I came here with high expectations and this place delivered. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Would have given it 5 stars if not for the mosquitos/flies flying around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Husband and i got 2 falafel sandwiches and their zatar fries. The sandwiches are on the smaller side and hence the $5 price point. Its not like its some super cheap eat the way I've seen some reviews mention (or maybe we r just big eaters). The zatar fries were very thin and oh so yum. More than enough for 2. I loved all the different sauces they had-i think about 5? I tried them all and loved the spicy one and their signature one the most. Love the mission behind the restaurant and would gladly give them my business when I visit DC again. Alternatively, please open one in the bay area!

The place was bustling on a Saturday afternoon. I stopped by for a falafel sandwich, falafel bowl, and fries...and I was blown away. Here's why: - Quality: every item was fresh, and the falafel was not dry! I usually don't opt for falafel bc of how dry it is, but this one really wasn't! It was filling but moist and delicious. Also, the veggies and sauces paired well to give it flavor and texture. Again, usually not a fan of falafel, but I was this time. - Service: Food was pretty quick and the staff were really kind considering how busy the shop was. It took about 10 minutes to get the food. - Ambiance: This is a grab and go place. They have some high tables to quickly scarf down your meal or package your to go bag, but I suggest walking around Georgetown area to eat your food elsewhere. I will absolutely visit again and bring vegetarian friends. Such a bang for your buck!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The place feels like a typical hole - in the wall (order counter and no seating) but the food is not typical![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is fast. They have a limited menu, but what they have, packs a punch of flavor! Of course, who goes and doesn't try the falafel? Me ‍. BUT, the plant based-shawarma, the chicken and rice bowl and the zaatar fries ! And, you have to try every sauce! Seriously!!! I will be back. Make this your next quick grab spot while you're in Georgetown. You won't regret it!

If I'm ever in Georgetown, you know where I'm eating. Finally made it back to my favorite falafel spot after years and they didn't disappoint. I wish there was one near me. I got my aunt to try falafel for the first time and she was so pleased and grateful for the experience. Thanks for always being a solid and affordable pickup!

It was nice to step inside and get out of the bitter cold to enjoy some hot food. There is no seating area so, we took our order home and ate. It was very good and I I had enough to take for lunch the next day which was still good.

The portion compared to the price is insane! You really get your money's worth and more. The falafel bowl is delicious. The service was great, cashier is very friendly.

Delicious & such a good price! Love the falafel sandwich here and the fries are crispy and tasty~

Had a falafel sandwich and the za'atar fries. The fries were delicious! Paired with the habibi and white sauce, along with all the spices it comes with, it was bomb diggity! The sandwich was good too, with fresh ingredients.

Exactly what any community needs. An establishment with values and quality food for a wonderful price. Coming here restored my faith in affordable, delicious, food with employees who care. I got the falafel bowl and fries. The fries were well seasoned and had a pleasant potato flavor, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

What a great spot for delicious falafel at a very affordable price! They have a just a few options on the menu, but I guarantee you'll love the falafel. I ordered the falafel bowl with hummus and a side order of fries. Also recommend trying all the sauce options with your bowl or dipping the fries or pita in them. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Just two tables inside, so not a place for a sit-down meal inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Grab your bowl to go and head down to the water for the scenic views.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking in the area is not great. Try to avoid driving into the area if you can. Very pedestrian friendly in Georgetown. A new favorite for me!

How could it possibly anything less? The service awesome! Staff is friendly and kind. They make delicious foods too! Yum! This a green and go place. Their falafel bowl is exceptional and inexpensive. Lots of fresh spinach, pickled veggies and crispy pita. Wow! The Zatar fries are amazing! They don't have ketchup however they have multiple flavorful sauces. Yum yum yum! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They play upbeat music so you can jam while you wait.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plan to eat this somewhere else unless you're lucky to be able to get one of the 3 tables inside to stand at. This is a take out joint[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I was lucky to eat my delicious falafel in the shop as it was bomb! I can't believe that such a delicious treat at such a great price has been around for so long in Georgetown. Delish!

We came for a quick, cheap, healthy lunch and it delivered! The spinach was fresh and I enjoyed the pickled vegetables alongside the pita chips and falafel. We tried all the sauces and enjoyed the Habibi sauce the most. So tasty at a great price point. The food came out quickly as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop seemed more like a grab and go spot but still had some tables and napkins to eat at.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was so refreshing and we would love to eat here again.

A New Yorker is rating this store. I was told to go to this store while I'm in DC. So on purpose to go to this store while there're so many yam places I wanted to try.....yes, I didn't cheat. lol [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's easy find a sign outdoor, inside is very cozy no place to eat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I hope summer time can offer any tables?[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered so many! Veggie bowls, falafel balls, fries, and pita! I'll need to get source for self-services. grab the bags to go. it's very good and so tasty!!! I'll Def come back here. I highly recommended those who buying burger or pizza around the corner... try this out. Each items are less than $10...! My city, will change this is for over $15!!! store friendly! Thank you so much for the cashier! Yes you guaranteed the taste :) I've attached some photos I hope it will help. :) I was told that the store is located in DC areas, LA, and Boston. Is there a lettuce wrap option? I would love to have a keto-friendly falafel.

keto is not a smart dietary practice.

Are any of the sauces that come on the sandwich not vegan? One of them looks like tzatziki, which would contain yogurt.

The stuff on the sandwich is all vegan. I asked and made sure if it's tzatziki and they told me no on two separate occasions. The ones on the condiment stand are different and some are not vegan but I can't remember which. I think the hummus they…

Free Parking in the area? Or if not, how much?

You can park for free further up in the neighborhood. There's always a good chance to find a spot if you're willing to walk a little bit, rarely on the main streets though. Georgetown is usually packed with tourists and area fans.

Are any of their items halal/zabiha?

    Its all vegetarian

Appreciate you can try different sauces to dip your fries or add to your sandwich or bowls. Only reason they didn't get a 5 star on this last visit was how long it took to get our order. It was a Saturday night, so we did mobile ordering and pickup. It said it would be ready within 3-15 minutes. I arrived 12 min after our order was placed. They were quite busy - and seemed the two employees working were a bit overwhelmed. There were a few people waiting for food, a line to order, they were out of containers for sauces, and some of the sauces were empty. I ended up waiting for an extra 25 minutes until I asked to check on an order - it was apparent from their reaction, our order got lost in the shuffle. Once they realized, they made it right away, which was appreciated. However, they grabbed a bag of fries that had been sitting on the counter since I walked in - so they were cold. Good thing - they do great in the air fryer! I've never experienced these issues before and it won't stop me from returning, definitely felt like a bit of an off night for them. Solid food, great cause, and one of the best affordable options for a quick bite at the Wharf! Recommend them!

I suspect they do this routinely, with enough orders this money adds up. I have never, not once, received a sandwich from this company, ordered either in-person or on-line, in which they have added the extra hummus for which I paid. It's really weird and again it smacks of theft. In the past I have ordered from the Potomac Ave store and they, too, have skipped the hummus on the sandwich. I also requested an order of hummus and pita. The pita is stale. And No, I'm not merely frustrated - it is actually stale. The hummus is cool, yet it runs like water. wt heck, seriously. The sandwich itself was meek and tired looking compared to the sandwich I had at Mamouns in NYC over the weekend. What a waste of money this place is.

I'll say the nice thing first, though, which is that they have a nice water dispenser with little cups between the register (where you order) and the food display (where you pick out your fixings and receive your order). So you can have a sip of water while you're waiting the two or three minutes it takes to get your food. I had the "schnitzel," which turned out to be just chunks of breaded/fried chicken breast. Real schnitzel (which this is NOT) is flattened and tenderized by pounding it thin and flat. These were just big, tough chunks, which of course have to be a little overcooked to be cooked through to the center. So that was, to this schnitzel devotee, a disappointment. I guess if you know you're just getting chicken "tenders," it might seem better. The laffa flatbread it was wrapped in had a leathery texture that I did not enjoy, and did not finish. The various fixings I tried--vegetable salads and dips--were good, though. So it was not a complete fail. But for the price there are a lot of places--even some on the very same block--that make a far better meal, and offer a real dining experience to boot. For the full experience, I ate in. And really, the place is a dump. The tabletop was sticky; I had to put down napkins to keep my elbows clean. The sound of a fan dominated the space. They don't seem to have changed the furniture since the Astor days (the service counter is the same, too), though it seems dirtier and more dilapidated and less decorated than it was then. The self-busing stand sort of makes the point that it's really not trying to be more than a takeout joint. At this price point, I expect more. It really made me miss Astor.

Some hours ago--never mind how long precisely--having little or no provisions in the pantry, and nothing particular to interest me at home, I thought I would stroll about Georgetown and see the Levantine offerings of the city. It is a way I have of driving off the spleen and regulating the digestion. Whenever I find myself growing grim about the mouth; whenever it is a damp, drizzly November in my soul; whenever I find myself involuntarily pausing before mediocre sandwich shops, and bringing up the rear of every uninspired lunch line; and especially whenever my hunger gets such an upper hand of me, that it requires a strong moral principle to prevent me from deliberately stepping into the street, and methodically knocking people's hats off--then, I account it high time to get to Yellow as soon as I can. This is my substitute for pistol and ball. With a philosophical flourish Cato throws himself upon his sword; I quietly take to the cafe. There is nothing surprising in this. If they but knew it, almost all men in their degree, some time or other, cherish very nearly the same maritime longing towards a perfectly wood-fired pita. Stand at the counter of Yellow, your eyes fixed upon that golden, puffy vessel, blistered from the hearth. Why did the old Persians hold the sea holy? Why did the Greeks give it a separate deity? I found my answer when I plunged into the hummus--a swirling, creamy expanse of whipped chickpea, earthy za'atar, and rich sesame. As every one knows, meditation and tahini are wedded for ever. The pita, warm and impossibly soft, served as my vessel, navigating the golden pools of olive oil just as a Nantucket ship cuts through the Atlantic. There is magic in that dough, pulling you away from the shore of the mundane and into a deeper, richer abyss of flavor. If you are feeling a damp drizzle in your soul, do not take to the sea to drive off the spleen. Take to Yellow. Five stars.
