I don't write many reviews, but Tona and his team at Fairmount Tire & Rubber absolutely earned this one. I came in pretty nervous because I already knew the repair I needed wasn't going to be cheap. Thankfully, my co-worker Julie referred me to Tona, and I'm so glad she did. From the moment we started talking, I could tell this was different from any mechanic experience I've had. Not only did his pricing completely blow away every other quote I received, but he took the time to explain exactly what was wrong, why it happened, how all the components work together, and what could happen if one part in that chain fails. As someone who knows absolutely nothing about cars, trucks, or combustion engines, I actually found it fascinating. I don't have the bandwidth to become a mechanic anytime soon, but I genuinely appreciated how educational the experience was. What impressed me the most was his honesty. Instead of recommending expensive repairs that didn't make financial sense, especially since I'm planning on replacing my truck after buying my wife a new car first, he focused on what actually needed to be done. His goal was to keep my truck running safely and smoothly for another 6 months to a year while I get through my other financial obligations. He even told me he expects these repairs to give me another year or more. That level of integrity honestly shocked me. Good mechanics are incredibly hard to find these days. I live in Long Beach, and I will gladly drive the 30 miles to Orange anytime my vehicles need work. Got a flat yesterday on my BMW. Have run flat tires which are not common. Look online for tire shops nearby where I work so I could do this on my lunch. Called Fairmont tires, they were able to bring in the same brand run flat tire within 2 hours of calling. I drove down there and handed them my keys. Literally 5-10 min later...no joke 5-10 minutes later I was driving back to work with my new tire. I have sat in drive thru lines to get food that take longer than that. I stopped by Fairmount Tire & Rubber in a bit of a panic after hearing a loud and strange noise under my car while driving on the 5 fwy. Although I didn't have an appt, two wonderful and caring angels there took time out of their busy day to help me in my time of need. An initial check showed that a part of my undercarriage was indeed hanging out of place and had been scraping the ground. Thankfully, the part was only missing a screw/bolt, which they were able to fix easy peasy and in no time flat. These guys rock. I thought I had a nail in my Tesla but it was a cracked rim. They identified the issue and sent me videos of the leak while I was at work. They cant repair rims themselves so they sent it out for repair which was cheaper then the price I was able to find from rum repair shops. I will be back. read more

Brought my car in for an oil change and brake inspection on a Saturday morning. They were easy going while asking me what I wanted to get done. Pricing was upfront and super reasonable when quoting me for the services I needed. Dropped off my car and it was ready to pick up before I knew it, new brakes all around, full synth oil change, tire rotation and some smaller items.
