Bought the Banks flooring nailer to do a 250 square foot living room…read more I planned to do the job in the next month, but got delayed 4 months due to unforeseen circumstances. I opened the box, attached the handle and hooked up the air hose. Absolutely flawless for about 80 square feet. Then it started leaking air, every nail I drove it got worse. Got to the point that it would not nail any more. There is a seal on the inside that must of blown. I didn't buy their extended warranty and it only comes with a 90 day warranty. I still brought it back to plead my case telling them I just opened it the day before, look at it, it's brand new, I have the box. Who keeps a box to a tool 4 months after you bought it if you you been using it. The employee just kept telling me I should of bought the extended warranty. So I said, " Harbor Freight puts out this POS tool that so many reviews had the same problem as I and I have to buy an extended warranty or loose my money." He said, that's how it works. Went across the street to Lowes and bought a Dewalt and finished my floor. Never again!!!

I have worked with Milford Lumber over the past 12 months. The reason for the one star is that I…read morewill no longer be doing business with them -- ever again. Why? If they make an error -- they do not stand by their work -- they blame it on you -- and then throw up their hands and say their is nothing they can do it about. They will refuse to meet you even half-way in terms of attempting to make something right. In addition, once you find an error and you start peeling back the onion, you will find out they attempt to overcharge you (in my experience about 20-30% over identical product direct from manufacturer), continue to try to sell you products you do not want (and make sure they are not itemized in the quote so you have to tease out the prices) and generally offer incredibly poor customer service as soon as an issue arises (have to buck it up the chain -- they say they want to help, delay a couple days -- then say they cannot). In short, if you choose to deal with them, be incredibly careful. They do not care about their customers (and I hate to say I have spent over $50,000 with them, paid every invoice within a week of receiving it -- so who knows how they would treat a smaller customer). I wish you success in your project an hope this review was helpful. In summary -- buyer beware -- you are on your own -- even when Milford drops the ball.

So I called up and talked to the salesman who handled it, and he was very belligerent towards me when I told him that two other companies got me quotes within 24 hours. I could barely get my words in as he cut me off repeatedly. I got the distinct feeling I was being a pest and interrupting this person's day. I emailed my experience to the General Manager, and only got silence. Milford Lumber has plenty of competition that's willing to go the distance. If I had bought from them and needed customer support, it's pretty obvious from this experience how that would've gone! Avoid this company -- there's plenty of others to choose from.
