This is my 2nd visit to this restaurant and I was disappointed AGAIN! 1st visit the order took an hour to be ready. This visit the person taking orders was RUDE and not helpful at all. I wanted their Caesar salad with grilled chicken (which is not an option). To add grilled chicken was an additional $8; so I would've paid $19!!! I ended up opting for the Grilled Chicken Salad with Caesar dressing $15! The food was bland, the spicy chicken was NOT SPICY just red. I would not be coming back to this place nor recommending it to anyone. If you want slow service and bland food this is the place. For how much we spend eating out, I'd take my business elsewhere. read more

Hands down the best falafel. The owner says it's his mom's recipe. I believe it. Husband really enjoyed his burger. Everything is fresh and yummy. This is not a fancy place but if you want really good hummus and falafel or a great burger, this is the place in Concord. Late post lol....I was in the mood for Mediterranean food and this was nearby so I gave it a shot. It was decent, but not as great as I would've expected for the price. I got the lamb gyro wrap, it looked amazing and smelled yummy when I got it. But there was no "pazzazz" to it, just an, eh, okay, it's alright. Unfortunately it is not a "wrap" but rather the pita bread folded in half like a taco and "wrapped" to hold together by paper. It was a very messy wrap, it was falling out from all angles. My gf got the plate version of what I had for about $4+ more I believe. The only difference was it was served on a plate, the pita was cut into fourths, they gave a scoop of rice and a side of hummus. BUT, at least she got to eat hers with a fork and it didn't fall out anywhere. Ha. Either way, we're still glad we tried it, but it wouldn't be on my list to try again over other Mediterranean spots. Food was so so and way over priced for the quality and quantity of food that you get. But the awful service is what sets this place apart. I walked in and placed an order for a falafel wrap, chicken shawarma wrap, Turkish delight and fries and onion rings, to go. Cost $33 and change. The restaurant had two customers dining in and was empty. No warning was given that it would take 30 minutes to have this simple to go order ready. Had I been told it would take more than 20 minutes, as I should have been, I would have walked out and gotten take out from elsewhere. No apology or anything for the unacceptably long wait. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. This place is way over rated and over priced. I'm shocked that it currently has a 4.5 star average and would expect an average of about 3 stars based on the lousy service and food quality I experienced today. read more

I ate here for the first time ever at noon with a friend. What a lovely experience! My friend and I each ordered a gyro wrap. Ater a short wait, we took our items to go. The gyro was well packed and included an extra container of the yogurt sauce. I loved that the pita bread was grilled. The gyro was bursting with meat. I could have gone with a third less meat and more onions and tomato, but I am not complaining. It was delicious. While waiting for our items, we eyed the dessert treats in a display case. The counter person told us the treats were all imported from Turkey. He offered to let us try one for free. We chose a deep burgandy colored pomegranate piece. Wow, was it delicious. Next time I will try another. The one we tried was usual and bursting with flavor. My friend discovered this place a while back and said the falafel wrap was equally delicious. They also have frozen dessert treats in a case which I will sample another time. We will be back!! read more

Best Mediterranean spot I've had in a long time! They are currently open for takeout. You order at the door and they'll call your name when your order is ready. The workers are super nice! I ordered the combo plate which comes with pita, salad, hummus, rice, gyro, chicken, & sauce. They give you a good amount of food and the pita is even a full size (most places give half a pita). Everything was so good! Rice was flavorful and so was the meat. Definitely wish it had a little more spice to it but I'm not complaining. Already wanting another plate! read more

I dislike leaving negative reviews for local places, but i was underwhelmed by my meal. The staff engagement was neutral. The restroom was DISGUSTING. Restroom cleanliness says a lot about a restaurant, in my opinion. After going into the restroom, I immediately regretted placing an order. I purchased the falafel platter. The falafel was decent. The hummus and pita bread were good. There was barely any salad and a large serving of rice. I would have preferred opposite salad and rice ratios, but that's a personal choice. Best spot EVER! This sounds a bit crazy..but I have been 7 times within the past week and a half. The falafels are the best I have ever had in my life, hands down. We ordered two burger meals, one with curly fries and the other with regular fries, and a order of combination Chapli and beef tekka kabob. The burgers were REALLY good, probably one of the best Halal burgers I've had. It was cooked to perfection with all the right toppings. The curly fries were not so great, the regular fries were as you'd expect. The combination kabob was Okay. The Chapli smelled like it was Ground lamb as opposed to beef. Lamb has a very distinct smell and I'm not a big fan of it. Typically, Chapli is made with beef.. I can be wrong? I feel like the kabobs were a bit on the salty side and the portion size seemed a bit small. The people working there seemed nice. I must say it's nice to find all these new halal franchises opening up, there are finally some good options around. Id definitely visit again. Kind of want to keep this hidden gem to myself. Don't really want to share this amazing food! My diet is about 80% vegetarian and I'm not a big fan of meat. But, the chicken platter here is amazing. The chicken is tender and flavorful and you get an amazing portion the salad is great and hummus is always appreciated I'm a huge fan of falafel but the falafel here is a little on the dry side, probably a 5 out of 10. I can't put into words how excited I am to finally have a legit Halal (certified) American burger/diner food option, here in the Concord area. Prior to this place opening; For years, we had to travel to places like Mirchi's in Dublin, Falafel Corner in Fremont, or Q's Halal Chicken in Alameda/Richmond. I had always hoped that a place that offered high-quality, restaurant-oriented, American/Afghan fusion-food would come to Concord, but I wasn't sure if/when, it would happen. This place has some of the best halal cheeseburgers I've ever tasted, and is definitely on-par (the same standard of amazing quality) that is found in Fremont, Dublin, and all the other places in the South Bay. Extremely delectable bacon & beef patties, smothered with American cheese, a toasted bun, and all the right sauces. Their Chicken Quesadilla & Philly Gyro, are made with succulent & tender halal meat. There is another Falafel Flame location in Dublin, which too is also amazing, but this place is identical in its superb quality & ingredients, but so much closer to residents of Concord/Walnut Creek. My favorites definitely have to be the Hawaiian Burger, BBQ Chicken Wings, Philly Gyro Wrap, Curly Fries, and Chicken Quesadilla. I hope this location can start offering halal pizza in the near future, as well. Now all we need is a Halal Chinese/Halal Mexican restaurant in Concord, and we will be on-par with our fellow kindred in Fremont & the South Bay Area. read more

Served very hot, it was a little spicy with plenty of onions, peppers, and a good amount of chicken. The only negative is that it's nowhere near my home. To be honest, there are a lot of good Halal/Mediterranean food places out here in Concord, but for the first time, I got to say that this place takes the cake. I ordered on Grubhub, as they are for takeout only, and I must say that I am so glad that I did. I only got the combo plate and will be back just for this dish. Food is delicious, nutritious and so flavorful, that I was sold on my first bite. There's definitely enough food for two servings, but I doubt I'll leave any for tomorrow. Horrible service. I came in on March 30 and ordered the Philly Wrap, which was shown on the wall menu for $11.99. The cashier charged me $12.99. When I pointed out that she overcharged me, she shrugged and insisted that her computer was correct and the menu was wrong. I asked for $1 back and she refused. For $1, they could have avoided a negative customer experience and this negative review. $1 seems trivial, but I will never go back again. Be prepared to pay more than their menu prices. read more

I have been here at least 3 times while at work, and always left satisfied. Each time, I got the same thing - chicken wrap. It's messy, so grab lots of napkins. The sauces make the wrap better. I recommend the spicy version if you like a little kick. I told my wife about it and ordered her a grilled chicken salad recently. She said it was the best salad she's ever eaten at a restaurant! I took one star away because the wait for food is pretty long, so plan ahead and be prepared to wait at least 15 minutes. The prices are on the high side, but what isn't these days! My daughter and I were greeted with a smile and when I told the lady at the entrance that it was our first time there, she gave us tasty treats on the house (the pistachio powder one was delicious). Since it's currently take out only (and 100+ degrees today) we waited in our car. To our surprise, the nice lady brought our order out to the car. As for the food, so yummy and big portions. Yikes! I ordered food from here for the millionth time and I requested NO bag. I have reusables I pick my food up with and they have always respected this request ever since the restaurant opened. When I arrived a couple months ago, my plates were tied up in a plastic bag. I let the cashier know that I had requested NO bag (as always) in a very polite manner. He took it off immediately and threw it in the TRASH! He appeared frustrated, it was a terrible move and this caused me to not return again.
