Gyros in Pita. Do not recommend.

Orange freeze: needs more orange flavor. 3/5 The hot sauce portion seems to be getting smaller -- this last visit, I got a large falafel sandwich, extra hot sauce, and ran out before the sandwich was done. I resorted to licking hot sauce residue out of the empty container and off the sandwich paper, like a dog. Falafel sandwich's still fire tho!

This place has been on my wish list for a while. I can't believe it's taken me so long since I'm nearby. It's famous from Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. It has a time tested menu which is simple. Walk up window service. We tried the Koubby, hamburger and fries just to keep it real. There's seating inside and out. Very simple and old school. We thought it might be super crowded and there were people dining outside and they have a healthy takeout business but it is manageable. The nearby neighborhood is cute, too. The Koubby is basically a meat falafel but huge. They pair it with 2 kinds of sauces. I liked the white sauce. The other looked spicy so I skipped it. We liked our meal so much we went back and got the famous banana shake. They use real bananas and it's very thick and creamy!

This place is a no frills spot with great food. When you pull up, you'll notice that it looks old school. You walk up to the counter, order your food, and pick it up when your number gets called. You can either sit outside or take it home. In any case, you'll find people snacking away on all the good stuff. I found some of the best falafels I've ever had here. Stop waiting! Get there and order already!

I came here on a weekday night to grab dinner to go and it's such a fun, local spot with a very friendly vibe. It's sort of a half indoor, half outdoor dining area which is so unique and I love. The menu has good variety and the prices are very affordable. I ended up getting the chicken pita with a side of onion rings and it was fantastic. The chicken was moist and plentiful and the onion rings were so good. Very crispy and light and not oily at all. Onion inside was perfectly tender too. Pairs well with the spicy red sauce they have which has a small kick but is overall savory and a little sweet. Also their banana shake is so good! I had a sip of it to try from another member of my party who ordered it and it was not artificial tasting at all. Very pleasant banana flavor and not too thick in texture! Friendly service and affordable prices, I will definitely be back!

I forgot how good this place is. This has been here since 1966 and they have a beautiful mural on the inside. It's across the freeway from the Valley Fair Mall and has a huge retro sign in front that is lit at night. There are a few spots in the front a lot more parking in the back lot. We ordered: -Daily Special (Large Falafel with a Fresh Banana Shake): Falafel was so fresh, flavorful, and came with a couple extra sauces. The banana shake has real bananas in it and you can taste the quality. -Fish Sandwich: this was okay but a good option for Lent. I asked for light mayo. -Dolmas: SO GOOD. I love dolmas, but theirs was so fresh, soft, and came out warm. It comes in orders of 7 pieces. There is mostly outdoor seating with heat lamps on the ceiling and there are a few indoor tables. You order at the window and they give you a ticket. You can see them making everything fresh. Tips: -This place was also featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives on the food network before. -There are a couple restrooms in the back. Definitely worth a stop!

Saw this place on YouTube a few times. Everyone said how great it was so I decided to give it a shot. This place did not disappoint. It's got great murals painted all over and has an old school feel to it. It's outdoors but very clean. We ordered food from a very nice woman in through a walk up window. The food was ready very quickly. We order Gyro sandwich, Dolmas, pita chips, Falafel balls, hummus, and pita bread. Everything was amazing. I will be going back there soon.

If there's one thing you've got to get here, it's the gyro sandwich! Seriously the softest & most flavorful gyro I've ever had. I honestly liked it more than the popular falafel sandwich, which was also really good! The hummus here is also a must; it goes with everything. I'd pass on the burger and burrito though. Very quick & convenient spot. We ordered a ton and everything came out within 10 minutes. There is seating outside but easily can take the food to-go. There's a beautiful mural outside! So intricate and fun to look at while eating.

Haven't been here in a long time so we decided to pay them a visit. I always have to have the banana shake! I paired it with a large Gyro and it hit the spot! My wife wanted a gyro and a side of pita chips and hummus! The owner graciously offered her a small side so we didn't have to purchase a whole container. Onion rings were crispy, Pita and hummus was delicious and the gyro called it all off! I'll make sure we don't go too long before the next time we come around. Watch for the birds! They can ruin your whole meal.

We decided to give Falafel's Drive-In a try and despite being a filling meal, it wasn't the best that I've had. I got the Falafel Sandwich and a side of onion rings. Everything is packed into the pita and it can get quite messy. It was a good amount of food and the price was affordable, but the flavors felt a bit subpar compared to other Mediterranean spots that I frequent. The falafels also weren't as tasty as I expected. The onion rings were good and satisfied my cravings for it. I wouldn't mind giving them another try, but they wouldn't be on the top of my list when I'm thinking of Mediterranean food.

My cousin came to visit me and this was a MUST STOP before I dropped her off at SJC airport. This drive-in has been serving San Jose's best Middle Eastern Mediterranean food since 1966 and has been featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive Inns and Dives. The special- falafel sandwich and banana milkshake is a steal. Ask for extra hot sauce and don't miss the hummus! Huge portions and everything is authentic and as good as it gets! Note- outdoor seating only.

Stopped by for lunch.i haven't been here in years. This was my go to for lunch when I worked on this side of town. I ordered a falafel, fries and a banana shake. Glad to see that the quick service hasn't changed. Make sure you try the red chili sauce,it's sweet and slightly spicy. Don't judge the quality of the food by my picture. I tipped the bag over on the way gome

Parking can be challenging despite a parking lot available, so be prepared to wait. Once you place your order things move quite quickly. There is limited inside tables that are pigeon free or you can sit outside & be amongst a flock of eagerly hungry pigeons ready to eat any food that falls to the ground. Orders: Gyros Sandwich w/Tahini Sauce-nice tender pieces of meat w/a deliciously creamy sauce. A classic sandwich to order Falafel Sandwich w/Hot Sauce-crispy falafel pieces & fresh pita nestled in hot sauce was a nice vegan option. Both were great choices, look forward to trying out more items in the near future.

Visit I'd driven by here before and finally got the chance to try it. The line looked long at first, but it moved quickly. I grabbed a table while my husband stayed in line to order. Food We ordered the banana shake combo with the falafel sandwich and fries, plus an extra falafel. The fries portion was generous, definitely enough for two people to share. The banana shake had a strong banana flavor. I'm not sure I get the pairing of banana and falafel, but it's clearly a popular combo here. The falafel sandwich was delicious. The falafels were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and very flavorful. It came with red and white sauces. The red sauce wasn't spicy like I expected, and the white sauce (tahini, I think?) balanced everything out well. Overall Experience It was a filling and satisfying meal. Parking out front is limited to a few spots, but there are more spaces available behind the restaurant. Conveniently, it's also just down the street from the West Valley Mall.

The tahini sauce is actually dairy free. It is made out of sesame paste, garlic, lemon juice, and water without dairy.

    How's the banana milkshake?

    Fucking delicious. It's a "must-get" imo

    Yes

I grew up eating my Mom's Mousaka and I've eaten it in Athens, Naxos and Santorini. Let me tell you, their Mousaka was excellent. The eggplant, potato, meat filling and béchamel on the top were perfect. It's definitely a must try. The three skewers of meat were so flavorful and juicy. Both my husband and I loved it!! The pita bread it came with so warm and soft. The Spanikopita was fresh and hot. Delicious flaky phyllo dough with a savory spinach interior. The salads that came with each dish were also wonderful. After telling her they gave my order to the wrong person, she looked at the other girl and said "you deal with it" and proceeded to ignore us. My favorites include the shawarma lamb wrap damascus style, falafel tacos, the original chicken shawarma wrap, and of course the pickles and toum. I also really enjoyed the Fatteh. You can't really go wrong with anything here, it's just about what your personal favorites are. The owners are so kind and friendly, always chatting with everyone in the restaurant, they create a very warm and welcoming environment, and you can tell they really care about what they do.

First of all Fabiola... what a wonderful experience you gave me as a first timer! Thank you for the…read moretop notch service. I came into the restaurant asking how long my order would take, she said 10 minutes. Although there were chairs and tables under an eave, I chose to go to the car. Faviola brought the food to me and it was sprinkling outside! She even came back and gave us extra utensils when she realized there were two of us. All the while smiling:) I ordered via yelp because we were starving and easily this restaurant has their menu in organized and visually appealing. Their descriptions and the variety of selections and customizations on point. My husband said he wasn't hungry but then saw the food and we scarfed it all down. He gave it 8.5 and said would come back. I ordered pickled vegetables which I thought was going to be onions but I think it's actually cabbage. Not my preference so I will take that home to the parents. Did order yogurt dip- husband was a fan. The chicken thigh and filet were so tender. I had put a note on the order for medium rare. I wouldn't call that medium rare but it was tender nonetheless. I'm sad I had to pay extra for a half of a Roma tomato, salad and lavash- the lavash I saw it in the add-ons menu so I assumed it wasn't in there. Ended up with so much lavash. No need to buy extra. The entire thing came up to $63-ish. The food was 4/5 but service was 5/5! I know this economy has everyone struggling. This was probably the most I have spent on Mediterranean food. I would have expected $45-$50. We just came back from Turkey so this would have costed us $15-$20 USD. Portions for rice and meat were good though! All in all- would come back!

The meat is tender and savory and the greek salad has a lot of greens in addition to the cucumber and tomato which I love. Their tzatziki, sauces, and pitas are great too! I ordered them for catering and was amazed at how easy the experience is. You can order fairly last minute even for large amounts (I ordered 2 days before) and they are very generous with their portions. Everyone who ate remarked on how good the food was. I also chose delivery which was done through doordash and was well packed and exactly on-time to what I had requested. I will absolutely use them again for catering as well as easy weeknight dinners!

The main drawbacks were the portion sizes and the wait time. At approximately $17 per plate, the portions felt somewhat small for the price, making the food seem a bit overpriced. Additionally, there was a wait of about 20 minutes or longer for the food to be prepared. This may have been due to limited staffing, a high volume of online orders, or both. Overall, the food quality and customer service were enjoyable, but the long wait times and smaller portions for the price may be factors to consider before visiting
