I'm not sure I'll come back here out of fear for my safety. Came in one night to play pool. Decided to stay longer because they had UFC, Dodgers and FIFA on. I was sitting down and these two guys was talking to the bartender side boob lady. The guys were obviously overly drunk and off something. One of the guys bumps into me on his way outside, no excuse me. They both come back in and the next thing I know one of the guys says F*** N****** and keeps saying it. They get kicked out but side boob bartender lady goes outside and gets socked in the face. Smh. She didn't even want to call the cops. I left. I saw them returning. You need security and to care about the safety of your patrons. What a shame because I really liked coming here but I ain't trying to be around no racists drunks. read more

Some shifts are good, other shifts are an exercise in patience. It's always cold from the air conditioners, and loud from the jukebox. Know this beforehand, and wear your winter clothing inside. Earplugs; those help as well as the childish screaming and yelling that goes on, and an always blasting jukebox that is turned up way too high. Other than that, it's a great dive bar to go to. I stopped by recently with my mom for karaoke night and I definitely had a blast! I've always been curious about the Red Dog as I live nearby and have never previously been. Their karaoke night passed the vibe check as just about everyone in the bar were singing their hearts out lol. This place is now Moe's Red Dog Saloon. The new owner Moe is a beloved long time local bartender. She took over this establishment a couple years ago and has really given this place a facelift and an ambiance that can only be attributed to someone that loves serving the local community. Bar is clean and lively with jukebox music blasting and pretty bartenders that are friendly and entertaining. Moe still works a couple days during day shifts and she always has a welcoming smile on her face, a dash of craziness and the winning personality that makes you want to plop your ass on a bar stool and stay for a few hours. Never met a more rude bartender. I live around the corner and me & my bf and some friends decided to stop by. But as we were ordering drinks, She took a 20bill from my Bf but never made the drink, then when my bf told her she hasnt made the drink yet she denied getting the 20bill, mind you my bf was not being loud and yelling he jst told her he handed her the cash but didnt get the drink, then she went bellistic and yelling for everyone to hear and then told us to get out. And as we were walking out, she started saying all these profanity words and called me and my friend the B word, when we did nothing to her! seriously dont even know why shes working a service job when she completely sucks at it. I am an Air Veteran. My friend and I walked into the Red Dog and Sat at the bar. Immediately the owner accused my friend of being drunk because his eyes were red. It was 2pm, we had not taken a drink. She would not serve us and asked us to leave. I told her that we had been there many times. She said she very saw us before. I told her I was there Sun, playing pool and dancing till one in the morning. I supported the Red Dog for many years. The owner Moe made such a bad decision. I still don't understand why she did that. Was it racist? I don't know. I love my country and I respect everyone. The owner needs to respect everyone who walks through the door. Over twenty years of frequenting the Red Dog, I had never a problem with any bartender. I talked to some of my friends. They said maybe she was talking something to cloud her mind. Usually I have a great service when I come to this bar. It's a cool local bar and always filled with regulars and people around the neighborhood. This bartender named Malek is always giving attitude and tonight was the last straw. I gave her 3 chances and tonight she made it clear she doesn't treat everyone the same. I asked her for Don julio blanco shots, and I thought she understood... but started pouring hornitos. I corrected her, and she made a face and said a remark. She continued to be rude and when I had asked her for my card since I gave her the wrong card. She threw it back. I'm also a local bartender and been here many times. I understand the service industry. But her behavior is UNACCEPTABLE. Even though she had a nasty attitude I still tipped go figure. But NEVER again am I coming on her shift. read more

Went on a Saturday night with some friends, never been there before, but I live down the street so I thought I would check it out. Long story short the bartenders were rude, we went to get some drinks from the bar while playing pool (clearly wasn't done with the game) whoever the older woman is with the red hair put everything away. Now I get if she would've gave some kind of warning that if we leave the pool table she'll put everything away, or simply just asked us if we were done playing. She didn't do either one of those. Not to mention on last call for drinks, she had a snobby attitude and made a snarky comment about us ordering more drinks on last call. For a hole in the wall and a neighborhood bar it's a great place to relax and have a beer. No food but there's a pizza place and weinerschnitezl near by. People are friendly and good company. The Red Dog, as us locals know, use to be called the Beaver Pond years ago. So I want into there after a 4 year absence, it had new management and it looked pretty cool. I first encountered Dora, a beautiful bartender who was very nice and I bumped into a lot of locals that I grew up with and it was a quazi-family reunion. It was nice seeing old friends and enemies there especial Bronco who is a St Anthony High School football legend.(Go Saints) well I went back home to Bixby Knolls and the crowd seem to be younger than earlier. I had a great time, ok too good of a time but I got so drunk that I forgot to close out my tab( I just walked home with my blonde female friend) The next morning I returned to pay my 120 dollar tab and here is when things got weird...With all the money in had, the bartender Dora refused to take my money.
