Went in to look at travel trailers yesterday. We walked in and found 1 salesman standing and 2 others "playing" on phones with nothing to do. The gentleman did not introduce himself, did not shake our hands, did not ask us our names, did not ask what we were looking for. We said to him that we wanted to look at trailers in the showroom. He told us that he had to stand in the showroom and watch us "for liability purposes " which was fine with us but then further told us that we probably knew more about travel trailers than he did. Comment made no sense. We went in and out of about 6 trailers (none of them had any pricing on them and none had any lights on in them and some were very dark when you entered the bedroom area. If you are so worried about "liability " wouldn't you assure that your patrons can see when entering the rooms in what you are selling?) We asked about pricing on 2 trailers. He didn't know exact prices, gave us no details on what each one had, no info. Then my husband said "my wife really likes the 25 foot trailer" , pointing to it, but said "I can't see what the bedroom looks like. Do the trailers have lights we can turn on to see what the bedroom area looks like?" The salesman, who hasn't given us his name, states that we are being rude asking to have the lights turned on when we haven't even given him our names. He continues to say that we walked in, didn't give our names and walk around going in trailers and now we want the lights turned on to see!(although we were never asked for our names, never had a hand extended for a handshake, and he didn't give us his name). Heaven forbid that we should walk in trailers and want to see what we are buying! I told salesman what I thought of his rude behavior and said we would take our business to someone who wanted it and we walked out. Today ( next day) I called and asked to speak with Manager or owner. I spoke with a gentleman by the name of Jeremy (I believe he stated, when asked, that his last name was Madrone). I told him what happened and he stated that he knew exactly who we had dealt with as he was one of the sales representatives sitting at the desk when we walked in and out (the ones playing on their phones leaning back in their chairs). I told him what happened and he said he would "counsel his salesman." But then he said maybe his salesman was having a "bad day" and basically that I should give grace to his salesman's bad behavior and rudeness as " we never know what kind of a bad day people are having". I said "excuse me" you don't know what kind of day I or my husband is having but wouldn't expect that as an excuse for bad behavior to your sales people." I said "I am going to send a letter to the owner about what is happening at his company." Jeremy, who identified himself as a Sales Manager, said "you DON'T need to criticize 'MY' dealership when I said I would counsel my employee." I asked "Are you the owner?" He would not answer. Went on to say my husband is a manager and has been for many years of Sales in global companies and he would never treat people who took the time to call with a complaint this way. The gentleman was basically laughing about his salesperson's behavior and acting like it was nothing big that this company lost a potential sale over extreme employee rudeness. It was like, get over it lady!!! Then when I was talking he said I was "yelling"....no I wasn't "yelling" at all just stating the facts and being talked over by him saying how dare I criticize "HIS" Dealership when I stated I was also going to send a follow-up letter to the owner of the company. Again I asked if he owned the dealership as I was going to write the owner. Told him I don't normally call to complain against every business that doesn't give good service but thought this employee's behavior was really bad. He said "If you keep yelling (which I was in no way "yelling") I'm going to hang up on you" And I again asked if he was the owner and he said "Bye" and hung up on me. I will take my business to someone who wants and values me and my husband and won't waste my time with businesses like this who have rude employees, rude managers (who won't say if they are truly a manager or the owner yet keep referencing that it is "MY dealership") and then make excuses for their rude employees instead of running customer oriented sales and service businesses. I would give "0" stars if that was an allowed rating on this forum. In close, You can hang up on me all you want when I wasn't "yelling"...you were just looking for an excuse not to answer my question about ownership of this dealership and once again dismiss me as your salesman had, (it was evident by your giggling and reprimanding me at the same time).....I will still get my voice heard...maybe not by your business, but in other forums such as this. read more

Be warned, this is not a walk in and look around a showroom type of store. You walk into an office lobby where you are greeted by several salesmen. One will kindly introduce themselves to you while the others look on. You will not see the showroom just beyond the lobby, nor will you see a door that is clearly marked "Showroom". You have to engage with the salespeople to get to the inventory. You cannot take a look around on your own. Just be prepared, it's awkward. Since they didn't sell a motorized vehicle, only trailers, we left from the lobby. Low stars because it's awkward and weird. Don't bother coming here. Salesmen are lazy. Unless you're flashing cash at them they won't bother. Came to look for some parts possible trade in. Salesman greeted us basically said if you're just here for parts I'm not taking you out to look at trailers. The trailer I asked about was literally 10 feet from me. Refused to walk 10 feet. Went here to go check out some RVs for the family, and my husband was racially profiled before he even exited the car. We had just pulled into the parking lot, and were gathering our things to exit and head in, when we were rudely greeted by their salesman, John. He came out with his hands up and asked what we were doing there, or why we were in the parking lot. We told him we wanted to look at mobile homes and he turned us away immediately. The man seemed drunk and angry, and shouldn't even be there. He made racial slurs and assumed we didn't have money or something, but he didn't make the business seem very welcoming, nor a lace that I'd like my kids to step foot in. Never gonna check this place out AGAIN AND I DONT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. If I could rate 0 stars I would. I had the most amazing experience at Family RV! First of all I just want to give a big shout out to the Sales guys Aidan and John. They are always in the front ready to great you, I would know I showed up multiple times in one day! They are very knowledgeable about all the trailers and don't waste your time showing you trailers that don't match what you're looking for but if you don't know or just want to see other trailers, they were more than happy to open them up to look at them. Aidan was my main salesman and was super patient with all my back and forth and triple inspections of the used trailer I saw they had online. Also big shout out to the GM who stayed after hours to accommodate my father coming down late to also inspect and talk business with. It was just a window shop day for us. I had researched for about 14 mos at this point and really honed in on this particular model for my solo travel. Gabby helped us for a bit and then got another call to help someone else out. No worries, we were not there to buy that day anyway. We went back, I don't remember the date, but Tanner helped us out. He took us to the same trailer, the price had gone up, naturally as the sales across the nation are exploding. Again, not there to buy, so just taking inventory. On Nov. 15th, we went in for a purchase. We were greeted by Ian, Tanner did not work there any longer after we inquired. He was patient and friendly and so very professional. We gave him the details on our previous visits and were honest that we had another lot to visit before making our final decision regarding where we would buy from, that day. He was polite and encouraged us to do all research and he was hopeful he would hear from and see us again. We did visit another dealer, not family rv related and all that did was reinforce that we had made the right decision by going back to family rv. The price was right, the sales dept. was quick, the service was unparalleled and the level of patience in negotiation a price and my husbands million questions etc...is unmatched. They are true champs and truly, I feel, want to see their customers happy and satisfied. I am all of that and more. This trailer that I first spotted in July, sat safely inside until I decided I truly wanted that model and went to grab her in Nov. Upon pickup, I did my walk through with Jeremy. This guy is this companies secret weapon. I know he has done a million walk throughs, yet he treated me with such respect and patience and enthusiasm as if I were his first walk through customer. The guy is a true professional and made me feel as though no question was a "dumb" question. After renting for years, you need to learn about your trailer in a different way and he helped me with all of that. Now, yesterday I took her in for a few minor things to get worked on. We found a travel trailer we just loved online & went to this location to see it since they had one in stock. First of all this unit was a 2023 & had been there for quite awhile according to our salesperson. We worked with both Aiden & Ian, both good guys, nothing bad to say about either one. They were helpful, answered all our inquiries & we scheduled a time to come in on the day after thanksgiving to buy our trailer. Let me also state that both my husband & myself have 850 credit scores, we had cash down payment, we were pre approved for the purchase of the unit we wanted...Than we got the great displeasure of meeting Jeremy/Jerry the Finance Manager - this is where it went downhill FAST - in less than 10 minutes we walked out of there. He was rude & arrogant from the moment we were introduced to him. We had read the bad reviews about this place but because we found this trailer we loved & were treated well by the sales staff we felt good about moving forward with the purchase. What clinched it was a question regarding the mandatory $1700.00 inspection fee (which is included free as standard practice at other dealers) that included a start up kit with 1 battery, propane, 1 hose.. we merely asked for an additional sewer hose ($40 or $50??!) for the 2nd tank & he acted like we were asking for 1/2 off the trailer itself! He told us , "No. The deal is the deal." We asked him if he was actually going to let the sale walk for a mere sewer hose?! He sarcastically came back with, "I can ask you the same!" Weeeeeeeell my husband & I looked at eachother & said, we're done here! And we left. The great news in this awful experience is that he actually did us a favor! We actually got the same unit we loved at another dealership but in the new 2024 model, with a bigger fridge, auto leveling, 2 a/c's, better upgraded loveseats, lower interest rate, weight distribution hitch thrown in (way more than a $50 sewer hose!)! All these additional upgrades for literally for the same price that didn't allow for an additional hose - lol - thanks Jeremy!! If I had only read the reviews prior to making a trip to Family RV. We stopped in today to check out toy haulers. One of their salesman, a shorter Filipino man, was absolutely rude and unprofessional. My husband and the salesman were discussing pricing. The salesman said make me a deal, so my husband did just that. His response was, "OK, let's go write it up!" My husband asked him to give us a second so he could make a phone call. Minutes later, the salesman came back and my husband asked if he could hold the price until mid week so that we could make sure our side by side would fit properly. His response, "What price?" .. as if he didn't just talk pricing with us 3 minutes prior. He came off extremely rude.. and when my husband said nevermind, he stormed off like a child, pissed off, and left us in the middle of the parking lot. That's no way to make a sale. Surprisingly easy to do business with. The sales reps were incredibly knowledgeable about all their toy haulers, trailers, and RVs. Having owned a few, we had very specific questions. They were able to answer all of them. I appreciate that the sales people actually know their products and they know them well. AIiden and John were extremely pleasant to work with and had a ton of patience. Service has also been a breeze to work with. Having some typical trailer issues (from the factory, not from the dealership) and they were handled right away. This is the first service department that has been fast and handled all the issues correctly. Buying my trailer was easy. Staff was friendly but I now feel like I've been lied to. I was told if I ever needed repairs they were fast and easy. I've never been able to bring my trailer in any sooner than 2 weeks out. The selling point was "bring it in Monday, have it by Friday" maybe they should said in 2 weeks. The service dept doesn't answer the phone. Ok, you're busy. They at least return your calls promptly or at the very least same day? NOPE. I get it times are different and everyone is struggling to survive. I also know they're are other companies who realize the importance of keeping customers and being upfront about longer wait times and being short staffed. Well this is started out as a great experience at the dealership to look for a toy hauler. Was upfront with the sales person and the finance guy that she brought out to the trailer. A trailer at this moment is a want not a need!!! We liked the trailer that we were looking at and was wanting to get some more info on things that would need to be done for the financing and the misc. odd and ends when buying a trailer. So we went into the office and this is where things started to change a bit from a friendly conversation to the hard ball. My wife and I still wanted the information to compare a few different things that we are looking at on the market. After talking things over with the wife we were wanting to get the bottom dollar price for the trailer to see if everything worked for us. When I got the call back to get the price (when they already said they would work a better price) the lady on the phone is wanting me to run my credit to get the price of the trailer. I am not worried about the finance side have amazing credit. Just wanted the price of the trailer only, and they did not want to do that till I ran my credit. This is not the correct way of doing business and trying to strong arm a client. I do not care that your GSM is old school and thats the way he does things. Well that does sound like the scummy used car salesman ways. The people that I was working with pointed out 5 different times the banner that said voted #1, what year was that done in and by whom? By far the worse customer service I have ever seen in my life from someone. Fair warning on this scummy sales tactics that they use to try and strong arm you into buying a trailer. Unfortunately, we bought our trailer from one of the big guys (they suck! But that's another review) before we found Family RV, so i can only speak to our experience with the service department. That being said, the interactions we had with ANY AND ALL staff were stellar. We will definitely buy our next trailer here. These guys are awesome. We contacted Family RV for repairs after Giant RV gave us the run around on some body damage we needed fixed. We worked with London in Family RV's service department. He was clear, professional and down to earth. Always available for status updates, attentive to detail. LONDON LISTENED, and ensured our repair went exactly to plan. Our trailer was ready on time and pick up was a breeze. The guys even took extra time to discuss an unrelated question us newbies had about connecting our solar panel ourselves. The electrical guy was clear, kind and no nonsense. They were all super helpful as we struggled with hooking up our trailer. Honestly, we felt like we working with friends. The staff here are all super chill and talk to you like a person, not a number. I cannot say enough about the level of service London provided. We will be back! read more

We bought a new Road Warrior in Texas. We have a warranty so we called Road Warrior, and they gave us Family RV in Ontario to get the work done. We called and made an appointment but had to reschedule because our truck broke down. We got our truck back and we called to reschedule. The guy who answered the phone says they don't do warranty work. We told him they already scheduled previously. We asked to talk to the manager, we thought maybe he may be new and wasn't aware that they do warranty work. The guy told us to "F@ck off, I already told you buddy" and hung up on us. So do I recommend this company? No... this person was so rude and such a bad human being. read more

To start off it's always a long process looking at accessories or a car. I went to Giant RV and the sales consultant came off as lazy. I asked reasonable questions like fresh water, solar, weight loads etc. He was just not having it. He said we can email and text back and forth if you have those questions.. I said, I am here and your open .. He wasn't knowledgeable about their products. So I drive down a few miles to Family RV and met Jeriamiah. I told Jeremiah my experience and I was a serious buyer. This being my first purchase of a family trailer, I had nothing but a good Time! The experience was smooth and didn't have to hassle much about where I wanted to be. Steve and the rest of Management were easy going and very hospitable. I just can't say enough. I did have a little electric issue that I had to come back and get repaired. I have been a customer for over 5 years as I continue to get more confident in my ability to handle a larger rig I have gone from an 18 ft trailer to my current 35 ft. With each step I have been assisted and trained by the guys in the back, the guys you will come to know and trust when you have an issue or opportunity to make your unit work just right you you and your family. And I am not talking just you maintence calls! As a new RVer I have literally called the team from my site in a campground with my cell phone asking questions and asking for guideance on why some thing is not working as I thought it would. This may be a little unfair to the RV's but I wouldn't know since we didn't see any. I was ready to buy something but as soon as I walked towards the door someone was already outside waiting to greet us, very nice. Then was bombarded with questions and unless we had a personal tour of each unit we can't see them. Sorry but I don't need to be sold, I can figure out what I like and if I have questions I will ask. Buying a trailer here was great. However, do not bring your trailer here for service unless you don't need it for 6+ months and enjoy being treated like garbage. Upon return of your trailer, you'll find nothing was complete properly except the item that wasn't under warranty. In addition, make sure you get whatever price you're being charged in writing up front as they will state you approved an amount that's not actually what you approved and then claim they "have all the documents to prove it." Save yourself a lot of trouble, headache and find people that actually care about helping you because they are not it! read more

WORST EXPERIENCE AND WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! My dad went in last week and purchased a trailer and was treated horribly! He was doing an orientation to learn about the trailer and Dave who was conducting the orientation, laughed at my dad after he simply asked a question and he then rudely walked away! My dad felt humiliated and so disrespected because it was as if he was laughing at him just because he has an accent and was completely discriminating him. He then spoke with London who is the service manager to let him know about what occurred, and he was just as rude and on top of not being understanding at all, he told my dad that he had asked the same question 3 times which is completely false and that he would have to charge him for another orientation when it's not my dads fault that Dave was extremely unhelpful and rude. To make matters worse, he then spoke with Jeremy who is the general manager and again, he was so incredibly rude and simply told him that it's "not his call" and to speak with the service manager which he had already spoken to and received the worst treatment. It's my dads first trailer and there's so much to learn about it, and it's completely unacceptable to be so poorly treated once he already made the purchase. Adrian who was his salesperson isn't answering any of his questions, and this is the worst experience!! Customers should be valued and treated with respect before, during, and after the sale regardless if customers have questions or not. I would advise anyone to stay away from these people. My wife went to look at some travel trailers there, cash-in-hand. We were met cordially at the front door. That is where problems started. Nobody in there was wearing a mask. Next, when he realized our age, we were turned over to a gentleman more our age. Again, no mask! We spent over 2 hours at the store. We were treated in a manner typical of a high pressure auto sales showroom. To top it off, we were given a price that was $5000 over the sales price, including a $1700 dealer prep fee and excessive doc fees. Outrageous! They must have thought we were really gullible and wanted the trailer really bad. Needless to say, once I had my drivers license back we left. Just an update: that was Monday. On Tuesday, I found a unit with more upgrades in Everett WA. They sold it to me for $7000 less than the unit here, even with more upgrades! And they were willing to ship it to Portland for delivery to me. That's customer service! This place has the best customer service and the most friendly team you will ever run into. Jeremy in sales was awesome. Jeremy knowledge on RV trailers was amazing. Jeremy was able to fit our family with the perfect travel trailer that meet all our needs and beyond our expectations. Jeremy asked us what we would like in a travel trailer, I gave him a list of what we can dream up in a trailer (things I could not find in any trailer after shopping for weeks) and Jeremy showed us dozens upon dozens of trailers they have in there huge inventory, and lead us to the trailer he thought would be the right fit for our family and budget. And we were blown away that they had a travel trailer that meet all our expectations.
