I wasn't…read moregiven a written guarantee so I didn't know how long it was for, but I assumed it was for about 10 years. The original awning was installed in May of 2018. I had the company come out 2 1/2 yrs ago and I showed them that one of the seams was coming loose. They gave me an estimate for around $200 to fix the seam. At that time the guy didn't mention that the warranty might still be in force. In April 2026 I had the guys out again because now both seams were coming apart. He said that the warranty was now expired, and then he said that if I had called them a couple of years ago to check it, the warranty might still have been in force and they would have repaired or replaced the fabric. So they gave me a price of $1,480 to replace the fabric, which I had to do. It seems like the fabric is much lighter than the original awning, though. I just feel like the installer was just BS'ing me about the warranty and how long it was for. I feel like I got whatever story worked for them at the time so that they could make more money off of me. And on top of that, they apparently didn't lubricate the joints and it is now squeaking when I put the awning up or down. I originally went to Country Club Awnings because I was familiar with the company from a house I was renting before I bought this house. I didn't get estimates from any other company, which I wish I had done. I probably paid more for the awning than I had to. The bottom line is that I'm not happy with how things went, and I told that to the girl in the office. When I hung up from talking to her, she called her guy while he was still here and I think she told him to say whatever he had to say to smooth things over. I finally just gave up, and decided to let anyone who is contemplating buying from Country Club, to make sure to get estimates from other companies and to get a written guarantee.

I'm writing this after giving Mario multiple chances over several projects. We've hired him two…read moretimes for three patios now -- and every single job has had the same pattern: great communication at the start, quick to collect payment, and then a slow and frustrating decline in responsiveness and reliability. First and Second Patios (2023-2024) Mario initially quoted well and seemed easy to work with. But both projects ran behind schedule. He measured wrong on the first patio cover, used visible conduit without asking, and talked us out of gutters that later caused drainage issues. On the second patio, even after giving him a two-month lead time before a big event at our house, the job was only half finished when guests arrived. He did eventually complete them, but only after multiple calls, texts, and follow-ups. Third Patio (2025) This one has been a nightmare. We paid him a deposit in early June 2025 for what was supposed to be a simple project. From there, it was endless chasing -- days, then weeks, of messages like "tomorrow," "let you know soon," and "2 or 3 days." He stopped taking calls, ignored texts, and pushed the project off repeatedly. When he finally resurfaced, he said he couldn't get the material and the price had suddenly doubled from $4,000 to $8,000 without explanation. When we refused and asked for a refund, he promised to return the deposit in 30 business days -- that deadline passed long ago. Still no refund, only excuses about being "stuck with material" or "waiting on the company." Mario is personable and friendly at first, but once he has your money, everything slows down. His pricing looks attractive, but the delays, errors, and lack of accountability make it costly in the end. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt -- three times -- but after this last experience, I can't recommend MG Awning Services to anyone. I know people reading this will ask then why did you go back to him and as I stated, we wanted to give him a chance and he was very convincing that the issues wouldn't repeat themselves. My goal was to get him to come in and also correct the issues w/ the existing patios that we have noticed but nothing. His address here says San Jacinto but his invoices states that he is in Stanton California. Mario, if you're reading this -- please do the right thing and return our payment.

This process has taken 8 months and we still only have 1 out of 3 patio covers completed. Mario will not answer text message or phone calls for weeks and then will contact us stating that the patio covers are still not available from the manufacturer and even asked us for an additional $2300 from the original contract agreement stating "he under bid the project" we now have had to hire someone else to finish our patios. The folks at…read moreDropshades--Darren, Cole, Asigh and, our installer, Tim--are an incredible team to work with. We live in the northern end of Cathedral City which can be very windy. We wanted a sturdy product that would hold up to our ever-changing weather patterns here in the Valley. Our existing aluminum shade structure has a slanted roof. In order to accommodate Dropshades, we had our landscape contractor add a new support post & cross beam. When your first meet with a Dropshades representative for an estimate, he will evaluate if your patio structure is level enough to accommodate the shades. The shades "glide" up and down a track when they are being opened or retracted. Be aware that windy conditions above 10 MPH can affect the operation of the shades. We always check that the shades stay in the tracks as they are retracted so that the fabric does not fold in on itself. Never leave the shades down overnight or in high winds. Dropshades include a remote control as viewed in the video. I also paid for an internet hub which lets me operate the shades via a smart phone app. We never considered using any other company than Dropshades. Our contractor highly recommended them. This is not a project that you will want to "cut corners" on. Go with the best, hire Dropshades!

I called the office and was told they were down by 2 men and they don't know when they will be able to help me. I was then told they have people who have been waiting for weeks for help with their shades. They could have called me in the morning and let me know they weren't going to make it and I would have rescheduled. I feel horrible for having to move the nest; I have moved it back and hopefully the mommy bird will come back soon. Very upsetting. Bad business. I have moved on to another company that has assured me they will show up and help me out.
