Hubby had a decent break for lunch so me and our daughter went to go to Arby's but last minute decided to go here! We were not disappointed! Very good prices for lunch and we were full! I had a chicken Flauta with a chicken hard taco, hubby had smothered burrito with a soft taco and our 4yr old a cheese quesadilla with FF. Check cane to $22 which you can hardly do at a fast food restaurant. They were fairly busy since it was right at noon. Sat and got chips and salsa which was good. Drinks came right away, sever was awesome (Chase). Daughters food cane out not to Long after ordering, which I like since she eats slower then us. Our food cane out hot and was very tasty! Will definitely go back. Bathroom was clean which is a good thing. Only thing that bugged me was our table was wonky and wobbled. I had a really good experience here. The food came out fresh and fast. It was cooked well and priced very reasonable. It reminds of the Mexican restaurants in the south. The service was great. My glass was never empty and I had everything I needed. The menu is slightly different than most Mexican places. However, all the pictures help. From the looks of it on the outside, it looked like an upscale Tex-Mex. But the food was mediocre at best. Had the stake Duo of tacos and the MEAT was the best thing on the plate. The sides of beans and rice was just about palatable. The salsa and chips were good, but boy are they stingy with the bowel (or thimble) of sauce. I love coming here. The wait staff is nice, the salsa is fresh-tasting and has a little kick, and the food comes out fast and hot. Pretty good, I would give 3.5 stars. I have ate there a few times. They no longer deliver food, but they do catering. Prices are resonable.

I like the shrimp fajitas and the diablo shrimp (the latter is found on the appetizer menu). My daughter loves everything else. I've been to many other Mexican places here in Frederick, and I prefer this one. The atmosphere is cozy, and it's not off putting to be sitting close to others. I prefer their fresh chips and salsa to anyone else's, and they offer it freely with refills on both chips and salsa. I even tried to purchase some to take home, but our waiter offered to give me some complimentary chips and salsa, which 2 paper bags of chips and 8 small containers of salsa, which I relished at home. The fajita's were excellent. We also like that we can order ala carte - tacos, burritos, etc., and don't have to have the traditional platter with fried beans and rice included. I'd rather not eat white rice. Their black bean soup is hit or miss. I've had it on days when it has been excellent, and other days when it has been so so. I guess it depends on who is cooking in the kitchen.. Try the spinach and cheese flautas. Inexpensive, and you won't go away hungry. Now it's later the same day, and our experience at Fajita Grande for dinner was not as good as it has been in the past. I think the service depends upon the wait staff that you happen to get, and tonight the waitress did not refill our salsa bowl, did not refill my water, and asked me if I wanted change back from my $20 on a $14 food bill. Um... I wasn't going to give her a $6 tip, especially given the service rendered. The taco salad was kind of lacking in the meat department, and was kind of bland. I wish they would put hot sauce of some kind on the table. At least at California Tortilla, they have a whole wall of hot sauces. Anyway, I'm not as impressed this time, and I can see why there are some negative reviews. Based on today, FG would only get one star from me. read more

Don't come expecting cuisine, but if you want a good solid meal it's terrific. The meals are large and delicious. Their margaritas are strong and inexpensive (I had the blackberry and it was really good).I couldn't make it to dessert, we decided that next time we'd start with sopapillas and then eat dinner because there is no other way to be able to get to dessert. The staff was very helpful and attentive as well as being friendly even though they were quite crowded on a Friday night. We'll definitely be back. read more

I've been there twice with positive experiences. Go see "Anjar" the waiter and order a margarita the way he likes it. Best damn margarita I have ever had. He puts about 6 different ingredients in it and it's just stunningly good. Food is fine, the chips aren't the best but free and prompt refills are nice. I keep trying different mexican restaurants in town, and then come back to Fajita Grande. It appears to be nothing special on first glance, but the food is just too good. They start with free chips and salsa, and will keep refilling the salsa as needed. The stuffed Jalepenos are my favorite! I get them every time I go, even though an entre gives more than enough food. Being a fan of small businesses and "hole-in-wall" type restaurants, this was the perfect place to grab a drink and have dinner. This place is our go to place for fajitas...! We've been Frednecks for over 25 years now and this is the only place to go for Mexican Food. Yeah yeah been there done that but they still rock. Service top notch throughout all the staff. Including newbies who are watched real close. Came slightly after hours and owner insisted we come in. That was the owner..WOW Went out on a Tuesday night and, forgetful me left wallet home. New waitress steps up says no problem being it back tomorrow. (Would have been her pocket). Went home 1/2hr drive one way, came back tried to leave a $40 tip on a $32 bill manager said too much owner would get mad at him not needed. So left $20 tip on bill and handed waitress $20. cash. I came to fajita grande 3 days ago and ordered the beef enchiladas. They were just ok. I also ordered their cheese dip and was dissapointed it was made with yellow cheese and not the traditional white mildcheese. Overall, not my favorite place for Mexican food. read more
