I haven't had Applebees in ages but I had a gift card so my husband and I decided to have lunch. It wasn't busy we were seared immediately. The server was nice but looked very flustered and overwhelmed. After some time my husband asked her is she was alright and if she was ok. She did mention their system was down and it was taking time to boot back up. We started off with the chicken wonton tacos the wonton was crispy and good but the chicken tasted ok but the texture felt strange to me. My husband liked them. He ordered a steak and mashed potatoes and I ordered the cheeseburger quesadilla with French fries. Side note: He said the beer was so good and so cold. The main dishes were good but the sides needed help. They weren't good, the fries were not crispy or hot and his mashed potatoes he said were just gross. On 7/11/26 I was craving appetizers and decided to visit Applebees at the Lakewood Center. Since my husband and I couldn't make up our minds, we decided to indulge in their "Ultimate Trio Platter". We chose 3 appetizers from a mouthwatering list of 10 and paired them with 3 tasty dipping sauces. We were not disappointed. There are a lot of delicious appetizer choices available. My husband and I wanted to try the ayce $15.99 deal that they have going on right now for a limited time. This includes the boneless wings, fries, riblets, and shrimp. For the wings and riblets there are various flavors/sauces to choose from. Along with it comes a side of cole slaw and your dipping sauces like ranch or blue cheese. Just keep in mind, the first serving is the full size, while the following refills will be a smaller portion. Regardless, we left feeling very full. This is my place to eat if you're looking to watch a game at a bar and don't wanna wait, every time I come to this location I always get seat at the bar. It's always kinda empty and you can't beat the prices they have really good deals and pretty food and I always get great service at the bar section, today I tried the O-M-cheeseburger and it was actually pretty good . Zero stars if I had the option lol. My visit today was disappointing. Service was very slow even though our server appeared to have only two tables. It took a long time to get my second drink, kept having to wave this airhead down for certain things and took her sweet ass time to respond to our requests. My husband's drink was never refilled, and after we finished eating, we waited about 20 minutes just to receive our check. The overall interaction felt unfriendly, and the lack of attentiveness made what should have been a quick meal take much longer than it should have. I hope the restaurant improves its customer service and attentiveness. Jackelyn is a terrible waitress and clearly has half a brain cell. Don't come to this location! read more

Haven't been to an Applebee's in several years...my GF took me to this location for my birthday. The Buffalo chicken bites were good, decent blue cheese dressing. I ordered the Steak (think a top sirloin) with a baked potato. Meat was very tough even though cooked medium (sure sign of using frozen meat) and potato was obviously microwaved, and poorly. Server was nice...they aren't responsible for food quality, so still tipped adequately. I see why the have 2star rating. Won't be back. read more

Came to Lakewood Applebees for an easy date night, especially to try the Grilled Cheese Burger. When walking in, no one was at the front to greet us but saw the plenty of employees hanging around talking to each other instead. My husband ordered the Grilled cheese burger, it was alright but nothing exciting. I ordered the Mushroom and Swiss Burger, the picture looked delicious, it wasn't. There was little to no flavor at all and a huge disappointment. We then watched as all the servers were standing the back and watched the manager braiding a servers hair while walking around. They then congregated at a table and we super loud and cursing up a storm. I would have left a one star review, but our server Chris was the only positive in this bleak experience. Soooo we frequent this Applebees, enjoy sitting at the bar to catch a game. However, this trip, there's a bunch of dirty dishes on the bar top. The bar tender is a bit reactive instead of proactive, my service industry pet peeve, we had to ask for utensils after our meal was served, plus napkins, salt, pepper, ketchup. Anytime we needed something, we had to get her attention. Hubby's French fries look like the bottom of the barrel. Just not very impressed this round. Not that it's a place to be impressed, so I'll say this visit, while we only expected the usual casual ambience and good enough service, tonight was straight wack. Taste, service, cleanliness, all of it was just wamp wamp wamp. We'll keep coming. From time to time to Catch a game and have a decent happy hour drink, but tonight can't be forgotten. What a great experience dining here at Applebee's Restaurant. With little Lya request for her after Grads Dinner, great pick. Before coming here, I already assumed there would be a waiting list to be seated and, of course, which wasn't a problem. The wait was approx 15min, which wasn't that bad. Chris was our server throughout the dining experience. Great customer service and hospitality were given. Thank you. Classic Broccoli Chicken Alfredo 5/5 Juicy grilled chicken is served warm on a bed of fettuccine pasta tossed with broccol and rich Alfredo sauce topped with Parmesan cheese. Served with a golden brown signature breadstick. 3. Double-Glazed Baby Back Ribs 4/5 Full rack of ribs slow-cooked to fall-off-the-bone tenderness. Came here on a Saturday night for dinner. I got the Bourbon street chicken and shrimp, came with mashed potato it was yummy. My fiancé ordered the chicken parmigiana and it was a miss, chicken was hard like it had been sitting under the heat lamp all day, the garlic bread was hard and chewy like leftover next day bread. I decided to take my grandparents out for a late dinner , around 9pm . I sent my grandfather the menu and looked forward to this all day. We received a cold appetizer of wings , and our burgers came out with a trash presentation less than a handful of fries and barely warmed burgers . (THIS is the least of our worries) . My grandfather received his plate of ribs , slightly warm . He wanted to order a second plate , and everyone kept ignoring us. 20 minutes go by , we finally were able to make an order . My grandfather made a comment stating about the waitress " why is she surprised I'm ordering a second plate on an all you can eat menu" . They proceeded to tell us the manager will be out to talk to you about the order. 30 minutes went by without any sight of management or a 2nd plate . He felt as if he was getting shamed for even wanting a second order on an already small plate . The service was horrible and honestly degrading. No one should feel ashamed to order food at a restaurant and at that , ignored for more than half of a hour . Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied , and honestly distraught. The food is consistent, the wait staff are mostly attentive and the restaurant is kept clean. However the last couple times I have gone with my family we noticed that multiple TVs were showing not the usual sports or infomercials but they were tuned to the Scientology Network. I'll be honest, didn't even realize that was a thing until we saw it there. And the imagery is unkind at best. I'm a big believer in not yucking people's yums, if someone believes hey, more power to 'em. I'm not sure if Applebee's aligns with Scientology but damn, the programing was aggressive and it's making me not want to go back. Sorely disappointed as we've been going there for years. read more

Had lunch today for the first time in years. Place was clean and we were seated quickly. Waiter, Adam was great! Looks like the menu has been revamped. Lots of selection and great pics of all the dishes. Prices were good and they had a few specials. Also, they have 1/2 price appetizers from 3-6pm and after 9pm. Will be back for that. I ordered the burger special, which included the burgers, fries, and a soft drink for $9.99. Excellent value and the burger was cooked perfect. We had a really disappointing experience at the Applebee's in Lakewood. When we arrived, we wanted to sit at the bar where there were two empty seats. The bartender, Andria, immediately told us we were not allowed to sit there because there was possibly someone sitting there already. I understand that seats can sometimes be held, but her approach was rude and dismissive. A simple "Let me check if the tab is closed" or "Let me find out for you" would have gone a long way, but instead we were shut down without any effort to help. We waited at the front of the restaurant for about 10 minutes, and during that time no one ever came back to those seats. We then asked the manager, Brittany, if we could sit there since they were still empty and explained what Andria had told us. Unfortunately, Brittany was also rude and dismissive. She said that if we sat there and someone came back, they would have to remake their drinks because we "took over their seats," which made no sense given that no one had returned. I also mentioned that because of this delay, we were now going to miss happy hour, and her response was basically "yeah," with no apology, no accommodation, and no concern for the situation. Overall, the lack of customer service, poor communication, and dismissive attitudes from both the bartender and the manager completely ruined the experience. This could have been handled so much better with a little professionalism and courtesy. read more

I came to this location with my mother on Thursday evening the 26th of June for evening rations. I had the all you can eat riblets plus french fries and coleslaw. Fries were decent enough and coleslaw was satisfactory. Riblets were too much trouble with the bones. I ordered chicken tenders for seconds and I think there was too much batter for the amount of meat. Washroom was clean and had paper towels available... good. It took a long time for the bill to arrive. After I paid there was another undue delay to get the paper receipt. I am dinging this establishment a point for the quality of the riblets and chicken tenders. I am dinging this establishment two points for issues with payment: one point for long wait in getting the bill and one point for undue wait in getting the receipt. If I was to assign a letter grade like is done in school this establishment would pass with a D. read more

It has been years since I been to Applebees. We put our name on the list, waited about 15 min. The workers greeting us & were polite. It seemed quite clean. They was drink specials but no happy hour on a Sunday. They were good 2 for 1 specials on a few meals. We got Artichoke dip, Mozzarella sticks and Pretzels with Beer Cheese dip: we enjoyed them all. My boyfriend's hamburger was on the dry side. Me and my daughter shared chicken fettuccine. Our chicken was pretty dry. Other than that, we will come back again to try other plates. read more

My husband even had to remind the host that we were still waiting, even though we were told it would only be about a 10-minute wait. Once we were finally seated, things didn't improve -- we waited another 15 minutes and still hadn't seen a server. Meanwhile, we noticed other tables being seated *after* us and getting greeted within just a couple of minutes. A party across from us got service almost immediately. Super Friendly staff and excellent customer service. Was looking for baby back ribs and I would say the ribs here are average. However, I did try the Prime Rib Dipper sandwich and it was delicious. The meat is slices extremely thin. It's a little salty side but the meat was tender and plentiful compared to other prime rib sandwich of other food chains. Parking is awesome as they have a dedicated parking lot. There happy hour drinks are a great price! The appetizer menu is similar to typical bar food menu, I wish they had a bigger variety/ selection of appetizers like lettuce wraps, Brussel sprouts, etc. read more

I will start off by saying this: you don't go to Applebee's for the food.... It is not good. (With the exception of the pub pretzels and cheese bites from the appetizer menu. Seems kind of hard to mess those up though). We HAVE gotten food/meals there a handful of times and...it's just not great. :-/ What gets my friend in there though are the "Monthly Sips". As you can see by my photos we've been quite a few times for those delicious bad boys! They were always $5 for the longest time... then went up to $6 and then to $7 (we weren't happy about that one). It's back down to $6 which is tolerable. ;-) There are several other tasty looking cocktails on the menu that we keep saying we need to try but never do. Maybe one day... read more

This would be a 1 star if it wasn't for the bartender Bartender is the lost lovely woman, and let me know that she has to get the manager because my ID is bent in 2 places. Manager proceeds to tell me about how if any of her employees accepts my ID she will fire them on the spot, and goes on a long spill to say once my ID is cracked (it isn't) she cant accept it. For one, to threaten me with the livelihoods of her employees was horrible, and she was very condescending. After our mood had soured she took notice and continued to egg us on asking "have we been drinking tonight" which was incredibly odd, and starts bothering my friend who has at this point said absolutely nothing if "we're good". The bartender was incredibly sweet to me and recommended several great options since it was happy hour. Everything was so delicious!
