UPDATE 8/2/2016: Lee Roy called me and told me to dispute the charge on my card and that, if my bank asked, he wouldn't fight it. He said if I wasn't happy with the service, he would have no problem allowing the bank to reverse the charge. I am critical of those in the service industry, and I am grateful Lee Roy made the phone call and communicated that to me. Will update accordingly. ------------------------- I would not recommend Lee Roy's shop. First of all I had an appointment at 8am and it didn't get looked at until the afternoon. Not sure why they set appointments. I took my car in to get a diagnostic ran because my car wouldn't shift out of Park. I can use an override for this, but I obviously needed it looked at because this means there is something wrong. I explained recent symptoms of the car but explained that they were no longer present. I stated that my current issue was the shifter being locked. Lee Roy said his $10,000 computer can find every code the dealership can. He called me a few hours later and told me there was some corrosion on the positive battery terminal and some unaccounted for air entering the engine. He charged me $104.95. When I picked up my car and realized the original problem wasn't fixed, I told Lee Roy. Immediately he became extremely defensive and started accusing me of changing my story. No disrespect to him, but he talks three times as much as he listens. That's where the miscommunication came from. I'm sure he's a genuinely nice guy, but customer service (and communication) are not his forte. read more

Well I initially went to lee roy for a pulling issue and a coolant leak issue. Upon taking off my splash gaurd on my 1997 Z71 he found that my pitman arm was barely hanging on so he tightened it and let me know my serpentine belt was bad so I had him replace that as well. He told me my coolant leak was coming from the heater core and it would cost me an estimated 300 to fix so I went ahead and had him do it assuring me that would fix the leak. The day I got my truck back it was getting stuck in park so I took it back and had him fix that for me as well. (a problem that was already starting) I picked it up the next day and parked it at my house. Three days later I went outside and checked out my fluids and sure enough my overflow tank was empty again and the radiator was low. So I went back to lee roy again and this time he tells me that it's not my heater core but my intake manifold needed to be replaced and that would for sure solve my issue. At this point I've already spent $564.92 cash.... So I drop it off with him again with the assurance it would solve my issue. When he was in the process of doing my manifold he let me know my distributor was about to dump out and he recommended replacing it so I said go for it. So I pick up my truck the next day and pay 900.00 in cash and 353.35 in my card. For a total of 1253.35. A few days later my tank is empty AGAIN and my radiator is low AGAIN. So I look around and see its dripping pretty rapidly from a hose. I go back to lee roy and show him where I see the leak at and at this time he tells me that the hoses needed to be replaced well "we should have replaced the hoses but sometimes you try to save someone a buck and it bites you in the butt". So I asked him if he's gonna take care of it and he tells my well "I can't warranty a 20 year old hose." which i understand but I didn't ask you to skip those hoses to save me a buck I wanted my truck done right. So at this point I'm fed up. And just asked him to fix it. He ended up doing it and told me he would add the price to my next bill and informed me that my radiator hoses needed to be replaced. Again the very next day my overflow and radiator are empty again. Finally I said to hell with it and went to another mechanic and right away he spotted the leak at my waterpump and showed me where it was coming from. So I ended up paying him $650.00 cash and have not had another issue since. I'm sure Lee Roy and the guys are good people but I can't help but feel that I was robbed for my money. Especially when I had another mechanic look at my truck before Lee Roy and he told me it was my water pump. But I felt Lee Roy's crew was more knowledgeable and professional so I went with B&M. Lesson learned get a third opinion. Unfortunately I cannot say I'll be taking my business back to B&M. read more
