This is a lovely Mediterranean restaurant, with Lebanese cuisine. They are clearly supported by a large hookah enjoying population, with a number of flavors which fill the air inside and on the patio. The food is very good, we had the mixed grill, and the boys had the chicken kabob. The humus is fresh and creamy, with the rice flavored nicely and supported with great pickled delicacies. The lamb was the best, moist, flavorful, and seasoned to perfection the chicken was good, as was the beef. Service is a bit underwhelming, although pleasant and professional you will have to call them over for refills, additional napkins, and the like. Unfortunately, Fairouz missed the mark for me food wise. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very inviting! I ordered all my food to go as I had my little children with me and the waiter was very accommodating and patient with us. But at the end of the day the food just did not taste authentic or at least compared to other places I've been in houston The hummus had no flavor the naan bread was basic . I got a simple shawarma plate and extra fries for the kids and it just missed the mark with flavor. I was super disappointed. The fries didn't even have salt. After Bible study at a local Starbucks. Me and my boyfriend decided to go for a bite to eat and we stumble upon this Mediterranean Grill. It was one of the few places open past 9 PM in that area(there is not many) they have food as well as coffee, tea, and hookah. But don't be fooled, even though they have hookah it is not a hookah lounge vibe. It's a very classy restaurant where people happen to have hookah while they have tea or food. The decor is full of decorative plates and beautiful lamps around the room and they even have a section with sofa-like chairs that looks so comfy! We just came to eat though. We shared a few appetizers: falafel, mozzarella sticks, and French fries extra. I have never had falafel before and it was so good. It exceeded my expectations. It was fried but not dry on the inside and even though it was ground chickpeas, it was very flavorful! The french fries extra was my second favorite dish. They seasoned and cook the french fries and put a white and a red sauce on it with either chicken or steak(we got the steak) and they didn't skimp out. We ended up having more meats and french fries so that's A++ in my book. And the mozzarella sticks were OK. My favorite thing is the hospitality The server was very nice and friendly then the owner stopped by to check on us a few times throughout the meal and we actually got to talk to him. The food is delicious! I've been wanting to try this Mediterranean place out for a while. I went on a weekday for an early dinner and it was very quiet. There were a few table and they were doing hookah and quietly chatting. The inside is pretty and unexpected for the area. We had the mixed sampler and it was a lot of food and lots of variety . It could be a meal for 2-3 people itself, but we wanted to try the beef kabobs too. The beef kabob meal is 1 row of meat plus a choice of two sides. We ordered rice and salad. The kabob seemed a little small, but it was flavorful and juicy. The rice was my favorite and the salad was decent. Something to keep in mind, chicken kabob is ground chicken. Chicken Tiwok is chicken breast. I ordered chicken kabob thinking it was chicken breast pieces. They fixed it without making it an issue. They even gave us baklava for free while we waited. Visited Fairouz today on a Saturday evening after a big rush. They were short staffed but the staff working was absolutely amazing. There were several people there celebrating birthdays and the owner personally brought out a birthday dish to each table celebrating. The food is 5/5! Very fresh and tasty. Outdoor areas were even more beautiful! We had tried the Fairouz Delight and the combination of strawberry, mango and mint flavor was AMAZING and refreshing. We ordered the Kibbie to start followed by the Mixed Grill for 2 with hummus and basmati rice and man, it was so delicious! Meat and chicken was so juicy and tender, rice was nice and fluffy and hummus was nice and light. I loved that the pita was thin so we didn't get full right away from thick pita compared to other places. This will hands down be our go to spot for Mediterranean near the Cypress area! After checking out their menu, reviews, and photos, I was impressed by how beautiful the restaurant looked, so my husband and I decided to give it a try on a Friday night. From the moment we walked in, the staff, especially our waitress, were incredibly friendly. She recommended the Fairouz Mixed Grill for two, which offered a variety of their skewers. We paired it with tabouli salad and basmati rice. The owner/manager also found out it was our first visit and graciously offered us hummus to try. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS! For dessert, our waitress suggested we try the Knafeh, something we had never heard of before. It was AMAZING! We were in this side of town to look at a car and passed Fairouz Mediterranean Grill. No doubt we had to stop. I was so surprised to see such a beautifully decorated and such a clean restaurant. The Waitstaff and Manager were so cordial. The restaurant has only been open a short time. The menu has an abundance of selections for the for those who can't seem to decide....me, for one. I choose quickly. My husband ordered a fried Halloumi Cheese Shamarwa; new for us as we fry Halloumi at home regularly. His Tabouli was one of the best I have ever tasted. The appetizer sized bowl was huge. I spotted Chicken Livers immediately and an Appetizer of Fried Eggplant. Sold. The Chicken Liver were served in a small cast iron skillet. Nice presentation and very good Livers. Best is, I have leftovers. The Eggplant was good, but not the star. We ordered a Chicken Shamarwa to go for my son. He is a Shamarwa critic and he said it was good, but not enough pickles and the garlic sauce wasn't garlicky enough. That was my only complaint, as well..the garlic sauce. We will return even though it is far from us. Great service and Hoohkah for those who like it. The menu has a bit of everything for picky diners, including pasta. We ordered the lamb chops, the kids falafel sandwich, a Philly Cheesesteak, Fairouz Style Chicken, Knafeh, and two mint lemonades. My only complaint was the Knafeh somehow was forgotten and we were looking forward to trying it, BUT the rice was absolutely amazing and the chicken was absolutely perfect. My Mom loved her lamb. I don't think I'd order the sandwich again but it wasn't bad it just didn't do their meat enough Justice. I tried a bit of the falafel that m my little leftovers and it was so crunchy on the outside and yummy soft savory goodness inside. And Janna, thank you for the extra garlic sauce. My girlfriend Lisa and I had lunch here a few weeks ago for the first time. We tried the sandwiches and was so blown away by how good it was. So we had to come back for dinner where we met the owner Alex. He is wonderfully sweet along with his staff. This is a very family environment where no alcohol is served which I like. The inside is so beautifully decorated but the food is what keeps me coming back. We tried the mixed grilled and it was more then enough for the two of us, each meat was cooked to perfection. Nice char on the outside but the meat was still juicy. The bread is my favorite, no other place serves bread like they do. We were happy to see a Mediterranean place in Cypress ( we usually go to Katy for this type of food). The food was good. The Kafka, French Fries, salad were tasty. The baba ghanoush was good but the pita did not seem fresh to me. The Turkish coffee was very good. However, we were disappointed in the service. Among other little things, my husband ordered water, they brought 2 bottles of water; one of which was hard to get to stand up - we finally asked for water glasses. BTW, we paid $4 for the water. Although I asked for sugar with the coffee, we had to get sugar from another table & go ask for a stir spoon because the coffee was getting cold and there were no set ups on the table. Although the baba ghanoush and stuffed grape leaves were listed under appetizers they came in the middle of the meal. May try this place again in hopes they get service issues worked out.
