Good protein portions and fresh vegetables. The Korean bbq beef tastes a little sweet in a nice way but still savory. The chicken is solid--my somewhat picky toddler liked it. The honey citrus kale base is one of my favorite ways to eat greens, it's a very tenderized kale. As for the toppings, the curry chickpeas have a mild but delicious flavor and are nicely soft. For the sauces, I love the gochujang. It has a flavorful spice that's not painfully spicy. I found the yum yum sauce oddly sweet in a way that wasn't for me. The sesame oil was so light it kind of disappeared. Overall a delicious way to get your vegetables in. read more

A solid fast-casual spot that's conveniently located, affordable, healthy, and scratches my never-ending itch for good Korean / Asian food. Is it the most authentic or best Korean food that I've ever had? Of course not, but no one is asking Bibibop to do that. Is it tasty, easily customizable, have great variety, and decently cheap? Absolutely. And they even have meatless Monday bowls for 20% off, which is a great plus for all of my plant-based friends (or anyone whose New Year's resolution is to eat a little less meat while also saving a few dollars). I have yet to actually eat inside of a Bibibop, but it's definitely been a mainstay in my rotation of takeout and delivery over the past few months. I've been impressed by their consistency with the quality of their cooking and the freshness of their ingredients. I'll usually build my own bowl with a supergreen salad base and tofu....plus basically all of the toppings aside from the cheese. I do find the tofu and especially the potatoes a touch greasy for my taste / compared to other fast-casual salad / bowl spots, but that's honestly such a nitpicky comment. The gochujang sauce really enhances the overall taste. The interior is very narrow but had ample seating. The beverages station has an array of options. But definitely try bibimbap from a mom and pop Korean restaurant when you get the chance! Free miso soup was ok but it's free and hot. You get a choice of salad, soba, white rice or purple rice. You can also mix half and half. I mixed white and purple. I tried the chicken and it was okay. I also wish they gave more per scoop. The veggie choices were interesting but still made sense I guess so tbh not sure how I feel about it LOL. Maybe since the toppings are made in batches and just kinda sit there. It was good overall. I added conventional japchae toppings like carrots and mushrooms, and then a whole bunch of unconventional toppings like kale, corn, eggs, and cheese. It was still delicious and I was pleasantly surprised! Cheese is a must add. We took our orders to-go and picnicked under the trees in DuPont circle. My only word of caution is that some toppings cost extra. I can never choose between purple rice or japchae noodles so I tend to get both which is a great balance. the steak is also a nice touch as well as the spicy chicken. the option to customize the bowls is my fave option and six toppings is more than enough with this special! the passion fruit lemonade is sweet, but nice and refreshing. the cookie is gluten free so I wouldn't get that again the staff here is always friendly and the restaurant clean. there are no outlets so it's not the exact place to work from, but it's nice to take some time to sit and eat in a clean place. read more
