THIS PRACTICE IS DANGEROUS AND NEGLIGENT. NOT SAFE FOR PEOPLE WITH HEALTH CONDITIONS. Do not let them near your mouth, especially if you have any other health conditions or disabilities. They do not care if they put you in danger and they do not care what happens to you after surgery. It's actually insane. If you have any issues after your mouth has been operated on they will take ZERO responsibility--and that is the mark of a terrible practice. Shame on you Dr. Burke. I have a condition called Elhers Danlos Syndrome and because that was ignored by this facility....I have very preventable complications from surgery. SHE PUT A MEDICAL DEVICE IN MY MOUTH WITHOUT MY CONSENT THAT HURT ME SO MUCH! They sent me the wrong paperwork and never explained what would be happening with the surgery or that they would be inserting something called an "essix". Waking up from sedation to a device in your mouth that is causing you extreme pain and confusion is such a vulnerable and scary feeling. I had to piece together what happened with google in the middle of the night while puking and in extreme pain. That cannot be legal to not inform your patients correctly. Your patient should never feel that vulnerable or scared or confused. I have spent a week in uncontrolled pain and panic and I don't want this to happen to someone else. Dr. Burke is genuinely not safe for people with outlying conditions and she does not listen!!!! EDS is a connective tissue disorder and my gums do not react like a normal persons would. It is so important to treat the body as a whole.. and this practice does not care about that. It's complete false advertising. Now that I have major issues from HER negligence she is mad at me that I am pointing out what happened. In fact she just stopped responding and will not help me at all. You are a terrible human Dr. Carmen Burke. You can tell she's a narcissist just by the way she responds. It's so scary. This office is a complete mess and they can't even get basic paperwork right. The sent me the "wrong" paperwork so I wasn't informed properly before the surgery about some major elements of it. Pretty sure thats ILLEGAL. Then on the "correct" paper work they sent me AFTER my surgery---they sent prices that are six times more than what they actually charge? I got upset about that and they acted like I was an idiot. If your paperwork says a device is $650 but it's actually only $50... that's your negligence. I mean that's not even a small discrepancy. That is how every interaction I have had here has gone. They say one thing and do another and then act like you're the problem for pointing it out. You guys deal with serious procedures that affect peoples entire lives.. you better get it together. The communication between the staff and the doctors is terrifying and nothing is made clear to you. I NEVER MET WITH DR.BURKE BEFORE SURGERY!! She didn't sit down with me and get any history or go over treatment options or explain what would happen with the surgery... NOTHING. She claims in these reviews that every patient gets a full work up and gets every option explained to them extensively-- I can tell you that's a lie! It's so dangerous and unethical to never meet a patient before you operate on them. And I bet she will have some crazy excuse and blame me when she responds to this review so know I am telling the truth. I want to save someone else from this hellish experience. I chose this facility because I care about holistic health and I thought they would too. WRONG. Dr.Carmen Burke is just like any other western medicine hack doctor that doesn't listen to you and doesn't care what you know about your own body. Took priority on only work what was done install bottom part implant, precharged services disclosed i refused, illegal charges of 10,000 plus loss 2 teeth as dr burke cares more about profit over patient and requirements help and leaves you with active infections doesnt even clean implant location to standards ended in emergency 3 times. my advice? stay away from Dr Burke and company. Waaay overpriced, will push additional stuff on you that you don't need. Its all abt the money there, under the guise of 'holistic.'. and the incompetence. wow. Mind blowing. They told me they needed to pull my tooth, would be a 3-6 month procedure etc etc. several thousands of dollars. Any moron knows removing a tooth can set you up for all sorts of additional problems down the road, so you never ever want to pull a tooth unless absolutely necessary! I found Dr. Burke after having visited "The BioDentist" in Denver and being given a $40,000 estimate for Cavitation surgery and mouth restoration. It should be noted that there are a LOT of dentists in Colorado that claim to be holistic but only a handful are TRULY holistic and practice bio-dentistry. It is important when you seek a holistic dentist that they perform the following protocols in relation to an extraction or surgery: 1) Do not use/offer nitrous oxide / instead use frequencies to calm the nervous system 2) Diagnose using a cone beam cat-scan and not just X-ray 3) Use ozone & oxygen as well as ozonated water in the mouth 4) Use bone graft so as not to leave a hole in the jaw 5) Use laser and remove the ligament underneath a tooth 6) Draw your blood, spin it out and use PRF in the cavitation 7) Use homeopathic remedies at the office 8) Sending any infected tissue to a lab for analysis of pathogens post-op\ 9) Will not typically prescribe anti-biotics If your "holistic" dentist does not do all of these things then you are not doing enough to ensure that the bone grows back and you are preventing cavitations and infections on root canals, extractions etc. I thoroughly interviewed this office before making the decision to come here. I just had my surgery yesterday - one extraction and the cleaning out of all four wisdom teeth bone cavitations. I took no drugs, and was very relaxed during the procedure. All of the proper steps were taken care of to ensure that the infections were cleaned out and that the bone will grow back properly. FYI if you have ever had a root canal or tooth removed by a "Conventional" dentist I can almost guarantee that you have a cavitation that is smoldering with infection. When dentists just leave a hole in the bone, what do you think happens over time in a wet, warm, dark hole in your bone. The most disgusting pathogens build up and you would never know it because it won't cause pain or swelling like a traditional infection in the soft tissue since it's in your bone. As a naturopath myself I was very impressed with my surgery here, will be sending my clients here and I cannot wait to see what comes back on the samples that were sent to the lab. It is important to use homeopathic remedies to address SPECIFIC pathogens that were present in your body. I also recommend doing a round of colonics, vitamin C & Ozone IV's before and after surgery. All in it was about 6k with Dr. Burke which is very reasonable and on par with pricing in this space (besides the bio-dentist / Dr. John). read more

Life changed!! 19 months ago I wondered if my life would ever be better. Today, I removed my ALF... healed! Dr Anna changed my life. What she and Dr Krembs are doing is not only breakthrough medical science it is truly life changing. As in every single day my reality is better than I ever imagined possible. I recently visited to get a filling done. Dr. Jumtina was my dentist and Marissa was the assistant. They both were fantastic. Marissa anticipated was Dr. Anna needed. I was blown away. Most times the assistant waits for the dentist to let them know what to get. Its great when they are on the same page. I went to Dr Burke for two front teeth fillings and also a cleaning. Dr Anna Jumtina did the cleaning since the regular tech had a family emergency. She was very sweet and caring and I felt very comfortable with her doing my cleaning. Dr Jumtina is the new holistic Dentist at Dr Carmen Burke's office who is an amazing and caring Dr who I have seen several times and never have had a complaint about her work. She educated me about the treatment options so together we could find the right treatment and have never been sore or in pain or had any sensitivity after a treatment, it's like I didn't have any work done!! More than a dentist she feels like a friend who cares about safer products she uses in her practice and educates you about better caring for your teeth, no other dentist have mentioned any of these tips. So grateful I found her. She also found the cause of a nerve pain that I have suffered from for months and neither my neurologist or my last dentist could figure out what it was and she did. Came to this "Holistic" Boulder Dentist for a root canal that had been already diagnosed by a conventional Denver Dentist. I had been to a Boulder holistic Dentist several years ago who had performed my first root canal at that time based on a single conventional X-ray. This year, the above mentioned conventional dentist was also ready to do his version of the procedure based upon a single conventional X-ray. After a 60 mile round trip drive to her office in Boulder I was told Dr Burke would not proceed without one of these big $100 3D X-rays that basically is a rotating high energy scan of the whole lower half of your head from all directions & angles. I very reluctantly submitted to this and the X-ray was botched when I was placed in a position where the scanner that circles my head kept bumping my shoulder causing me to shift which blurred the X-ray image. Then she wanted to repeat the whole radiation bath again! I politely refused and she politely escorted me to the door and, to her credit, did not charge me a dime for visit or X-ray. My point is, this extravagant dose of radiation which both her conventional and holistic colleagues have no need of but which she insists upon largely negates any benefits of the holistic procedure she uses in the root canal itself! Not to mention that she will order the whole scan thing done again without blinking! In addition, the administrative aspect of this office was poorly run. I was not informed, when booking the appointment over the phone, that the procedure she uses requires several additional weekly visits after the root canal itself is done and that the office pre-books me for all these extra appointments at random days & times without even telling me!!?? Say what?! So, now I have exposed myself to a totally gratuitous X-ray thats probably equivalent to 5 years of conventional X-rays! The evidence that high energy scans are problematic to health is much greater than the evidence that "conventional" root canals are health threats more so than the constantly changing holistic alternative root canal procedures that alternative dentists provide! On a net-net basis, I do not see much "holistic" about this practice. I understand they need X_rays for proper diagnosis but defaulting to the biggest radiation dose that other Dentists do not seem to need shows that the holistic or biological label may be for marketing purposes more than than an indicator of the conduct of the practice. read more

The best holistic dentist in Boulder. After a long search for a holistic dentist, I found one. Many dental practices say they are holistic but I think very few are and I was unable to find one in the Boulder area until I found Dr. Carmen Burke. Being someone who is quite nervous about going to the dentist she and her staff put me right at ease. Kija her office manager was- simply outstanding and truly caring. Both she and Dr. Burke checked in with me after my root canal. The other thing I am still talking about with my family and friends. Is the Cerec 3D printer they were actually able to perform my root canal and 3D print a permanent crown for me the same day. I only needed to go to one dentist's office. When does that ever happen during a complex dental procedure? It had never happened to me before. When I was with them in the office I felt like they were taking care of only me - I was not in a giant queue with many other patients at the same time. They were focusing completely on my care.
