), but how they responded, or better yet didn't respond, was not ok. Bless all the customers who were here who had to leave the hotel that morning (possibly for a big event) without being able to shower, comfortably use their bathroom, brush their teeth, and get ready properly! For all I know they could have been going to the most important interview of their career smelling like body odor and bad breath. Luckily, my big event was the day prior. The water was out from around 7pm the night before and didn't come back on until around 8am the next day - so even if you do your hygiene mostly at night you were still out of luck. Also, the pool is not heated, and was too cold to get in. No hot tub either. That was a real bummer for us. Additionally, when we were checking in we had one of the longest lines I've ever seen. It took us at least 30 minutes to make our way to the front desk for the check in process. There was a big event/conference going on so I thought we just showed up at the wrong time... nope it was something I saw multiple times during our stay. Why this many people / companies choose to stay here is beyond me. This hotel is old and it shows. For hotels in the same price point I'd recommend staying somewhere elsewhere. But if you do stay here, be prepared for long sweaty nights in uncomfortable beds, and the possibility of important amenities not working when you need them most. Happy travels!

We just checked out after a two day stay for a mini staycation. The three stars is for the convenient location near everything and the friendly staff. We arrived at 130 pm on Friday and they let us check in early which was a plus so we didn't have to wander around waiting for 3 pm check in. We pulled up and they took our truck and we went ahead and used valet parking (not included in the stay like other places we've stayed in the past, just FYI) and it was still worth the money not having to worry about our truck. Ron helped us to our room and answered all our questions. They serve meals but they aren't included like other hotels we've been to. Our room was fairly nice minus a few thing, our bathroom sink got legit clogged where nothing was going down day one, a piece of the shower fell off while my husband was showering, food from the mini fridge was missing (they'll probably charge us for that). My favorite part about my stay was the rooftop pool, it was fairly larger than any hotel I've been to and the view was amazing! And for how hot the weather has been the pool was still very cool and refreshing. In all honesty not the greatest stay I've had but it was alright. Might be back on day might not.

Our event coordinator had already been in contact with each hotel's sales team regarding room blocks, but my fiancé and I wanted to personally see the properties before recommending them to 30-40 hotel room blocks. Although we arrived after sales office hours, Liz at the front desk was exceptionally kind. She walked us through the restaurants commonly used for private events, explained the renovation timeline, and invited us to take our time exploring before returning to the front desk to view a standard guest room. Unfortunately, our experience changed when another employee, who later identified himself as Clayton, a manager, stepped in. It appeared he had been listening to our conversation but had not introduced himself. He abruptly informed us that we would not be able to view a room. We explained that our event coordinator was already working with the sales manager regarding room blocks and pricing, and that we were simply trying to ensure we felt confident recommending the hotel to our family and friends. Despite understanding the situation, he remained unwilling to accommodate the request. His only suggestion was that we purchase a room if we wanted to see one. For us, this interaction spoke volumes. Hospitality isn't just about beautiful rooms--it's about making potential guests feel welcomed and valued. If this was the experience we received as prospective clients considering multiple wedding events and dozens of room nights, it gave us pause about what our guests might experience. As a result, we will likely to move our room block, welcome dinner, Saturday event, and Sunday brunch where we're met with warmth, flexibility, and genuine hospitality from the moment we arrive. The Joule is undeniably a beautiful property, but customer service plays a major role in our decision-making. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling that our business was neither appreciated nor wanted.

If you want to commemorate Tina Turner, nothing beats it. Lorenzo Hotel, let's stay together. The creative, quirky, and poetic 237-room boutique is known for being an eclectic and vibrant art gallery with a different theme for each floor. Floor 1 is a mix-up with Shakespeare, Alice in Wonderland, Poe, and Einstein. Floor 3 is Literature & Journalism (if you like old printing presses this may be your type). Floor 4 is the Music Floor (vintage audio). Floor 5 is Mid-Century Modern (1960s Dallas history). Floor 6 is "Dali" or Surrealism Floor. Floor 8 is Botanical & Nature (floral pops of color). Floor 9 is Pop Art (bold and graphic). Floor 10 is Cinematic History (Hollywood glamour). Floor 11 is The Tina Turner Tribute. Floor 12: Skyline / Skye Ballroom event level with massive floor-to-ceiling windows. We stayed in Floor 7, which is "Literary Noir" (drama and mystery). We had a broken, blinking Neon sign, a wobbly ceiling fan, broken blinds, matchbooks full of phone numbers, an unfinished manuscript, an ashtray full of cigarettes, and a dead body in the tub. Not really. But we did have a giant seven foot "desk lamp", a paintbrush and frame above our bed, and and a carpet made from Hamlet quotes in Room 704. Dining: Hamilton's is the main on-site restaurant and bar, with a host or hostess in the lobby smiling at us when we walked in. Taco Enzo and Kolache Korner are in the refurbished shipping containers in the massive parking lot. The lobby store is small and not cheap but it beats a vending machine, especially if you want an ice cream sandwich or fingernail clippers. The "South Beach" pool is saltwater, so it's softer on the skin, eyes, and hair and avoids red eyes, green hair, and pool smell. Location: Though the Cedars district is the industrial historic heart of the Dallas arts scene, it's a bit gritty and has *freeway noise*, with gentrification friction, being a patchwork of high-end luxury lofts sitting right next to dilapidated industrial warehouses, making it feel half vibrant but half abandoned. The Walkability Score is 73, thanks to massive railroad tracks, the I-30, current construction, and inconsistent sidewalks. Be warned this isn't a tree-lined, window-shopping destination like Uptown or Bishop. Finding food, a drink, and even a movie will be much easier than groceries or a pharmacy (though drugs is a different story). Service: Everyone was awesome, especially Precious, who was, like her name Precious. That explains why they don't hire Dicks.

The pool was great during the summer, it's small but has many chairs and even cabanas that are great for lounging in. The onsite restaurant for breakfast was delicious! The food was really good - probably the best part of the entire hotel - and the service at the restaurant was beyond friendly and accommodating. The parking is $20 a night which is a crazy price, but there were always plenty of spaces. There is a lot of construction next door, so we could hear that going on during the day and proved for a quite terrible view from our hotel room - completely obstructed by a tree with the bits you can see through being just trucks. One evening our toddler pulled the plug for the lamp that is on the night stand and it pulled the entire outlet out which created a hot flash of fire and smoke - then live wires were exposed - this is crazy dangerous and very disturbing that a very small child was in such danger from merely unplugging something. We went down to the desk and they immediately said they'd send an engineer up and asked if we would like to change rooms. We said we'd see what the engineer said, he came up about 5 mins later and said everything needed to be replaced so I said to him we have to switch rooms as it was completely dangerous for anyone to be in the room with live wiring exposed. A minute or two after the engineer left the front desk called our room and told us to come downstairs to change rooms. We packed up, trucked everything downstairs and they switched our rooms to the room next door (which it would've been nice if they would have offered to help move our luggage or at least tell us to just move it one room over, not bring it all downstairs). The front desk was actually really passive and cold - I found the situation quite shocking and dangerous and they had basically nothing to say about it. I thought it would've been nice if they had said something to apologize for the inconvenience, to offer something in return. It is completely their fault for having faulty electrical equipment in their room and they just wanted us to move rooms and go away - I was just happy to move the room and not be near them since they were such bad vibes - I think other people would've felt disrespected by their behavior. Thanks for the food, won't be back.

About the Hotel I don't know the history of the hotel but I can tell it's a well kept older hotel. I like how they kept some elements of its legacy. The lighting, the mail chute and more, add to the charm of this place. The lobby is a modern twist with an emphasis on audio entertainment. There are a lot of record albums on display as art. There's a small walk up cafe for quick bites and drinks and you can take a comfy seat in the lobby to enjoy your snack. From the lobby, you can peer down into and access the Toussaint restaurant and bar. About our Room Our room (603) was spacious and functional. It included a king bed, 2 large side tables, a round bistro table with one chair, a large flat screen TV above a long counter to drop some of your stuff onto. It had a large wardrobe for hanging clothing plus a valuable safe. It had a bar with glassware and coffee service (Keurig). The bathroom was spacious and functional, though the sliding entry door did leave a large gap, taking a bit of privacy away from the commode area. If there was a con for this room, I'd say it was lighting and lack of outlets on one side of the bed. The room did have lighting, but it was very dim. Convenience We really loved the location of the Saint Elm. It was nearly next door to the Majestic Theater where we were going for a concert. It's walking distance to some great restaurants and sights. We'd stay at the Saint Elm again.

We did not have a very good experience with the Fairfield in Dallas. We were stuck for a night…read morebecause of a flight delay so already not a great start. We called to see if they had a crib since we had our young daughter and they assured us they did. On arrival they said they didn't have one and they only had 3 for both hotels in the building. So we had to door dash a pack and play. Super frustrating, we would've chose a different hotel if they were up front to begin with about not having any availability for the crib. The hotel was run down. Stains on the carpets and on the chair in the room as seen in photos. Room was big but set up kinda awkward. TV wasn't working either just was to the point where we went to bed instead. I wouldn't stay here again unless it was forced upon me.

Its time for "Story-time with Adam Cole Baby" (don't sue me TK, I'm working class and can't afford the lawyers) The TLDR: This is a serviceable hotel with great front desk and that's about it. I wouldn't feel comfortable with any single female friends/family to stay there by themselves. The very first interaction I had in Dallas, the VERY FIRST was a *ahem* "lady of the night as I was getting out of my Lyft and approaching the front doors of the hotel. She walked directly in my path, looked me in the eye, and with no warning said: "For $50 you can do whatever you want to my asshole" Do you know how hard it is to make me speechless? I muttered and stuttered my way past the woman to check in. Homeless people and working girl are a REAL problem here. In my eight days there every time I left the hotel I ran into one group or the other, some times both. I check in, go to my room, do a quick inspection and in the shower I find.....black mold!!!! An easy enough fix I think, I go downstairs report it to the front desk, go off to the market for supplies, and come back. The front desk guy tells me that he's made a concoction of sorts that gets rid of mold and he's left it in my room for me to apply it in the shower. A VERY WTF moment!! Bro I don't work here, and don't know enough about this chemistry experiment you've cooked up. I go back downstairs and they finally give me a new room. I'm not much of a complainer and I have a clean new room so let's just sleep and see what the next day bring. I wake up and decide to hit the breakfast. I grab some undercooked bacon and potatoes, as I'm grabbing juice I notice the employees were closing everything down (five minutes early but I get it) the really weird/annoying thing was that they were turning the lights off on all the people still eating. It felt like last call at a seedy dive bar. Like I said, I understand wanting to go home but turning the lights out on your guests was a complete and utter FAIL. My last notch in the complain column is that the building itself could really use some attention. When it was raining the ceiling by the front door was flooding like a TLC song. The elevators never seemed clean either. So if I'm going all Final Justice on my review why did I give it a three star and not a one? All the positives come from the front desk agents. Jasmine was the best agent I've had the pleasure to deal with in almost a decade. She was warm, welcoming, and quick as a whip. Every day that I came downstairs she had a different suggestion on where I should go and what I should eat. Honestly if I was building a management team from the ground up, I would poach Jasmine in a heartbeat. So yes on the strength of one employee a hotel gained two stars. Otherwise I can't really recommend stay here until they make some major changes
