I had an exceptional experience at this salon. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, clean, and welcoming. My stylist was incredibly attentive, taking the time to understand exactly what I wanted and offering thoughtful recommendations based on my hair type and lifestyle. The service was professional and efficient, and the results were even better than I expected. My haircut/color/style (adjust as needed) turned out beautifully--precise, flattering, and easy to maintain. I also appreciated the stylist's expertise and the care they put into ensuring my hair stayed healthy throughout the process. The entire team was friendly, the products used were high-quality, and the overall experience felt relaxing and enjoyable. I left feeling refreshed and confident. I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for excellent service and top-tier results. I'll definitely be returning! read more

I've been going to Family cuts for a number of years now. It's difficult to find a place that listens to what you want and do it correctly. This place has always listened and has really great cuts. I would recommend. read more

My father and I have been coming to this shop for almost 20 years now. While we both get some fairly basic cuts, they always look great. From what I can tell of the other customers that they service, they have a wide array of services. I come from San Francisco just to get their services, so hopefully that tells you something about'em read more

For a fast no nonsense hair cut. When you want to avoid all the fuss go here. Prices are good.

I absolutely love this place, i go here everytime i want my hair dyed. The first time I went I got my full hair dyed red (bleach + color) and the second time i got it retouched without any bleach! they are super friendly and you go in and out really easily, i usually call or text ahead just so i know i have a time slot since it does take a while! but walk ins come in! but they do close early sometimes so keep an eye out for that! read more

They take walk ins but prefer that you call to schedule an appointment. Debit card/credit card payers accepted I think with a small service fee but if you pay in Cash it's a better deal. Straight to the point hair cuts done by some amazing ladies and a cutie doggo named Mr. mustache. Reminds me of my childhood haircut place so the vibes are retro and family feeling (hence the name). So far been coming here for haircuts and trims since moving to Hayward and so far service has been great. Oh sometimes there is a wait if you are a walk in. Would recommend for anyone who knows what they want. read more

Used to go to Linda's hair and Nail for more then 10 years. The lady there retired. Thought I would not find some that knows how I like my hair. But I found these sisters and it's so cool that they understood what I want and cut almost the same. Difference is they are way faster! Lol! Highly recommend for dope looking fades! read more

Love frequenting this family owned business. I've been coming here for over 15yrs and have yet to be disappointed. Nina cares for my daughter's and my hair whenever we need it. Thanks for always taking good care of us family cuts. read more

Wish I could give zero stars!! Came here for a perm. Asked for a loose spiral... So not what I got. Frizzy, Kinky, half straight, Damaged mess. My hair was so fried I ended up having to chop it off. My hair was to the middle of my back now it's super short. I literally cried... and it cost me 100 bucks plushy the charges I incurred from another stylist (my fantastic colorist at inspire salon) to fix it!!!! Do not let them touch your hair!!!!! Worst decision I have ever done for my hair. read more

I have been coming to family cuts since they opened Tang and Nina are great ladies they listen to your requests and do a great job cutting men's Hi and low fades and other cuts for men, as well as women Tang whom always does my perms and cuts I have long layers and she cuts them bringing the hair out and away from you to layer, I ALWAYS get my Flexi Rod perm done by Tang and I couldn't ask for anyone better to do it... it looks so natural the way the curls fall.. I get a tone of compliments and that's Thank you Tang for your generosity of offering me tea and crackers while I was there and for turn in a portable heater ... it was very cold and stormy that day... and I forgot to bring my boots with me to help me keep warm since I came from MoDesto California to get the flexi Rod perm done by Tang... and Soooo much worth it!! Here are some pictures Family cuts Tang I did my hair on a Wednesday at 2p. Perfect time. I really hate to do this because I love these ladies... but the last time I was here my hair cut was horrible. I asked for some layers a bit higher to give my hair more volume, which I was given BUT the bottom was thinned out way too much so it looked borderline mullet! These sisters are very sweet and they care about their clients, unfortunately that's not enough for me to return :( The prices are very cheap.. so I guess you get what you pay for. read more

Ehhh. That's really what I say to people about this place. I heard a lot of people I know go here, so I was willing to try it out. The women working were friendly enough and have decent prices, but the hair cut I receive was just "ehh." Like it was good enough that I didn't cry or immediately find another place to get another haircut, but I don't think I would ever go back for another. However good for dude hair. There were no weird bumps and pretty fast. read more

Took my son and daughter here. Was our first time and we were greeted immediately and told we'd be helped soon. We did not have an appointment and there was a man ahead of us. After about 10 minutes my daughter was taken to the chair. My daughter and I explained what she wanted and the lady understood and offered a suggestion of what might work a little bit better with her hair. We agreed. After completion my daughter was the happiest I think I have ever seen her! The hair cut was more than we could have hoped for! She looked amazing. Very similar with my son who is only 7. She was very gentle with him as she could tell he was a wee bit nervous. His hair also looked amazing! The cost was very fair and we will be coming here again! Great experience! read more

I've been coming here for YEARS, I always get the cut I want and the best part.....only $15.00! can't beat that. =]

Customer here for years, and always happy with Nina's work. Both are very kind women and very welcoming. The store has convenient prices, and Nina will take care of you and knows how to take direction. If you're a frequent customer, she'll remember your haircut even if it's been months. If you bring in a picture, Nina knows how to do it. And if your hair doesn't natural have the ability to be a certain way, she'll find a nice compromise! read more

The ladies here are very nice and welcoming here. I can always expect to come in and get a very nice haircut quick! I hate waiting long lines and where barbers take forever, and this place is the total opposite. I would recommend haircuts here and the prices are great! read more

for good haircut, hairstyling, make-up (simple or heavy), hair colour, facial, mani-pedi this is the place. the salon is clean and welcoming and tang and nina are the best. but take note: this is not a miracle place. if your hair or face is the kind that will need some miracle work then this is not the place! ( is there such a place?!) try them--- good service for good, affordable price. call for appointment as they get so busy most of the time but you may try to walk-in too. read more

This is my first time taking a hair cut from here and they exceeded my expectation, very friendly people! They do it fast!

The ladies here are great! I was so glad I gave Family Cuts a try after a referral from a good friend of mine. I was greeted upon arrival and only waited about 10 minutes without an appointment on my first visit. They tend to get some rushes but Nina is very quick and is usually able to get to each customer in a timely manner. Their prices are unbeatable and I always walk out of there knowing I paid a great price for awesome service and terrific hair! Very satisfied customer I am knowing I can always come back to a budget friendly place that meet all of my needs. read more

This is an excellent family run business that has been here for many years. The ladies are friendly and down to earth and they listen to how you want your hair cut. I like a quick, efficient hair cut so that I can get out the door. Of course, if you need your hair shampooed and styled - these ladies can do that too. A neighborhood could not ask for a better business. I give this place 6 stars!! read more

Nina is the worst! I went in with hair down to my waist and asked for just a trim with the front layered and she layered my whole head, and did a horrible job! Worst cut of my life. It wasn't even at all and extremely shaggy. Nice "trim" I went and got it fixed today by someone else and now have hair that is shoulder length. Don't go there if you want to keep your hair read more
