I was very pleased with my visit at The Mill. The offices at Carolina Forest were clean and well equipped. The staff personal we're friendly and knowledgeable. I was there for a cleaning as a first time patient. Their charges were in line with other dental offices. I would remind you to be alert to upsales. Seems like that practice is growing among dentists and other services. No problem. Just remember why you're there. It's okay to reject services you hadn't planned on. read more

I contacted the medical center several weeks prior to my appointment to confirm that my insurance would cover the visit, aside from my required co-payment. I was specifically assured by the staff that they accepted my insurance and that the services would be covered under my policy. On the day of my appointment, the visit went well, and upon checkout, the receptionist again confirmed that everything had been processed correctly and that I was only responsible for my co-payment. Based on these representations, I left the facility with the understanding that my financial responsibility had been fully satisfied. Approximately one month later, I received an unexpected bill in the mail stating that my insurance had not covered the full amount of the services rendered. I immediately contacted the medical center for clarification and was informed that the charges were not fully covered by my insurance after all. Had I been properly informed beforehand that the services would not be covered as represented, I would have had the opportunity to make an informed financial decision regarding the appointment and treatment. Instead, I relied on the information provided by the medical center and proceeded under the reasonable belief that the visit was covered except for my co-payment. As a result of the inaccurate information and representations made by the facility, I am now facing an unexpected financial obligation that I did not knowingly agree to incur. read more

The dentist is pretty nice; but the people working up front is very nasty. If you can; go elsewhere in Horry, Georgetown, or Brunswick counties. The people doing the insurance don't know what they're doing. I had to call BC/BS of SC so they could explain things to them. read more

We were billed for an appointment for a dentist to come in and not do anything and tell us to go to a pediatric dentist. Something they could have done over the phone. The customer service is horrible and they hung up on me twice. Do not go here!!! read more

The dentist I saw was great and heard she left the practice. I see why....Billing does not work with patients. Lack of notes or reading of notes. Does not respond back to pts after leaving voicemail or sending emails. read more

as a first time patient of dental care, I found this to be a fantastic place for my teeth cleaning and overall teeth/gum care. dental hygienist Nikki did a superb job along with my dentist. Everything was wonderful from the first time walking into the office.. they were very helpful very courteous, very professional. It was very clean., the x-ray equipment was clean and of a newer model. It looked like. Based on my experience, I highly recommend the male dental care. read more

I went to see Dr. Laoutaris in October of 2023. I made several visits to the office. Xray's were taken and "deep" cleaning services were provided. In speaking with the dentist, several options were provided to me. Part of the process is for the dentist to take an "impression" which they did. When the impression came back, it did not fit so they had to take another impression. The office had the nerve to ask for payment upfront. Who would pay upfront, especially after a failed attempt with the first "impression" taken. Then I received a phone call from the Mill dentist, (almost three months into the process), I was told that my insurance denied the claim and that I would need to pay $1807.00 out of pocket. In my experience, dental and medical, the leg work regarding insurance approval is performed up front before any major work is started. My wife questioned the process and the cost increase which annoyed the clerk on the phone who refused to provide her name. At one point, the clerk told us to "go somewhere else." We were shocked. We never mentioned that we wanted to go elsewhere. We have the right to question and challenge the difference in cost. However, I am going to take the clerk's advice and go elsewhere. The dentist office can try to spin it anyway they want with their response to this review. I am 70 years old, and this is how I was treated. read more

I went in for a routine check up, which was a cleaning, and standard x-rays, left with pain I didn't have before, which has lasted more than a month. I requested to be seen again about this pain and swelling, they gave me an appointment 3 weeks out!!! They advertise that they have emergency care on their webpage, but that is 100% false. They have no emergency care, it's false advertisement to get new customers for cleanings and x-rays, or minor dental treatment, than it's see you later sucker!! I have an axiety disorder. GPS is really bad for anything on Sapwood. Never been here before, I went in Really nervous. Niki was absolutely wonderful. I like the fact the person the brings you in the back does everything, There is no waiting on anyone, the doc came in to get a rundown of what Niki found looked at my teeth and agreed and set a plan going forward. Niki explained every single thing, niki did the special cleaning. the receptionist was awesome. Made the follow up with Niki. I want her everytime. BTW: Niki plays awesome music to occupy you brain and make you feel confortable. She is an old sole and played 70 - 80's. If you need a new dentist go see this office. read more

Both me and my fiance go to this dentist. We love it. They always make us feel so comfortable for you know, being at the dentist. this place is real bad in communication. I went for my first visit 6 months ago and it went well. I was due for a cleaning yesterday 1/9 and they texted me on Friday to call to confirm, then again on Monday, I called both times to confirm. My husband went in for his cleaning the same day but earlier and he called to tell me they no longer took our insurance. They have known for 3 months but never contacted us. You would think when we both call to confirm it would pop up that they no longer take UHC. Well first thing this morning we both got a text from them telling us that we are overdue for a cleaning. These people are really messed up and its best that we are out of there! read more

These idiots cannot even communicate amongst themselves. They left me a message to confirm my appointment. I responded within minutes but got an answering machine, which apparently they did not check or were not notified of and they cancelled my appointment to fix a broken crown. Sheesh!
