Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday around 11:30 a.m., and it wasn't busy at all. I ordered the combo lamb and beef wrap. The wrap itself was more like a Mexican-style flour tortilla than a traditional pita, but it actually worked well and held everything together nicely. The vegetables were fresh and the meat was flavorful and tasted freshly prepared. My only criticism is that the portion was on the small side, especially considering the price. Overall, though, it was a tasty, fresh meal, and I'd be happy to stop by again.

As someone who's not a huge fan of Turkish food in general, garlic was able to change my mind completely! I tried the iskender Kebab plate a the Turkish Pizza (lahmajun) and both were very flavorful and filling. The Turkish pizza is only nine dollars and it's a meal on its own but if you're feeling very hungry than you can get two of them, which I love doing. Another option that's more of a plate, is the iskender which came with yogurt and was meet with cut up pieces of bread, and I hadn't had anything like it before, but everything paired very well together and the meat was very tender, juicy and flavorful. I tried their wraps as well, but I will say the two I mentioned are my top options every time.

Though there aren't other restaurants that are truly a 1:1 comparison, there's other Mediterranean restaurants that do kebabs that have a slightly better price point. Got the iskender kebab ($25) and side of Turkish kofta ($12). I've never had these dishes before so wanted to try. Loved the iskender kebab. The meat was flavorful and the tomato sauce as well. They have pictures of the menu items on the wall so it was easy to see the dishes. My friend and I both got the kebab plate but I opted for chicken shish kebab while she got the beef/chicken combo. After we sat down the worker told us that she would bring fresh pita bread in a bit. The portions are good and really filling. Great option for lunch spot and it was not super crowded on a Saturday afternoon.
Today (8-18-2025) was my first time at Garlic Mediterranean. First impression was that of Irfan, the owner, greeting me and giving me a food recommendation. Then showing me the fresh kebab as he laid it on the grill. It was like a friend showing you their trade at a family BBQ. Just a really inviting impression that made me feel welcome. As I sat at my table, I had a moment of regret that this place might be like the Greek Spot where they have overly tough meat they pass on as "steak" and overly saturated salad. Irfan brought me the Adana Plate. I always taste the sides first and the rice flavor jumped out as me as something special. Full of flavor, a politely tasteful hint of cinnamon or star anise spice (or something else), and not dry! Lots of Greek places think people don't notice boring rice. Garlic got it right. The next surprise was the baba ghanoush. DELICIOUS. I wanted a pint of it after the first bite. And I hadn't even gotten to the meat yet. The kebab was laid atop a thin slice of pita that soaked up its goodness, and actually kept the plate clean (such a cool idea!). Delicious, perfect amount of salt, wonderfully spiced and every bite was a delight. The salad had just a hint of too much dressing but look at the picture and see that there wasn't a single wilted or old piece of lettuce. This is what pushed me to give 5 stars because attention to detail was off the charts. Lastly, the baklava was nicely soaked with honey syrup and had a crunchy top. You really can't ask for more than that. It was a truly decadent dessert that had me thinking about it an hour after consuming it. The ambiance of the seating area is open, warm, and full of light with easy viewing of the kitchen grill - my favourite spot in any restaurant. Service: super friendly and polite staff. Order at the cashier and they will bring the food over. Ambiance: it's a small shop but with a good amount of tables. Very casual setting and good for hangouts!
Our team got catering from here. The food was delicious, and honestly a welcome change from the usual stuff our team orders. We had the chicken shish kebab, falafel, greek salad, rice, hummus and pita bread, and what I presume is a grilled veggie platter. All the flavors were good, and I especially loved how even the white rice was flavored too. The chicken was slightly dry, but there was plenty of hummus and tzatziki to top it with. A good variety of food to satisfy different diets, and definitely a good go-to if you're ordering catering.
my FAVORITE mediterranean place in the south bay. it's a very cute mom and pop restaurant with delicious food. my favorite is the lahmacun and the adana kabob plate. my bf isnt really a lamb person but he LOVES their lamb and their hummus as well. i also love their turkish tea and baklava, it's the perfect finish to a meal. they also have these wet wipes they give you at the end which is so kind of them. the owner and his team are very sweet and friendly as well. i love dining and order take out from them! highly recommend.

Yum! I'm already looking forward to my next visit! This cozy little restaurant sits on the corner of Kiely and Homestead Road. The food comes out quickly, served sizzling hot and fresh. There's also a convenient self-serve station at the front counter where you can grab utensils and cups of water. I ordered the chicken gyro plate, and it was a generous portion at a great price. Ate here last week and we ordered lamb shish and a lamb/chicken shish plates. We loved the food - pita was lackluster and seemed not fresh, but the rice was amazing and the pickled produce on the salad was a great tomato substitute. I loved the bottled coconut water aloe drink they offered. Plates were just a couple dollars more than the gyro meat plates so it was an easy decision for the shish. Service by the owner was terse - perhaps feeling the pressure of the large order he may have been in the middle of making. He was expedient and our food came out fairly quickly as well as a large order just after ours. Restaurant has no sun shade but the awning was enough to not be blinded. The a/c was good, too, on a day in the 90s. The kitchen seemed very clean from what little I could see. However, the man did handle the register, payments, and food without a change in hygiene. The chairs all had splatter of drinks and the floor wasn't clean. The restroom was okay but to cover the open drain, they used a urine target in the sink. Even if a fresh urine target, that combined with the dirty chairs and floors and sticky tables left a bad impression. If they could keep the dining area and floors clean and install a drain stopper, and stay on top of it, and wash hands between handling the payments and cooking, that would be great. Though I feel we all are the way we are and I don't feel this would likely improve and stay consistent. It sucks because the food tasted great and a $21.95 plate filled us up very well and we were hungry. read more

Turkish Delight Formerly located at the Bowers Plaza on El Camino, Garlic Mediterranean has been serving up Turkish food since 2016. They've been in these current digs for ±2 years and are one of the few restaurants serving up legit Turkish cuisine in the South Bay. The Good: *Friendly service *Fast-casual order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. *In the same strip mall as Stan's Donuts (IYKYK) *Large shared parking lot *Clean, modern décor and I'm a fan of their branding. *Pricing is well in-line with portion size *They actually have their meat on a vertical rotisserie (aka spit) which doesn't seem like much, but to me this is an important sign, to me at least. *Saw reviews mentioning the Ayran (aka "yoghurt drink") and I decided to give it a whirl. It's only three ingredients: yogurt, water, and salt, but the taste was actually quite refreshing. *Carissa enjoyed her Greek salad with added chicken Gyro meat, and actually had a hard time finishing it. Luckily I'm always around to clean her plate. *oink oink* :8) *I'd never seen or heard of an Iskender Kebab before, but after the lady at the counter informed me of what it was, I knew I had to try it. It's their combo lamb-beef dönner meat served over pita and topped with a tomato sauce and served with a heaping helping of yogurt. This dish was stupendous! The meat was juicy and flavorful and the tomato sauce was earthy and sweet, the perfect foil for the unctuos meat. But, I'll have to say, my favorite part was the yogurt that brought everything together into one harmonious bite. The Meh: *Standard two-top outdoor seating. Nothing really special but it gets the job done. The Ugly: *This is huge pet peeve of mine, but I really don't like when they put olives with pits in them in salads. #1 it makes no sense and #2 they're opening themselves up to a customer busting their teeth biting into one. Ask me how I know it's possible. 0_o Conclusion: Fantastic Turkish food at a great price point in a pleasant and relaxing environment. read more

I wouldn't come back again :( The portions are small (the wrap is $15 and the plate is $20+, but neither got us full). Lacking the usual flavor, herbs, & spices that other Mediterranean restaurants in the area have. The chicken skewers didn't taste like anything and there was barely any sauce in the wrap. New favorite spots to eat! I came in for my late lunch to get the chicken gyro plate. There were two or three workers on a Monday night, working their butts off to get everyone's order out in a timely fashion. I knew this place was good when I saw how busy they were. It wasn't long before my Togo order was brought out by the beautiful waitress. The restaurant looked clean and welcoming, not a huge space but big enough maybe able to accommodate 20-30ish people. The service was good. The food was excellent. The meat and rice were packed separately from the bread to prevent soaking I assume. The hummus was amazing! Served with a yogurt and spice sauce. The salad was good too. Total was with tip! Can't wait to be back with coworkers read more

I went in with my wife on a Tuesday, and was impressed to see so many diners on what is typically a slow day for restaurants. The owner was at the register, and he was really personable and nice. He went out of his way to explain which dishes were most special and why. He also recommended we mix the yogurt drink with the turnip juice, which was excellent. All the food was made using fresh ingredients, and tasted great. The restaurant is clean, and the menu is simple and well thought out. We will definitely be back in the future. read more

I usually get combo gyro or salmon plates and they are very delicious! I recommend this place read more
First time trying lahmacun, (Turkish, Lebanese, Armenian:very debated apparently version of a pizza.) Normally not a fan of bell peppers, but it was diced or minced into such small pieces the texture was not bothersome for me. But, man was it delicious, it is not too overwhelming but the addition of the lettuce and lemon help really the balance of the taste. The breading is crisp and has a nice cracker like crunch to it. The falafels were also very tasty, I like the sauce that they gave with the falafel, I believe it was yogrut and garlic based but also very tasty it goes well with the freshly cooked and crunchy exterior of the falafel with the nice hot filling inside. The wrap was good, solid. But I definitely recommend you come and try this place, it is good. read more
