My husband and our three-year-old went in for lunch, and John went above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable and easy for both of them. I found this place on a whim while looking for a place to stop and grab a bite on the way back to Austin. I'm so happy I found it because everything was great! We tried the Ahi Tuna Tostadas (special menu), Ahi Tuna Tartare, soup of the day (Tortilla Soup), Lemon Pasta with shrimp and the Asian Chicken Salad. I thoroughly enjoyed the pasta and my brother said the Asian Chicken Salad was the best he's ever had. Portion sizes were on the smaller side of the scale. In short Local Table and Local Bar (across the street) are absolute wins for Cypress. If you're coming from North Cypress, know both are located in Bridgeland, so plan for the drive, but there's plenty to do once you're in the area, Bridgeland being the beauty that it is. It delivered on providing a quieter, less crowded atmosphere compared to the bar. Plus, their bar on this night was spacious and relatively empty. Yes, there were more children and couples, but it's hard to beat a peaceful game experience sitting at the open air bar. The food and drink were solid overall. While I think the cucumber basil gimlet needs a bit more work, the beer is cold, my grilled chicken pesto sandwich was delicious (when I got the perfect bite of red pepper, savory cheese, pesto, and grilled chicken slathered in olive oil (or maybe that was the pesto)), and I'm glad I did not skip the chocolate lava cake. My son ordered an espresso which came in a normal size coffee mug. I asked the waiter, and he said they were all out of espresso cups. Oh well! A small hick up. Overall, the service was really good and Andrew was attentive. We ordered crab cakes Benedict, chicken and biscuits Benedict, prosciutto Benedict from the brunch menu. We were seated outside and it was a beautiful day. I ordered the crab cakes and the ahi tuna poke bowl. To drink, I ordered the blueberry cucumber martini. The meal tasted delicious and fresh. Pros: Reservations can be made on OpenTable, staff is very friendly. Cons: The pricing felt a bit high compared to the portion sizes. The $12 hummus appetizer had a $3 upcharge for veggies, which included about 7-8 carrot and cucumber sticks, and the jalapeño hummus only had a couple of very thinly sliced jalapeños. The $22 kabob plate came with four small pieces of meat--two chicken and two beef--felt limited for the price. There was also an automatic 18% gratuity added for a party of two, which was surprising. The staff is nice and deserving of tips; however, the forced gratuity on two people and portion sizes relative to pricing made the overall value feel a bit off. read more

Everything you order is amazing and the staff are all great. However, if you come to dine in, ask for Ricky, he's great! Our group had mixed reviews of the spinach artichoke dip, some really liked it, others felt it was on the bland side. The Lemon Pasta was very flavorful with the capers and sun dried tomatoes. Went here for brunch on a Saturday morning. It was pretty busy although we were to get a table immediately. The food was freshly prepared, delicious and and friendly service from Adrian. Very inviting atmosphere. A large indoor bar and lots of outdoor seating. The parking directly in front of the restaurant will be difficult as it's basically I think only like six spots, but there's a parking lot behind both directly and across the other retail stores, but I can imagine that this place can get very busy . When we went there on Saturday between 10 AM to 12 PM they did have a kids menu that kids could be free which also included a juice and also a cookie. Would recommend this place so we'll probably come back a nice restaurant with fresh flavors. We were promptly seated, and our server and server in training was attentive, letting us order drinks and food as soon as we were ready. The food came out quickly, and everything was delicious. The restaurant itself is really nice and spacious, perfect for accommodating larger parties. They also have a bar, plus both indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the Chicken and Biscuit Benedict along with a Passion Fruit Mule, and both were fantastic. To top it off, since it was our first time there, they surprised us with a croissant pie and ice cream for dessert. The pie filling was sweet and flavorful, although the croissant was different it wasn't bad. I only wish I hadn't gotten so full so I could've finished it all. Local table is truthfully one of the most reliable dining experiences there is in Katy. Not only is the ambience extremely comfortable, but the service is incredibly reliable and the food quite dependable and really very delicious. We went on one of the evenings where you can order a bottle of wine and get a pizza which in this case was wonderful in addition, we had tuna tartare which was equally delicious and frankly a wonderful bargain. I have just read in yelp that this restaurant was one of the top 10 dining experiences in Katy... it is no wonder given how pleasant the services the surroundings the food add an incredible value.
