Recommended an alternate product that was superior to what we wanted. Install guys were great and done in less than 3 hours. Also showed us how to use everything and answered all of our questions. And we absolutely love the sound system! Hands down would use them again and we recommend them to everyone who loves our system.

I have been dealing with GHT for a couple of years now. This time I had the pleasure of working…read morewith Travis. We were wanting to upgrade our projector from a JVC NX7 to the new JVC NZ900. Travis told me they were so new we had to order it to get in line for them so he did. After a month or so the projector came in ahead of schedule. This upgrade was also for all the gaming I do in my theater room so this projector could do 4k 120HZ which was something my last projector could not do. Travis sent Rafeal over to install the projector and some fancy switch and we had to get new HDMI cables that could carry 4k 120 HZ. Well the switch would not do what was advertised they tried for a long time to get the switch to do the 120 but it would not. They came out a second time this time with Rafeal and Chris they worked a long time making calls and looking stuff up to figure out what the problem was. The kept me informed of the plan to fix it which involved putting a new board in my receiver and ditching the fancy switch. So the third time they came out again always on time if not a little early. They got it working in no time with the proper piece they needed. We cannot stress enough how pleasant it was working with Travis, Rafeal, and Chris. I strongly suggest using GHT it is a local owned company and they do amazing work if you are interested in High end stuff. I used to try and save money and use the big box places but they just do not have the skills nor the equipment that GHT can get a hold of. They are super knowledgeable you will not regret using them.

I had a serious dispute with City Home Theater regarding the equipment, installation, and…read morerepresentations made by JD Stewart. To begin with, he attempted to install a Marantz Cinema 50 receiver, which is worth significantly less($2k) than the Marantz Cinema 30 receiver I had paid for. The model number was covered with a sticker, which made it appear as though he was trying to conceal the substitution. When I confronted him, he claimed it was a mistake. However, the Cinema 50 has two fewer speaker channels than the Cinema 30, and he had already made wiring adjustments to compensate for that difference, which suggests he was aware of the discrepancy. In addition, he represented the Zone 2 stereo equipment as "open box," but it was actually approximately 15 years old. Some of the equipment I paid for was not installed at all, and when I raised the issue, he denied wrongdoing and claimed the omission was acceptable because I had received discounts elsewhere. He also installed what he described as a 135-inch Dragonfly screen, but Dragonfly does not appear to manufacture a 135-inch screen, so I still do not know what screen was actually installed. Several of the installed items also failed to function properly. For example, he installed a basic HDMI splitter but could not get it to work. After a brief review of the device, I discovered that the switches had not been set correctly; once I adjusted them, the splitter worked as expected. His response was, "I never got that deep with it." He also charged me $1,700 for an Ava remote, but he was unable to get it working properly. I ultimately brought the dispute to the Roswell Police Department, where I was told that the conduct described could constitute a felony. My wife and I initially asked only for a refund and for him to remove the equipment. In response, he claimed he did not have the money because he was "just the middleman" for the dealers and did not make any money on the equipment. I later contacted his wholesale supplier, Wave Electronics, and was told that statement was not accurate. I also spoke with other local home theater companies who reviewed the installation and described it as among the worst examples of fraud they had seen in the industry. The Roswell PD gave us the option to have him arrested for felony theft by deception but we decided against it. Although my wife and I chose not to press charges and instead reached an agreement with him with the help of leverage from the police department, based on my experience, I would not recommend doing business with City Home Theater or JD Stewart.
