Overpriced and they didn't even remember to make my order when they only had 2 other people in the place .

The ONLY downside to having a coffee here is that coffee bar leads to a gift shop and the Funky Art Cafe.

Came here on a Saturday AM at opening time. Located in Eado…read more The door was technically locked. But the owner let me in and locked it behind me. She said there was some unhoused folks who kept popping in and out of her store, as they are frequent flyers. The shop is uniquely designed. It gives a homey old timey feel, with the arcade game, and chaise lounger. There are tables along the wall to work or chat. No outside seating. Service - was fantastic. I was her only customer. I asked the owner Nina about about the business and she shared with me that it use to be a bar first until she recently made it a coffee shop after God's direction. She does make coffee cocktails for special events. And she has a bottle or two to add to your morning or afternoon coffee if you like. She gave great vibes. Drink- I ordered the matcha. And I was satisfied. A touch sweet for me, but not crazy to where I disliked it. I enjoyed it. There is a vast number of "exotic" flavor of lattes she has as well to check out. Nice to have lots of options. Looking forward to supporting this black owned business.

Unfortunately, when I arrived, the shop was closed. I was disappointed since I made the trip specifically to try them, but I understand that things happen. For now, I am leaving this as a three-star review based solely on the hours mismatch, not the coffee or service. I am hopeful to return on another day and actually try their offerings, and I would be happy to update this review once I have the chance to do so.

So I need to use a PC to download software to take practice tests for the GRE on Saturday…read more Unfortunately, none of my friends with PCs were in town, and the Austin public library doesn't allow users to download software and there's a time limit for computer use... despair began to set in, until I found Internet Cafe Austin! The woman working there was super welcoming and let me use her own computer to download the software I needed. Other internet cafes I've been to tended to be in one room with a ton of computers either arranged in aisles and/or around the walls. I think this building used to be an office, so there were several different rooms. This worked great for me as I was taking a practice GRE exam and I was able to have my own private room! (The front desk is linked up to security cameras in all the rooms, though, so don't get crazy!) As for food, they have your standard fare of chips and snacks, but also those fun-sized bags of peanut and regular M&M's (I refuse to embrace the "milk chocolate" rebranding) for 25¢! What a deal! There's also a fridge with sodas, juice, and water. The downside... I went here during the day, but I'm not sure I would feel safe being here at night. I did notice that they lock the front door at night and you have to ring a bell to be let in. Also, I had to kill a cockroach that was creeping along the wall of my room. Finally, there was another kid there who needed to print something, and the computer in their Print Room wasn't working, so he had to use mine. The woman turned my timer off, of course, but I would recommend one go to a Kinkos if you're looking to print something. Speaking of Kinkos, this place is definitely way cheaper - I was there for 3.5 hours, and the price for my time plus downloading the software was around $18.50.
