    Fajitas large margarita. 04/27/2023

I'm not sure if they're under new management, but tonight everything was different -- FOR THE BETTER! We walked in, were seated (let alone acknowledged) immediately. A waitress came to our table in seconds (Vs 15 minutes in the past). Margaritas were served within 5 minutes and were delicious as usual. The food came soon after and was fantastic! I highly recommend.

Average food , great outdoor table service . The drive up was steady with customers .

So we order food from this restaurant and the tortillas had mold in them, not one little spot but a whole lot all over. We called them to let them know and they had her nerve to say it was cabbage... REALLY???? cabbage on the tortilla? Like I didn't know what mold on tortillas look like. Double check your tortillas before you begin to eat please! I don't think I will ever order food from this disgusting restaurant again!! Thanks a lot for the horrible stomach pains from your food and making me sick!!!! SMH

I was very impressed with the food and atmosphere at Fajitas. The tacos were amazing and the guacamole was super fresh! The wait staff recommended dessert and I'm glad I took them up on that! There is also a drive thru so it's very convenient!

Located right on Route 66 the service was good along with the food. With it being outside seating due to the Pandemic the waitress kept our beverage filled since it was hot outside

Fajitas is pretty good. Basically your run of the mill Mexican restaurant with a few surprises. It's decently affordable and on par with competitors. The chips and salsa are free (to be expected) the salsa has a nice little kick to it and a little different taste than I'm used too but in a good way. Service is fast and friendly. The burritos are so big here even Joey Chestnut and Adam Richman would look at it and say that's a big burrito! They have a lot of meat choices: beef, pork, steak, shrimp, tongue (beef), etc. I went the pork. The pork itself was fairly flavorful nothing out of this world but for the price not bad. The burrito is mostly filled with lettuce which I wasn't crazy about and they pack the lettuce in there before melting the cheese which leads to warm lettuce. Warm lettuce is weird to me and I'm not a fan. The rice and beans were decent but again nothing to race about. Overall it wasn't too bad, not sure if I would go again but if you're nearby give it a shot.

Amazing snapper. Dying for my stomach.

Eh. The fajita burrito is good. I don't like the pickled hot veggies nor the retried beans. The guacamole and chips was good.

From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with genuine hospitality. Doña Mari herself was taking orders and serving tables, which made the experience feel even more personal. I ordered the menudo, and it was absolutely delicious--rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. It came with fresh, homemade tortillas that took the meal to another level. They also serve café de olla, which was the perfect complement to the food. This isn't a fancy restaurant, and that's exactly what makes it special. It's warm, authentic, and full of heart. This is an updated review, and unfortunately I'm writing this with a great deal of disappointment…read morebecause my previous experiences at La Cabanita had always been enjoyable. The food is normally very good and we've had many great visits over the years. This time, however, things were different. The experience itself wasn't up to the standards I've come to expect, but what really left me stunned happened afterward. Like many people, I was reconciling my monthly expense report and happened to compare my receipt to what was actually charged to my card. My signed receipt, including tip, clearly showed $69.99. However, when I checked my statement, I was charged $72.78. Now, we're not talking about some life-changing amount of money. It's only a few dollars. But that's almost what makes it worse. It wasn't some outrageous charge that immediately jumps out at you. It felt... sneaky. Maybe there's an explanation, and I sincerely hope there is, because it appears that Jose added a little something extra for himself after the fact. I honestly don't even know what to do. The amount isn't going to bankrupt me, but that's not really the point. When you trust a restaurant with your card, you expect the amount you signed for and the amount you're charged to be exactly the same. That's a pretty basic expectation. What makes this especially disappointing is that La Cabina Villa has always been one of my go-to places. I've recommended it to family and friends and have had many enjoyable meals there. A bad night in the kitchen can happen. Service issues can happen. But losing trust is much harder to recover from. At this point, I'm less angry than I am genuinely disappointed and confused. I never thought I'd find myself double-checking charges from a place I've enjoyed for years. Hopefully management can investigate this situation and provide some answers, because right now this experience has left a very bad taste in my mouth.

Burritos the size of a half loaf of bread…read more In looking around Brookfield for a place to eat at before we hit up Galloping Ghost Arcade, every online comment pointed to trying Taco Azteca. My dad was down for some tacos so we hit up Taco Azteca before we got to gaming. I actually drove by the place, missing the turn to get there due to the strange parking lot situation. After a loop around the block, we pull in to the shared parking lot and headed inside. My dad was looking at the menu on the drive up and was waffling between a taco salad and a burrito. Once I placed my order for a beef burrito, my dad followed up with the same thing. We tried to find a place to sit but the place isn't too conducive to eating in with the few tables they had were either taken or dirty from the prior visitor. The staff was super nice and friendly in trying to get a table cleaned up for us. We ended up snagging one and were promptly served tortilla chips with some of the best guacamole I have ever had. I'm not big on guac as I find it to taste too similar to pumpkin (everyone I tell this looks at me like I am crazy) but this stuff was delicious and had a nice kick to it. My dad found the sauce in one of the bottles to be spicy as hell and passed on using more of it. I found them to be quite yummy but I love me some heat. We nearly devoured half the chips by the time the food came out. They were that good and the food came out that fast. I'm used to Mexican-sized burritos but these might take the cake. They were MASSIVE. I showed everyone I know and their eyes got huge when they saw how big it was. The fries that came with it were those with the little bits of batter on them and I knew they were going to be good. I knew we were in for a good time. How do you even eat something that big? Very slowly and somewhat messy, that's how. I devoured half my tasty fries to free up space on my plate just in case I made a mess. Luckily, this burrito held itself together rather nicely. The burrito was super tasty but I do feel like maybe a chicken or pork version would've been better. I like beef but wasn't in the mood for it when I ate my burrito. That's on me though for not paying attention when ordering and accidentally getting beef. My dad loved his burrito and was able to put the whole thing down since he didn't eat breakfast. I had breakfast so I was only able to put down a little over half. My bottomless pit of a stomach isn't so bottomless now that I am almost 40 (a week shy of 39 during this visit). Overall, Taco Azteca lived up to the hype and was worth every bite. I really wanted to get some of the guac to go. My only warning is that the parking lot is shared and can be tight as well as the seats inside. This place serves better for carry-out if it's busy like it was when we were there.
