Went back in today to use up my Kohl's cash…read more I was in line and the associate in charge of queue told an associate who going to get in line, that she can go ahead of the queue because she's an employee. I stood there thinking, I never heard of such a thing. Especially when the queue was getting longer. The other cashier was busy and waiting for her customer to do her own price check. Another cashier came over to help. Debi, who's the cashier that convinced me to sign up. She's always nice. I did call the store to speak to the MOD. Placed on hold for five minutes that the phone was picked again by an associate named Rosie. She couldn't understand why no one picked up. I stayed on the line for a bit. Then hung up. I tried to do the survey but the website wasn't downloading. Just wanted to give Debi a good review. I ended virtual chatting with customer support. It was confirmed it's not Kohl's policy for an associate to go ahead of the queue. And I can say this associate was very comfortable saying it was policy. I will continue to go Kohl's. Hopefully it won't happen again.

From embroidered rugs to decorative accents, kiddie stuff to kitchen gadgets, small furniture to diningware, holiday decor to unique gifts for everyone, this multi-room Americana collection is a primitives dream. The displays are well thought out, and no inch is left undecorated. The friendly decorator told us, "If there's a space, I put something in it!" :) One of the best-executed arrangements of decor in this grandma's-house shop style, that this Yelper has ever seen. The quirkier the building, the more the creativity in displays. We make pilgrimages to such places all over New England, and you will absolutely want to hit this place up if you feel the same. Buy all the things, put them in your big trunk, but make room for more things from Calef's General Store next door (see separate review). This was a terrific discovery. Always happy to find a gift shop/food combo, and this awesome collection of historic buildings housing unique country decor and general store, make Elfmade/Calef's a powerhouse combo. The pre-game for Lowe's was very good…read more The sales consultant worked well with my wife and me on choosing produce and discussing options we hadn't considered. Execution was a different story altogether. The coordination by the Lowe's project office and subcontractors was horrendous. They delivered windows without the requested grids, patio doors WITHOUT THE GLASS, they didn't give the contractor enough nails for the siding, then complained to us that HE was the problem. Punch list? It's been 3 years and we still have items they said they'd "come back for" and never did. Broken tension springs on brand new Pella windows, so they never stay up, lack of weatherstripping around storm doors. And the siding trim puckers and rolls of the temp gets above 80 degrees. No. We don't recommend Lowe's. Get a relationship with a good local contractor that doesn't sub it all out. You might spend a bit more money. But You'll be much happier.

We bought a couch, love seat, recliner and a mattress/box spring set, a full month before moving in to our new house thinking it would be delivered on time, it was not, we spent 4 days in lawn chairs after moving into our new house because shipping to the store was delayed and then it was a holiday so they wouldn't deliver to our house, even though the store was open. Fast forward to now, 17 months after purchase, the couch is absolutely falling apart, the fabric is coming apart and looks like absolute trash. The cushions are sunk in and uncomfortable. We do not have children, our pets are not rough and we only use the couch for usual sitting and napping, nothing crazy that would cause such distress to the fabric so early on in ownership.

There are so many cool, quirky, vintage items scattered throughout the store. And the space is so large and full of rooms that house cool items. It's definitely not a place that you could finish scouring in one hour... but definitely a place you probably have to come back to to find something new each time! I particularly liked being able to shop in peace. I didn't feel like workers were eye-ing me the entire time, and I was able to just enjoy looking through each of the items. I got a cool pair of airplane earrings for $1, while my friend bought a cute, electronic dancing boxing hamster for $4. There is definitely something within a reasonable price range for everybody.

We ordered some bathroom fixtures and a sink from this place. The sink had to be ordered and was supposed to be delivered to our house. A week went by and we still hadn't heard so I called the store. They said they had it in the back ready for us to pickup, otherwise we would have to wait until Monday to have it delivered. We wanted to have the weekend to install it so we said that my husband would come and pick it up. He drove 40 minutes to the store only to find out that it had been put on the truck. When I called to ask about when it would be delivered and if they could do anything to help make up for the mishap, the guy on the phone didn't apologize. He offered the drivers name and number, but said they wouldn't do anything more than that. He was rude and tried to place part of the blame on us for the "miscommunication". What really bothers me is that he didn't even apologize. We will never go back or recommend this place.
