I purchased a lovely Sea Doo from Alamo Cycle Plex earlier this year (2023). I am pleased with my Sea Doo, but am not happy with Alamo Cycle Plex. Before I proceed, please know that many people have had issues with this business. Reviews are meant to assist the public in making a decision on dealing with any business. It is also in place to help any business make things better for thier customer(s). In reading the reviews, you can see the evidence that they feel it is a battle. Many of the customers who left a review were belittled, talked to condescendingly, and often further enraged the negative experience. You can find this yourself online. When I arrived at the dealer, I informed them I wanted to pay cash for my jetski. I made a decision on what I wanted in less than (30) minutes. The staff pushed for me to finance the jetski. This went on for over an hour. I have my credit profile locked, so they tried to run it anyway. They came back to me again asking me to unlock my credit profile, and again I stated I wanted to pay cash. They make money on the backend of the deal financing more than a cash deal. They also profit from those add ons while your are in the F/I office like extended warranty, theft protection, and maintenance packages. When I declined, again they began lowering numbers and trying to add them on the deal. This went on over two days. I dreaded walking inside the second day as I knew it would be several hours of - waiting - again. When my jetski came up for service, I just kept it and did it myself. Why? Because, I did not want to return to Alamo Cycle Plex. Many people have complained online about pricing for labor, and I can assure you labor is not cheap. I do not mind paying for the service, but it was the fact I didn't want to return. My wife communicated she did not want to return either. While adding several upgrades to my jetski that I purchased online, I broke a body clip. So, I drove down to Alamo Cycle Plex to purchase two new body clips. They did not have the clip in stock nor did service (for the 300 jet skis they work on - see the response from management). So I purchased 10 of the clips. I planned to keep 2 of the clips and donate the other 8 to Alamo Cycle Plex. Either their technicians or a customer will need them. The clips were $2 each and the shipping was $15. They can keep the clips. I will not step foot back into Alamo Cycle Plex. There are indeed some awesome people there, but I will kindly pass on my business to another dealer - even if it causes me to drive to Corpus, Austin, Dallas, or Ft. Worth. If you stop here to get something your heart desires, I hope your visit and experience goes much better than mine did. There are some good people there who can make your experience shine like no other. I have met them, but unfortunately they were not involved in my transactions. Let the battle begin. While I await for the management to respond with the usual barrage of negative remarks I placed my order with another dealer. I'll save the management time by stating I must be a poor person who sits behind a keyboard and has no idea about life. Godspeed. read more

They said you go buy the wheel since we don't deal with that "bring it in and we will zero it out ". So I buy the wheel and you keep $640? My husband was not able to ride his motorcycle for almost a year since he was finishing up his time with the military before retirement. Registration needs to be updated so we need to get a safety inspection. We knew that it would fail since the tires needed to be replaced. We are new to the area and so hubby googled the bike shops near to us and found Alamo Cycle Plex. I glanced at their rating and it's not bad for many reviews without really checking or reading the actual reviews. We got there and the experience was great. People are very helpful and we left the bike confident that nothing will go wrong and we will get the bike back by 5 days after. Boy was I wrong! Wednesday came and no phone call from them so we waited (thinking maybe the tires did not arrive on time). Friday came so my husband called them to check on the bike and apparently something went wrong. Bolt in the front caliper broke and it got stuck. Husband was asking them what had happened and told him that they were sending updates and text messages with what had happened. We didn't receive those messages. We drove to Alamo Cycle Plex and they explained what had happened and hubby checked out the bike. They proceeded to tell us that it was over torque and the bolt snapped and its not their fault and we would be charged additional $1k+ for parts and labor to replace the entire thing. THEY BROKE IT, THEY SHOULD FIX IT! . I was very upset at that time and I just let my husband talk to them before I turn into a Karen and that will not be very helpful. Husband tried to negotiate the price to fix it at cost not the regular price they charge and nothing. They suggested that they can try to get the bolt out and guess what THEY ARE CHARGING US FOR IT! We left and came back the next day with a trailer to tow the bike back home. I looked over the paperwork and compare the repair orders and found multiple things: Repair order to replace the tires we already paid for was $200+ more than the new repair order they drafted They entered in the wrong customer in the repair order (a guy with the same name as my husband) - this explains why they are calling the wrong person There are multiple ways that this should have been handled but they failed miserably: Always check the repair order to make sure that what you entered is the customer's info. Funny thing is they have the correct phone number on my keys. If a bolt is stuck - stop working on it and call the customer and let them know the outcome if you proceed Since you proceed to tell us that you don't have the tools to get the bolt out, buy those tools for your mechanic because i am sure this is not the first time this happens. STOP OVERCHARGING! While we were loading the bike in the trailer, the same manager that we tried to negotiate with came out saying "ya'll gonna do us like that?" I was speechless and just went in the truck. She continue to talk to hubby and my father in-law and she probably didn't like what they said and left. Should we have given them a second chance to rectify the situation, maybe. But after reading the comments and reviews where the owner is attacking people who gave them bad reviews. Unfortunately, they fell into the stereotype of the dealer service department that overcharges people for the mistakes they make. We can no longer trust them. Will I be attacked by the owner for this review and discredit what I wrote? Maybe. At this point, I rather have this review out to warn people with what they can possibly deal with. This place is a joke not only did we pay $600+ for brand new tires. My husband had to take off his wheels and bring them into the shop to be mounted, balanced etc. because they didn't want to take his Harley apart. We were charged an extra fee of $37 for "special valve stems" which was bs but ok we paid it. When my husband picked up his wheels and brought them home to mount them he found that one of the tires was put on backwards. BACKWARDS. Not sure where this establishment finds its "seasoned technicians" as the service manager called him but you'd think theyd know how to do something as simple as putting a tire on a wheel. The only reason we brought the wheels here to begin with is because my husband didn't want to mount the tires himself by hand for the risk of scratching his wheels (which the tech at Alamo Cycle Plex did anyway) Luckily my husband knew what to look for before mounting the tires back on his motorcycle. When talking to the service manager he offered to "make it right" and said we could bring the tire back to be fixed and he'd refund the extra $37 but that's not my point. My point is if they did this to someone who didn't know what to look for only God knows what would've happened!! Do better AlamoCyclePlex before one of your technicians kills someone. read more

No stars! Went in to look at a couple different models of bikes. not much in stock. I walked around the entire store and looked at several bikes before someone asked if I needed help. They did have one used bike I was interested in. The keys happened to be in it. I took the keys inside to the salesperson who was rightfully shocked, and asked for a test ride. He said sure and asked for my license. When he walked over to the sales "tower" he came back and wanted to talk numbers. I told him that would be premature since I wasn't 100% sure that's the one I wanted. He continued with the numbers speak. I just said thanks and walked out. My day had started out so nice. I was excited and happy to be looking for a new bike. Man did that kill the vibe. Not sure what happened. He never asked for my insurance paperwork. If he had he would've seen I have full coverage. If they had said test rides weren't allowed then so be it. That obviously isn't the case as the sales person went to the trouble to get my license. I will not be returning to this store Which is sad because I've been a customer for 30 years. Things have definitely changed. Tomorrow I'll be headed to Austin to buy a bike. From what I've seen of the "owners" reply's to other reviews here I know nothing will change. This is to just warn others not to waste their time going to was once a great business. read more

I was super happy with my experience with Alamo Cycle Plex. I did not feel any pressure to buy (and god knows it took me a long time to decide). Austin helped me pick the perfect UTV to get around my ranch, and was very patient and honest about the pros and cons of the vehicles I was considering. And most importantly, the service after the sale was amazing. Austin really went over and beyond to help me, so I hope I can convince somebody else to make a purchase from Alamo Cycle Plex. Update----December 2019 I paid for thermostat and housing to be replaced told that was the leak. I told them I changed it and they said no it was the thermostat and the housing. Paid it still has the leak and they cannot find it so knoebyhey want to operation find out what it is. Which I understand but why not start on the hoses instead of something I told you I already replaced. Inspection was done to see what was wrong with it I notified I did have an issue with the neutral and obviously there is a coolant leak so I didn't say anything well they fixed the neutral switch problem and told me all I need is a new front tire. Nothing was said about the leak. Now I put the bike away because of the leak but had to bring it out due to scheduling with the wife. Bike started having issues turning on, well had a new battery so it should be good. I notice smoke was coming from the side underneath the seat. Took off cover and seat and reached for the ECM module well it had melted to the battery and now the bike will not start. The cover for the battery is missing and the ECM WAS SITTING ON THE BATTERY. So due to someone's "mistakr" I no longer have a working ride. All I hear from the salesmen and service desk is buy a new ride and you wouldn't have to worry about it. I am waiting for a call back yo give them time to see what happened on their end and speak to the mechanic that just happen to no longer work there after he did the neutral switch the first time I took the bike in. First response well we cannot know if it was us that did not put that part back since its been a couple of months since you left and it is an 18 y/o bike. Well the age does not matter if you have people do things the right way and putting stuff back where they belong. I can guarantee you if you put any working ECM module and I mean WORKING one it will fire up with the first try. read more

Brought a quad here under warranty. They charged me a diagnostic fee of $180 and said they had to check if Kawasaki would cover it. Thing still had dealer gas in it and less than one hour of riding time. They kept saying Kawasaki was dragging their feet on covering the diagnostic. Quad was never fixed. Alamo said the carb was "adjusted", but would never elaborate. Still doesn't start without tapping on the bowl. So I gave a bad review to Kawasaki, who called and said Alamo was lying and never contacted the warranty department. Told Kawasaki that I should not be rebuilding a brand new quad and they said that they would handle it. One month later, Kawasaki tells me Alamo was supposed to reach out and schedule a time to pick the quad up and make it right. They are having Woods in New Braunfels fix it. Buying a Kaw Mule there and a Polaris 850. Alamo could be across the street and I wouldn't go there. Just bad. read more

I dropped a bike to get serviced on Monday, they told me two hours and will finish or if you want to pick it the following day. I said okay i can pass by end of day or tomorrow The second day i am following up with them and guess what Michael from the service said it is scheduled to work on it on Friday not even same day. I asked ,What's the estimate is ? It's a 181 usd. So okay here i am infront of Michael and the cost is 256 and looks like i am paying even more . Second thing i asked for a part that was not available they said it will be shipped to the shop and i can pick it Friday, again guess what today is Friday and i came to pick it and they said no it's not ordered because i didn't pay in advance. Went into this place to Try to get a jet ski. The guy in there was very helpful. I sat around why they ran my credit. Took about an hour. The guy asked how much I had to put down I said 2500. About another 30 min he comes back saying I was approved but I needed 4300 down. So i declined and left. About a week later I get the approval from the finance company saying I was approved but they were requiring 1000 down. What a Jip. I could have gotten my jet ski but the dealer was asking for more down so they could pocket cash. If you get approved for anything here always ask to see the approval first. Just read the owners reply. And if he is the owner he has Great customer service mannerisms. First off, I am in my 40s and have financed many things. And as my review states, your salesperson told me what was needed down. And if what you say is true why did the bank send me an approval letter for that jet ski with thousands less down than what your salesperson told me. So the bank lied and told your people it needed 4300 down and then they sent me a letter saying i needed 1800. Yea sounds legit to me. read more

So let me start off by saying, the buying experience was great. I bought a 2011 Honda interstate and the staff did all they could to try and get the information together and pricing for me as they only had the bike for 2 days. They did great. So now comes the problem that I have. I purchased the bike in mid September as an early bday gift to myself. Shortly after having the bike delivered, I began to experience problems with the throttle and battery. Ultimately the Bike had to go in to the shop with in the first month of purchase. They simply said that the battery needed to be charged back up, so they did and I got the back bike. Then a week or so later the bike began to stall out and sputter and then to top it off the battery died again. This next time it went in I was able to talk to the the service desk I informed them that the bike was sputtering and stalling and that the toe/heel pedal was sticking. I was told it was good to go. To be safe I purchased a charger. I was riding back from work and the toe/heel shifter got stuck in between gears and then it snapped stranding me on the side of the road. Thankfully that my salesman (that was let go) and now friend came and helped me get my bike back in the shop Again great salesman and staff I just question why the bike was cleared for sales. PS I only buy used vehicles and have never had these problems read more
