While at a workshop conference in the Chicago Lombard area, I decided to order dinner via Uber Eats from Fajitas Mexican Restaurant. on a Wednesday evening. I was looking for something warm and flavorful after a long day, and chicken fajitas seemed like the perfect choice. I also ordered a side of rice and sour cream, but upon seeing how large of an amount of food was delivered, I think I may have been able to get by without the additional sides! The chicken fajitas meal included a generous amount of seasoned chicken, refried beans, rice, sour cream, lettuce, a flavorful side sauce, and flour tortillas. There were enough ingredients to make many delicious wraps! The best part of this dish was the chicken, extremely flavorful and well cooked! The flavors all blended together and everything tasted fresh and enjoyable. The tortillas, the flavor of the chicken and the standard sides created a very scrumptious meal! The only downside was that the delivery of my Uber Eats was a bit longer than I expected. However, the food was still great and enjoyed upon arrival. I would definitely be willing to order from Fajitas Mexican Restaurant again, however, I believe I would try dining in on the next occasion to enjoy the meal fresh from the kitchen! read more

The food was good and a large portion. The service was good with the server filling our drinks without us asking(nice) and asking more than once if we needed anything else. The place looks like what it is - a Mexican restaurant with a large mural on wall and the cooks and most of the servers spoke Spanish to each other. So I appreciate the authenticity. In Jan 2026, my sweetheart & I discovered this gem in Countryside IL. We have dined there + ordered carry out. Both options are equally good. They have a "Happy hour" weekdays 3-5pm w many $5 plate specials. If you're there on Weds, say hello to server Shauna who is one of the nicest and friendly person you'll ever meet. I was at a laws at a different spot and did not want to wait two hours. Was looking to have some Mexican food so this was the closest and we stopped. It's in a little strip mall there's parking for the whole strip mall so pretty adequate. Went in service was really nice very friendly. They sat us down within five minutes or so. I took our order very quickly too. There were quite a bit of people which was surprising given the fact that it was in a little strip mall. But it was it was busy. I wasn't certain on what I was going to order, but ended up getting the milanesa de res . It was very good came with rice and beans and a little salad. It did the trick. The restaurant has a big illuminated sign saying orders and I waited until it was my turn to place my order. Attempted to place my order. Later was told I had to wait for the waitress to take my order. So the waitress comes by and seats me and promptly walks away. Went back to the illuminated sign area saying orders, and the lady says you have to order through your waitress, I just take to go orders. After the waitress gets done cleaning a couple of tables, the waitress actually does take my order. About one minute after that my order was at the table. Evidently the cook already heard my order. Arrived and waitress seated us immediately not real busy. Two waitresses tried to bring chips and salsa. Basket was half full and took our drink orders...just a water and a soda...she brought two waters instead. That was the last time they approached our table for more than 15 minutes. During that time, we witnessed the same waitress dropping glasses, plates drinks etc. on the floor from dirty tables...not once but twice in a matter of 10 minutes, while the other waitress who also tried to bring our chips manned the mop to help clean up the mess on the floor. After the cleanup was done, the first waitress who brought our "drinks" was back cleaning tables instead of taking our order and as we got up to leave after sitting there 15 minutes the other one told us good night as we walked out the door to go get dinner somewhere else. I'm not sure if they're under new management, but tonight everything was different -- FOR THE BETTER! We walked in, were seated (let alone acknowledged) immediately. A waitress came to our table in seconds (Vs 15 minutes in the past). Margaritas were served within 5 minutes and were delicious as usual. The food came soon after and was fantastic! So we order food from this restaurant and the tortillas had mold in them, not one little spot but a whole lot all over. We called them to let them know and they had her nerve to say it was cabbage... REALLY???? cabbage on the tortilla? Like I didn't know what mold on tortillas look like. Double check your tortillas before you begin to eat please! First time here after living in the area for years. Decided to try it. Terribleeeee, don't come here. If you want to be sick and eat disgusting food then this is your place. Everything on my plate is just gross. The rice had hard pieces in it, my quesadilla is just mush, so much grease or oil and the cheese is just i don't know how to describe it. Margaritas was blended but it's pure ice. I didn't even taste alcohol in it. Imagine taking a sip and then chewing ice. Never coming here again. By the way their hot sauces here are mediocre. Waiter gave me the hottest they got and she claims no one even orders it because it's so hot.... my husband who hates anything even tiny spicy took a spoon full of it and didn't feel even a little burn. Fajitas is pretty good. Basically your run of the mill Mexican restaurant with a few surprises. It's decently affordable and on par with competitors. The chips and salsa are free (to be expected) the salsa has a nice little kick to it and a little different taste than I'm used too but in a good way. Service is fast and friendly. The burritos are so big here even Joey Chestnut and Adam Richman would look at it and say that's a big burrito! They have a lot of meat choices: beef, pork, steak, shrimp, tongue (beef), etc. I went the pork. The pork itself was fairly flavorful nothing out of this world but for the price not bad. The burrito is mostly filled with lettuce which I wasn't crazy about and they pack the lettuce in there before melting the cheese which leads to warm lettuce. Warm lettuce is weird to me and I'm not a fan. The rice and beans were decent but again nothing to race about. Overall it wasn't too bad, not sure if I would go again but if you're nearby give it a shot. read more

Food is usually good although portions are not all that consistent. Service ranges from just okay to disastrous. Trying to be as kind as I can here, these are some of the things that made this place go downhill over the last few months or so: Waitstaff seems clueless. ( i was sat at a table under a huge roof leak!) Management doesn't really seem to care enough to make it right. Order 3 tacos for one person; two are normal-sized, the third one is skimpy Kids tacos with only meat as filling cost the same as tacos with everything (not a good value) Maybe make kid-sized orders to address this. I have given this place a great review before highlighting their famous Al Pastor and their other delicious specialties, so this is hard to have to finally admit. Please get back on track guys! OVERDUE SHOUT OUT to Fajitas on Joliet Rd in Countryside! !! Been meaning to express our appreciation, here goes: Our dog Snoopy of 14+ years was diagnosed with aggressive spleen cancer towards the end of this past summer. He was kept comfortable with pain meds and he continued to enjoy life as usual. He was my child w/ASD's 1st dog and emotional support. Such a loving, loyal and absolutely adorable lil Puggle! Unfortunately, 10/27/21 we had to guide him to the rainbow bridge as his suffering became evident and his beautiful spirit finally let us know it was time. Prior to that sad, sad day is the reason for this post. For the 2 mos during his decline in health he was spoiled rotten (he enjoyed every min of it)...he began to lose his joy of eating his other doggie foods and non-verbally decided with a few exceptions all he wanted to eat was FAJITAS STEAK burritos! He needed to have food with his meds and so this was the primary food source that he desired, and we provided! Next time I will just drive the extra distance to el burrito loco. I was not really impressed by this place at all. The place looks pretty cool but the service was not good. Our waitress was slow and there was about 4 people in the restaurant not including us. I ordered the chicken enchiladas which weren't all that. They looked better than they tasted. I also didn't like that they didn't offer me a choice between corn or flour tortillas. When I asked the waitress if it was too late to get flour, she told me that the chef had started microwaving my corn tortillas already and that it would cost $1.20 extra to change it. Worst place ever!!! Ordered a pork tamale and received a chicken tamale with mold all over. not only was it on the husk but also on the masa. I called to complain they said it wasn't possible so I went after work showed them which one male worker laughed saying ha yeah you did to the cook and said here take these I said no thanks I want my money back since they thought it was a joke. This place does not deserve a star but since 0 stars is not an option. Called in an order to go, picked it up, got home and was given the wrong order. When I called to tell them my order was wrong the girl who had taken the order in the 1st place was quick to blame me saying that I got what I ordered. No I did not she even repeated the correct order twice before we hung up but was still stupid enough to write it down the wrong. I asked for a refund as I was not going to go back to exchange the wrong that I was given. I had to call back and speak to the manager and he refused to give me a refund unless the order was brought back. This Restuarant has lost not only 1 but 2 customers as the order was for my sick mother and I could not leave her alone and go back to exchange the wrong order that I shouldn't have been given in the first place. I will start off by saying this is authentic mexican food but not the best out there. Went here on a Sunday after our niece's dance recital. We walked in and the first thing I noticed was how many tables had not been cleared off despite not having patrons sitting in them. Also the floor was disgusting. A bunch wrappers and napkins scattered around it. Before ordering I went to the restroom and it was also a mess. Toilet paper all over the floor and a bit dirty. (Not my style) It took a while for our table to get cleaned, I felt bad because the server was very apologetic but there were literally 4 tables in use at the time it should not have taken that long. I ordered the tostada dinner. They ran out of carnitas so could only make my one tostada with carnitas and I told our waitress the other could be chicken. The carnitas were pretty good with some flavor. The chicken was pretty bland despite the salsa I poured over it. My husband and I ordered a medium watermelon margarita and the also ran out of the watermelon mix. I know things like this happen in the service industry but based on the reviews prior to mine it seems like it happens alot here. All in all I was not very impressed with the place. I have had better tasting mexican food, service and a better first impression of the cleanliness of a restaurant. I order Fajita's burritos for my place of work somewhat often. I've personally never liked their burritos (I've had the chicken, steak, and pork burritos). The burritos are always uber greasy and lopsided. They have vegetables in them, but they're always smothered in grease so it is impossible to enjoy them. They add beans to their burritos, however they are simply lackluster. Their guacamole is overwhelmingly juiced with lime, which is only okay some of the time. Their salsa is alright, very spicy. The chicken they use is primarily dark meat, which makes it extra greasy. The steak they use isn't truly steak, but a salty meaty substitute. At first, I thought the pork was alright, however it too was very greasy, and I ended up getting sick because of the pork burrito. And, like I said, since everything is very greasy, it's unappetizing to stare at an orange puddle dripping from your food. I've only dealt with employees of Fajita's over the phone. One time, I called about five minutes before they were open, and the man who answered seemed angry that I called so early and wanted me to call back later. They always have their food ready very quickly, however I have a feeling that is because they simply heat everything up, then serve it as is. They are good about labeling the different burritos, which is nice. If it were up to me, I would never ever order from this restaurant. However, since it is not my decision, my employers will be frequent customers because they serve cheap, quick, easy food. read more

A true hidden gem! We ALWAYS get the carne asada dinner, and it's consistently awesome every time! Steak taco salad is also on point! Best server there is Leticia, so make sure you ask for her! So I haven't been here in awhile and after tonight I remembered why I haven't been here. The food is decent but the service very very bad. I mean they seem to can't take an order correctly. More than 5 occasions they have screwed my order up. So tonight I was about to eat some tacos (3) when I brought the food home it was wrong. I went back and the girl working says the grills are off come back tomorrow. She was quick to say I ordered wrong which I didn't, I had her read the order back to me.
