Feeling good at the Falcon North. This all inclusive divey queer meets gear bar is hosting some of the coolest and newest events including Power a EDM Dark techno Kink & Gear friendly night, Kub Kamp (bear centric night), Primal (pup enthusiast), vinyl/disco nights, cigar socials, karaoke nights, killer happy hours and so many other happenings from their upcoming Tainted Love Shack aka 80's dance party night to their weekly Sunday Funday beer bust. I haven't set foot in this building since it was the Eagle 562 aka Eagle Long Beach and Pistons before that. It's nice to see it finding it's full life as the sibling bar to The Falcon, infamous video bar with a full assortment of nightly events including Gaymer and movie nights. Being the first day of the week they open it was nice to see a good group of guys gathered for their Cigar Social via the SoCal Embers Brotherhood club, every last Thursday of the month. Also great to see a big crowd come in for karaoke at 9pm, a group of awesome dodgeballers + their usual suspects. They have a nice pool table, limited but spacious seating, great bar and bartenders, a vending machine full of various snacks and the patio is even more spacious and open that the inside. Drinks were reasonable, but as they use disposable plastic cups and portions can be a touch small with more than plenty of ice. I made sure to hang onto my cup to reduce reuse recycle. Parking is street and alley way and you can usually get something close if you arrive early as mentioned by others, but might have a bit of a journey if you arrive later, which I do remember being a big issue during pride time and other major weekends in their past lives as Eagle and Pistons. Restrooms are easy and clean. The bar itself is well kept and the patio area has a lot of rustic charm that keeps it divey enough. Music, DJs and KJs are all great. Card or cash is accepted for both the bar and vending machine. Open four nights a week, Thursday through Sunday. Highly recommend checking out their Instagram and/or Facebook, though their website does have a lot of the current upcoming event where you can see events for Falcon North as well as The Falcon. Falcon North is really a great time. Some nights more than others, but I think this is more like a hidden gem. There is a huge dance floor when you first walk and a DJ that is typically out there on the weekends. The KJ is awesome and funny. Karaoke is always a great time! The bartenders are always so nice and sexy!!! I like the shows they put on. A good time, would recommend! read more

The only other time I've been to this location was when it was still Eagle 562 and that was before the pandemic. I was here over the weekend for Cochondo which is a Latin leather and gear themed night. I really enjoyed the music, crowd, gogo's and the drinks. I definitely recommend checking this event out. Street parking isn't too hard, but the later you arrive the further down the street you have to park. It's easy to forget if you've closed your tab because the bar doesn't keep your card... which is great so you don't leave your card at the bar, BUT if you do forget to close your tab, the bar will charge you 20% to your card at the end of the night, which is pretty steep. Falcon North - a sign on the door of a bar - Gay Bars Near Me - Long Beach, California

The Falcon North has had several iterations in its storied history of being a gay bar. I've been wanting to make it a point to support different bars outside of the normal ones I frequent along the Broadway corridor, close to where I live. However this bar needs help. On occasion, I have been to events when the bar is busy and crowded but more often than not, the bar is pretty dead. The last time I went was for a Friday night bear "event" and there were only around five other people there. I wouldn't have minded if there wasn't a cover to get in. I don't like paying covers but if I do end up paying one, it has to be justified. I really hope the bar finds its way through promoting more fun events because it really is important for me to support LGBTQ+ businesses and I'm willing to drive from the opposite end of Long Beach to North Long Beach but you it has to be worth my time and money. read more

I don't know how this bar stays open in the near future. Things are absolutely dire. Charging cover when there's like 3 people inside is ridiculous. They should've stuck with the eagle 562 theme as this new twink theme is sad and played out. Like twinks would ever visit this dangerous af area anyways. My dream is for someone to buy the bar and revert it back to Pistons but I bet it is bulldozed in the next year or so and converted into fast food or parking for the warehouse next door. read more

We were asked to leave because of an employee didn't like the fact his ex was there . Letting someone's personal relationship dictate your business policy is very unprofessional. I won't bother spending another dime in a business that I have frequented for over 20 years under different ownerships. Very disappointing, lack of professionalism all the way around . Especially for the reasons we were asked, Petty and immature, I will encourage anyone who asks to go to the Crest, Mineshaft, Silver Fox Maybe they can separate business and personal life. read more

Visited this establishment recently, but the place was empty. Everyone behind the bar was terrible. Drink portions are mediocre for the high price. Unfriendly bartenders and bar-backs, but security was actually professional. The place looks new but bathrooms are falling apart. The entrance is hidden, I don't see the point for that. Not even a decent experience. Too bad this place used to be good. read more
