Frame broke in 2 months time! Have to pay restocking fee to get a replacement frame overpriced at the beginning. Not going back!

This place is ridiculously disappointing. The only reason I went here was because it was convenient with location. I've been to a few eye doctors in the past & this place was by far the worst. The "doctors" are horrible, & the staff (besides Arturo) completely, for lack of a better word, suck. There's no sense of responsibility within this facility. The Best place to go and get your vision check up once a year. Dr. M. will take good care of your eyes and very up to date process. The staff are friendly and will tell you what you need to know. Many variety of new style eye glasses and prescription sun glasses. read more

Took one star away because I ordered contact lenses almost a month ago, paid for them in full (almost $200!) and they never called me to let me know that they were in...to be truthful, it slipped my mind initially, but when I went in after 3 weeks and asked if they were in, they had the contacts there, one of the sales associates asked if my phone number was correct, I said it was...and then...that was it. An "i'm sorry, not sure what happened!" would have gone a long way- rather than a blank stare and silence. I still think that the eye exam I received was great, and that they do have a nice staff, i'm just a little disappointed. read more

I have worn glasses since I was 10yrs old. I highly recommend Fairway Park Optometry because of the care both Dr's give to you in their exam. No rushing, they are extremely professional and they are happy people. Their customer service team is also attentive to your needs. Terrible service. Have been trying to order new lenses (was seen here 5 months ago and have run out) for a month now, but the staff answering the phone keeps putting me on hold and hanging up/telling me they'll call me back or they just don't answer the phone. The optometrist who saw me 5 months ago was great however. She listened to my issues withmy current contact lenses and recommended a great new replacement. It was my 1st visit with Dr. Daza and staff. I have to say I was very pleased. Dr. Daza is very professional and pleasant. She has all the up to date technology. My exam was thorough and didn't take forever like some of my past exams at other offices did. The staff is also professional, pleasant and very knowledgable. I had all three staff members helping me decide which glasses were a good fit for me. I'm very picky and it's important to me to choose the right one. I have been using Dr. M as my eye doctor for years - even before she started Fairway Park Optometry Center. She is thorough and very professional. I like that she uses the latest technology along with old fashioned - looking in the eyes. Mostly, I like how friendly she is at every appointment. When I decided to get laser eye surgery, Dr. M walked me through the entire process with pre-checks and post- checks. She gave me great advice on how to consider mono-vision or equal correction in both eyes. I went with the mono-vision and am glad that I will be able to postpone wearing reading glasses, as my friends are starting to wear them now. My kids also get their eyes checked with Dr. M. She is as good with children as with adults. I highly recommend Dr. Donna Madlangbayan and Fairway Park Optometry Center. read more

I was very happy with both the staff and Dr. Daza. During the eye exam, Dr. Daza was very nice and explained everything. Arturo was patient and attentive as I had to try on just about every pair of glasses. He also printed out my VSP coverage and explained what was covered and my charges. This was the most comprehensive eye exam I've ever had -- I'm so glad I went! I really thought an eye doctor was an eye doctor but now I know that's SO not the case. I'm a cheap-ass and I always figured the doctor at Costco or Site for Sore Eyes or whatever was just fine but it turns out I was wrong. My eyes have been overcorrected for years and my excellent doctor at Fairway Park fixed that. When I went in for the new prescription/new contact lens follow-up, she rechecked everything, made sure my eyes were getting enough oxygen, all sorts of crazy things I didn't know they could do. My last few eye doctors just asked if things seemed ok and wrote out the prescription. Fairway Park definitely cost more than I'm accustomed to paying but they spent so much more time making sure things were right than the $99 guys do. My eyes aren't tired anymore and my vision is much better. (Who knew that even things way, way off in the distance were supposed to be clear?) I'm really glad a friend recommended them. I need a pretty good reason to trek to Hayward from Oakland, but this was definitely worthy. read more

We always get a thorough eye exam, not just a quick check. We have always been happy with our service and feel like family when we walk in. They really take their time in helping to make sure you pick out glasses you are happy with. Dr. Daza is wonderful. She gave me the most thorough eye exam I've had. Arturo is great, picked out glasses that fit my big head. Glasses are comfortable and they dont slip down. I been going to Fairway Park Optometry for the past 5 years. In the past years I have been seen by both Dr. Daza and Dr. M, they are both very friendly, talkative and attentive. Nothing complicated just my yearly eye exam. On my last appointment I was a bit worried that Arturo might not be there anymore because someone else answered the phone he's usually the one that greets you over the phone and at the office. Good news he's still there :). The real star of this place is Arturo he is very knowledgeable about insurances always explains everything in detail and advices you how to maximized your benefits. read more

This place is conveniently located to where I live, the staff is friendly however their frame selection is very limited. They do accept Vsp, and they can order a limited selection of frames that you saw somewhere else, unfortunately they couldn't cover the frames that I wanted from LensCrafters. The staff is very informative and knowledgable when it comes to your insurance options, I just wish they had faster service they seemed understaffed when we came in there on a sat. Afternoon. The place is also small and cramped, but you have ample parking and can kill some time in the nearby shops. read more

The staff is completely amazing (Arturo, Juana, Dr. Madlangbayan)! Everyone is very informative and have such high impressive verbal skills. The Doctor is very knowledgeable and efficient with her exams. I didn't have to wait a long time. They had a fairly small amount of frames to choose from but a very good small brand selection (to make things much easier to choose from in my opinion) The office is very clean and neat. I have had glasses since the 6th grade so I've been a fair number of optometrists over the years. They are very affordable and accommodating! I've never had contacts before so I expressed my apprehension during an appointment and they sat me down and did a one-on-one coaching session on how to put in and remove contacts! I like that when I'm having an appointment the doctor knows my health history and that I don't have to repeat it over and over. They know me by name and not just by a medical or insurance number. I appreciate that I can have my appointments on the evening after work or on Saturdays and don't have to worry about asking for time off. The staff is always welcoming and with a smile. read more

This review is only on the eyeglass service. I didn't see the doctors but only had my eyeglasses filled. I dealt with multiple people, but ultimately the person who saved my impression with the company is Arturo. He is knowledgeable, respectful and friendly. Go to him if you have any problems with your fulfillment. Long story short, I was not happy with the lab that VSP forced them to use and my lens were too thick. Arturo stood by his product and was able to give me some options to make me happy. Customer service is everything and Arturo had great customer service skills. read more

I had been going to Lenscrafters for years. Both times i went it was always hurting the wallet. Now that my insurance has changed I decided to come here from a friend referal and i made a great choice. I got my sister glasses for only 38 bucks( Calvin Klien mind you) co pay, prescription, and exam and Nike eyeglasses for myself for just 150 with co-pay, exam, and prescription included. I realized places like the ones I had gone to before are retail locations always trying to make money. I need a doctor not someone trying to sell me something. Make this you choice for optometry you wont regret it (and neither will you wallet) read more

The Dr's are nice and very patient at this office. However, the service with their glasses sucks royally! When they finally called me to set up an appointment for fitting for my new glasses, the prescription they put on the glasses was for reading. Really? I specifically said I needed distance glasses when I was first trying on new frames. I think one of the staff messed up and I ended up waiting for two more weeks for my new glasses. In addition, they said that since they made a "mistake" on the prescription that they would be "priority" so they could be fixed asap. Here we are, 1 1/2 months later, I still do not have my glasses. They said, it will take another week to get them. Listen folks, if you are looking for a great Optometrist, go to Dr. Madlangbayan. I think she's great! But for glasses and other stuff, you are probably better off getting them from Costco or some other place. I would not recommend getting them from this office. read more
