I knew this place was the real deal when I saw founder's porter on the shelf. This is the perfect example of a friendly, family owned neighborhood business. Owned and operated by two brothers, the types of guys you'd feel inclined to invite over for dinner with the family without hesitation. They always take an interest in whatever product it is that you are looking for, and if it isn't in their store, they will try to order it for you. Small shops like this are what makes a neighborhood great, and something that should be cherished. I walk 6 blocks to get to Falcon even though there are at least three other stores closer to me. Good selection of beers but what makes this spot unique is their selection of sours. Most liquor stores don't even carry sour beers. There's parking in the rear so it's really easy to get in and out. read more

This is my favorite liquor store. They carry all the essentials: great beer, great wines, good snacks (including my hard to find faves) ice cream and added bonus they make keys! Falcon Liquor is awesome because they always have the 12-pack of Sessions for $9.99. Besides that, the guys in there are always friendly - I once saw them help a guy break up and repackage his twelve-pack so he could sneak it into his hotel. That's good service! By far the best liquor store in the area. Unlike nearby Fiori's, the folks working there (only a few; it us family run) are always friendly and helpful. There are always great specials on top-shelf liquors and they carry a wide variety of brands. Additionally, Falcon Liquor has a great assortment of sodas, snack foods, and cold beer. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Falcon Liquor is in the same price range as the mega-supermarkets in the area and have a far better selection on top-shelf liquor. I was looking for rye whiskey and found at least a half-dozen different brands, including Sazerac which is hard to find. They have many single-barrel bourbons, including Blanton's. I'll be shopping here as my main liquor store from now on. read more
