I had stopped going for a couple of years since I had gotten married moved in with my husband, and I had found an optometry close to me, but that was a big mistake since they kept messing up my prescription. Dr.Daza is the BEST!! She explains everything so well, makes me feel like she listens to me and understands me. She recently taught me how to use contact lenses and she was so patient with me since I had long nails on and I was struggling to remove them. I will never stop going here. After visiting different optometrists year after year, I've finally found one I'd be happy to stick with. :) Dr. Madlangbayan was a pleasure to see. I'm so glad my boyfriend recommended her. She's very friendly and easy to talk to. She introduced me to a brand of glasses frames (TC Charton) that work great for my nose structure! I'm very happy with my purchase. Arturo was also very helpful and friendly when I was picking out my glasses. Despite changing my mind on what I wanted multiple times, he was very patient with me. The office has been very careful with their safety measures during covid19. They check your temperature and sanitize your hands when you enter. They wipe down all of their equipment between each use. In the past years I have been seen by both Dr. Daza and Dr. M, they are both very friendly, talkative, attentive and top of the line professionals in their fields! They are doing such an amazing job during COVID by keeping the place safe and sanitized. My appointment this time was with Dr. Donna and she is always so personable! As always, she takes her time with her assessment and explains any issues regarding my eyes. Arturo on the other hand is another all-star! He does such a stellar job and knows my whole family! Overall great experience! In terms of doctors. The doctor was very professional, friendly, and nice. No complaints there. Now, the only feedback I have, which is shared responsibility of me also, is the handling of products for glasses. I have pretty good insurance that covers alot, so I felt blind sided literally by the cost of my glasses. I had my eyes dilated and could not see the writing on the cost outline. And while I own that I shouldn't be agreeing to things I can't see, the staff also didn't state the prices of each item listed or discussed all options. They gave me the most expensive of course. They clumped everything together to make it seem like my exams and everything came out to this sum. And of course not knowing my insurance by heart, didn't challenge it. Thought maybe my Co pays were just that high. So I trusted that they would tell me about the additional add ons. I decided to ask for an itemized receipt the next day, as im sure my insurance covered more. Turns out, they added the thinest lens (instead of giving me options), which I didn't even want nor need, and they didn't mention nor could I see, that the anti reflective shield add on was $100 alone. Now, again I know it's my fault that I just signed for anything and paid it. But also why give patients forms with fees you know they can't see, and then not review each item in detail? Seems hard to just find honest eye places when going in person. Which is why so many people are turning to on line where we can chose our options in full transparency. But lesson learned I suppose. Just transparency would have been nice. So make sure to ask about everything they addto your glasses and the fee you will be responsible for, for each! read more

I have been coming here over a year now and very disappointed in this office. I spent a good amount of money on my progressive lenses back in 2015 and was told a bullet could hit my lenses and it wouldn't get damaged, lies!!! I had the lenses replaced 3 times because they kept cracking!! I went in for my yearly eye exam this January 2016 with Dr. Daza, she is very nice!! Problem with this place is the turn around time for glasses is SO long!!! It takes at lease 15+ days to get a regular pair of glasses because they are sent off to who knows where?!?!?! Arturo wanted to "do right" and get my back up progressive lenses fixed for me, which wasn't necessary because I would just be using those to garden, but a nice gesture. Well, about a month has rolled by I have had NO updates on my glasses and NO call for pick up!! I called this morning and what do you know, they "just arrived" this morning!! REALLY?!?!?! It seems to me they just "wait for your phone call", then they say Oh yeah, they are here. I actually hung up on them today because I was SO frustrated that my glasses were there and nobody called me to pick them up. Haha, Did they call me back? NOPE!!! In my honest opinion , that is poor customer service!! With me being a manager for 10+ years, my priority would be to call that person back and apologize for the inconvenience and make it right with them. They just don't care!!! Staff is really nice. Arturo is awesome at what he does. He has great customer service skills and his phone manner is impressive. However, I think they only have one Optometrist because my son had his apt at 4:45pm and they didn't end up leaving the office until almost 7pm. I recall that last year when he went to his apt we waited for a very long time too. If you have time to waste then by all means come here, otherwise I would suggest trying somewhere else. What I can I say about this place that other reviewers haven't said! If I can give them more stars, I would! I've been going here for 5+ years and my experience every time has been remarkable! I've never had my eyes checked and was super nervous and anxious but Dr Daza and Dr Madlangbayan have put me at ease, as I have a hard time trusting places. The staff are incredible and are very nice! And then, there's Arturo! He is amazingly incredible as he is SUPER patient and really knows and works with you on helping you choose what glasses work for you. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, they take every and all precautions and go above and beyond to make sure all of their equipment and everything is wiped down. My eye exam appointment was on February 15, 2019 and I was impressed with the exam. I gave my glasses to Arturo (sp?) with my new prescription and was told 2 weeks to get my glasses back. When my glasses came in, much longer than 2 weeks, the prescription was not correct. I sat down with Arturo and he said that they would remake the glasses using the same glass my previous lens were made from to correct the issue. Weeks went by and when my glasses were attempted to be picked up the right lens was perfect, but the left prescription was tilted too high. Arturo said that the left lens prescription could be completely lowered/shifted down, so yet again my glasses were left there. Arturo acted as if it was an easy fix and that the next time my glasses came in that I should be all set. Again, weeks went by. On May 15th (3 months after I had first left my glasses), Arturo called and left me a message that there wasn't anything else that could be done to get my prescription correct and that I should pick up my glasses! 3 months they had my glasses and now I need to start all over?!?!?! I told Arturo to put my previous lens back into my frame and call me when they were ready for pick up. Days went by and then I received a message from Arturo that he couldn't get my original lens back into my frames and that they would need to be sent out to be mounted properly. I was told he would put a rush on them and I should be able to pick them up the following Tuesday (we spoke on a Thursday I believe). Tuesday came and went...finally on the following Thursday Arturo called me that my glasses were ready for pick up. Saturday I went in to pick up my glasses and noticed that the lens that were in my frames were NOT my previous lens!! My previous lens had very noticeable white printing from the lens makers and the lens that were in my frames had no printing at all. Also one of my old lens was flatter than the other and these fake old lens were the same thickness. The lens in the glasses were the new prescription NOT my old lens because my eyes had a difficult time looking through them!! He was trying to pass off the new lens as my previous ones! If he would have just fixes the left lens I would have had my new prescription, but no, he would rather lie to me and try and pass them off! They weren't even the same shape of my old prescription! I was refunded the cost of the lens and was told my insurance would be credited back so I could use my insurance to start all over, but I would have rather had my new prescription after being strung along for 3 MONTHS! I put my newly hostage released glasses on and drove out of the parking lot only to have the ear piece snap off the frame!!!!!! I drove back and showed him that now not only were my lens screwed up my frames were FUBR too! I was TOTALLY screwed by this company. 3 months of not having my glasses only to get them back broken and being lied to that my old lens were reinserted back into my frame when CLEARLY they were not. I recently had to get new glasses for my 89 year old mom who lives with & us in home hospice - there's no way for her to get in to see anyone at the Optometry Center. Moms glasses were barely holding together. Dr Donna and the entire staff jumped to help mom out - they understood the importance of an Alzheimer's patient and their need for glasses. If mom is without her glasses - her cognitive decline becomes a bit more rapid. When I picked the glasses Dr Daza using her professional judgement spot on adjusted moms glasses perfectly. I got my daughter's glasses from somewhere else but I got her glasses adjusted here. They were so accommodating and sweet. They even offered to readjust my daughter's glasses for free if needed. Everyone who worked there was so friendly and they really made me feel welcome even though I wasn't a paying customer. This is an amazing optometry center. The service from the staff and doctors are outstanding. Here are a three main reasons why I feel this way: -customer service is always friendly, prompt, and respectful. Arturo and the rest of the team call to remind you of appointments, fit you in when you need to be seen ASAP, and update you on the status of orders. They are friendly in a sincere way, smiling and caring. I love seeing them. They make it easy for me and my family. Arturo is the best. -equipment is state of the art. At my previous optometrist, I never did some of the testing done at Fairway Park. The machines are new and clean, and technicians explain to you the process. -finally, Dr. Madlangbayan is a very experienced and thoughtful doctor. She takes her time (and she is always on time), explains her findings in lay terms, and follows up with you regarding troubles you are having. I would not recommend Fairway Park Optometry. My complaint - I ordered my new prescription contacts after being seen by the doctor on a friday afternoon. I was told I would receive the contacts no later than the following Thursday. I called Wednesday afternoon and the gentlemen told me they would have it by Thursday and he would give me a call as soon as they receive the shipment. Thursday passed and I did not hear back. Today is Friday around 4:30PM PST and the gentlemen finally called with bad news (as expected...). They did not have any contact lenses for me to pick up. (Note: I have been wearing my last pair of monthly contacts for 2 and a half months. I have no back-up and cannot risk not having any - )so, long story short --if you need a quick turn-around, do not use Fairway Park Optometry. read more

Dr. Daza was very thorough with my eye examination. I told her I've been having frequent painful migraines as of late, and she did all the possible tests on me. From regular eyeglasses, I now have progressive transition trifocals. I've been wearing the new pair for four days now. No more migraines. I'm happy that my migraines are gone, but I so wish they have more frames to choose from, and that the transition tints have darker shades. Anyways, this place treats every patient well. I am writing this review while sitting in the dark in my living room, wearing sunglasses, because I couldn't wait any long to write this review and my eyes are still dilated. I just got back from my first appointment with Dr. Donna Madlangbayan and I couldn't be happier with the service I received from the whole staff. Dr. Madlangbayan was cheerful, informative, and made me forget that I was up at 8:15am on the first day of my two week vacation. THe front office staff were really helpful and made me feel really comfortable for a first visit. Arturo reassured me when I felt bad that I couldn't finish my paperwork (I was dilated and couldn't read a thing) that it was no problem and we could finish it next time. Juana picked the perfect pair of glasses for me on the first try, and I ended up going with them after trying on multiple pairs of my own choosing! I was out the door in about an hour, and should have my glasses in a few weeks (it will take a bit longer because of the holidays). They also will clean and tighten up your glasses any time you stop by, no charge. This applies to any glasses as well, it seems, because they did my current pair today while I got fitted for new frames! Bottom line: So much better than anywhere else I've been. Wow I must say this office is hands down better than Dr pope's office. They were able to get my daughter in the following day after Dr Pope's staff turned my 7 year old away due to being 10 min late even after keeping them updated on traffic amd parkng issues. My daughter had a bad right eye but i should thank that office for being non compassionate towards my girl or else I wouldn't have stepped foot in this amazing office. Update 8/28/14: After the disaster of having my eyeglasses delayed and then not done correctly, I managed to get another pair of glasses really quickly and they are great. Arturo worked with me and ordered the glasses to be done at a lab in the east; they usually have the lenses done there and then finish them at a lab nearby. Arturo is great to work with, and I plan to return to have my eye exams here, but I will have the glasses made elsewhere. Since I wrote my previous review, I finally got my glasses after 6 weeks, but found that a "slab off" had been added (to correct double vision) and I can't see properly with them. I hadn't been told this would be done, and I question whether it was done properly. I will ask for a new prescription and hope that I can be reimbursed for the $400+ that I paid and will take them to another optical laboratory. read more
