    Prime Rib Dinner
    Cameo L.

Girls night out and these sandwiches did not disappoint! From the BLT to the prime rib! The bread was great and the meat was jammed pack with flavor. My favorite was the horseradish sauce it was tangy and had a good zing to it. The server was a little uneasy with a large group but I think they were still new which is totally okay! I loved the sports bar feel as it's great for a fun casual night out. Will be back for that prime rib sandwich and horseradish sauce!

We visited for the first time for Arizona Restaurant Week and it was a great deal! Southwest Eggrolls were delicious, we also got prime rib which was a 3.5/5 and the dessert was amazing! They have a great HH menu, which I plan to go back for.

I've been to Famous 48 twice now, and it was great on both visits. I was staying down the street at the Hyatt and it's a very short walk to Famous 48. Drinks: They have a great beer selection and cocktail menu. My favorite is their Snowbowl Whiskey and Coke. It's basically a coke Icee/Slurpee with Buffalo Trace Bourbon. It is ridiculously good, and I never order frozen drinks. I've also had the Old Fashioned. It comes with a big cube and is solid. Wings: They're called grilled drumettes here. I get the Buffalo sauce. It comes on the side. They come grilled and they're on point. I like that they have a half order option, so I can have a few wings and not fill up. Prime Rib: They offer Prime Rib daily and it's really good. I've had it twice and it's been cooked a perfect medium rare both times. It comes with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Service: I had great service on both visits. Final Thoughts: Famous 48 is a great option when in The Gainey Ranch area of Scottsdale. Super convenient if you're staying at The Hyatt Regency. The menu has lots of choices and great drink options as well. I would definitely return to Famous 48 the next time I'm in Scottsdale.

Highlight were the egg rolls and the cornbread...really good stuff. The fish n chips is good, not great, needs more crunch and am used to coleslaw with them. The fries were pretty great, nice and crispy. Nice spot, great to watch the game and very friendly people. I'll definitely come by to check out their happy hour next!

Do yourself a favor and just pass on this place. Within 5 minutes of sitting down I saw a server snap at a manager and then I overheard her say (at the host desk), "We'll, it's not my fault." Turns out she was our server and apparently was overly busy. Not a warm welcome for our first time here. The table was all wet, the booth had crumbs all over the bench seat, and the rolled linen napkins were dirty. The food arrived quickly even though it was crowded but maybe they precook and reheat because nothing tasted fresh. The layout is actually nice. There were 9 large TVs within my view at our table but personally I'd choose O.H.S.O or Twin Peaks over this restaurant since the hosts, servers and bartenders at both are much friendlier and the food is better. No plan to return.

My fiancé and I came to Famous 48 for arizona restaurant week. The deal was too good to pass up!!!! $55 for an appetizer, two entrees, and a dessert. We ordered the southwest egg rolls as our starter - there was great flavor inside the actual egg roll - there was a delicious sauce inside with a kick. It had corn, beans, and chicken. It was served with a salsa verde sauce. We both got the fish n chips. The fish was fried perfectly - the batter was a little thick but the fish was nice and moist inside and the tartar sauce was delicious. The side of fries was also good - salted enough and very crispy but soft in the middle. The entree was so big that I only finished about half of my fries. We finished the meal with a skillet cookie. The cookie is thinner but covers a good area. The gooey cookie paired perfectly with the vanilla ice cream. Will definitely be back for a sports Sunday with all of their TV's around! And their food was great too

Another great experience at Famous 48 in Scottsdale. We decided to have the trio dip & warm chips and the Famous 48 skewers. The skewers were chicken and beef with a dipping sauce along with cilantro rice. Both dishes were on the Happy Hour menu 3 to 6. Margarita was also great at a reduced price. Staff was very friendly and got another bowl of chips for us. Inside and out dining with a large bar with many TV's .

THEY HAVE REAL STEAK TIPS! As long as I've known my Bostonian husband, he's been going on and on about how he wants real steak tips like back home. Apparently these aren't the same as beef tips that are smothered in gravy. It's been over a decade and we stumbled across this place when in Scottsdale. The look on his face was enough. They were really good with nice dippers. Along with that we had the deviled eggs which were great too. My kiddo loved the grilled chicken sandwich. They have a pretty sweet happy hour as well. We will definitely be back!

First time here for restaurant week Sunday night - not really busy.. Deviled eggs consisted of 5 1/2 eggs.. with bacon. The grilled salmon was good and hubby said the baby back ribs were good. The BBQ pizza was a bit dry... the worst part was their service. We hardly saw our waitress and we're left sitting there waiting for quite a while waiting for our food or when we were ready for dessert or when we wanted another drink... Maybe the waitress had an off day, will have to try again since there are so many good reviews.

Famous 48 is a HDTV heavy, sports bar with terrible acoustics. What? I can't hear you! The food however is quiet good. If you've been to Warm Beer & Cold Burgers, it very similar. Of course the owners are the same, which begets the question -what is the difference between the two? I don't know. Famous 48 feels larger and has more TVs I guess. After waiting 10 minutes, I had to point out the free table to the zombie hostesses with iPads. They kept trying to look busy, but didn't notice the free table 10 feet away. LOL What are those iPads for exactly? We started some with appetizers and wine, then moved on for some burgers. Both were good and cooked as ordered. The dessert as very tasty. Three and a Half Stars, "A-Okay."

We went here twice over the last two days and most everything was excellent. The baby back ribs were $30 for a full rack, but easily made my top five rib list. The meat fell off the bone and the sauce was tangy and delicious. Also enjoyed both sides, with the bacon and corn edging out the Mac and Cheese. The house burger at $16 was cooked well done and tasted great as well. The next day, we split a giant plate of nachos which had all the ingredients you would expect, but these nachos used a cheese sauce instead of real cheese. The added chicken was nice white meat pieces. The only miss the banana bread pudding which used cooked bananas and didn't taste good at all.

Sports bar If you're looking to watch the game and eat bar food, then this is your place. Typical fried foods and beers with an abundance of TV's

Gin, mint, cucumber cocktail. I believe it comes with vodka but I switched to gin.

We came her for lunch. It was great! The service was fast and good! We got the fried pickles, babyback ribs which fell off the bone! The BBQ sauce was good too. The Mac and cheese was ok. The bathrooms are very clean and modern. I got a gin, mint, cucumber cocktail.

My cousin had been here before and mentioned the food and drinks were solid, so we had to check it out! The space is a cool mix of industrial-chic with a massive wine wall, a great patio, and a stage for live music. They also have a ton of TVs inside and outside if you come to watch a game. We were seated after a short wait, and took a few minutes decide on our choices-even though the #YEShusband and I had already been checking out the menu on our way over. Our waitress, Reese, was super friendly and her recommendations reinforced our ordering decisions. She even gave us a few suggestions we will have to try on our next visit! Here's a recap of what we ordered: - ROSÉ 75 (Hangar 1 Rosé Vodka, Kronan Swedish Punsch, strawberry & lime juices, Lunetta prosecco): Incredibly refreshing with a nice little buzz. Perfect for a sunny afternoon. - SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP (house made spinach & artichoke dip topped with parmesan & mozzarella cheese. Served with chips & garlic toast): This was so yummy; and was good to share between four people! The top of the dip was perfectly golden, and I liked that it didn't taste as heavy as some other cheesy dips. - HOUSE MADE SOUTHWEST EGG ROLLS (chipotle chicken, black beans, pico de gallo, cheddar jack cheese, chipotle ranch): Another hit! The filling was flavorful, and the egg roll wrapping itself was perfectly cooked. I appreciated that these were house made and didn't feel like something that was previously frozen. - HONEY HOT CHICKEN SANDWICH (buttermilk fried chicken breast, honey hot sauce, pickles, pepperjack, coleslaw, served on sesame seed bun with fries): I've tried a ton of chicken sandwiches thanks to my husband, and this one really stood out! We added bacon (pro move!), which elevated an already delicious sandwich. I particularly enjoyed the hot honey sauce which was on the buttery side, and didn't overwhelm the rest of the flavors. The fries were also crispy and had a good flavor. - STEAK BITES (beef tenderloin tips with balsamic reduction & micro greens served over flat fries): My cousin ordered this, and seemed to generally enjoy the steak, but wasn't feeling the flat fries. She said it was good, but she likely wouldn't order again. Overall everything was really solid, service was good, and the atmosphere was chill. Highly recommend this as a post-game stop or for an outing with friends or family. Looking forward to coming back soon!

You were a little nervous because it looked really packed but the Plaza had plenty of restaurants. So we thought we'll go in and try it out, so it was very busy on a Friday night but they were able to set us down within a few minutes. We got a great parking spot. The hostess set us down immediately. We ordered the ribs and glass of wine, the fried fish, and the butter cake for Desert Our whole dinner experience. It was probably an hour tops. Which was fine because we were hungry. The ribs came out so fast. And my Husbands fish came out immediately. After. And the ribs were super tender. Came with a side of onion rings. My Husbands fish and chips was a fillet portion of fish and reasonable amount of steak fries with the tiny portion of coleslaw and tartar sauce. It was very very good food. The wine was fine. Our service was very fast, but but good. I was given a nice warm hand towel to clean my hands. If I wanted to use my fingers to eat my food. Which was nice, but butter cake was absolutely delicious. Came with a huge portion of ice cream. I had leftovers which was boxed for me, which I love that. The prices were very reasonable. I thought we would absolutely go back if we were in the area. The ambience is very nice like every Scott restaurant. I would definitely give it a try if you're in the area.

We were…read moreseated right next to the kitchen and bar station, which is never appealing to begin with. At the same time in my head, I was thinking well...we will probably get the best service. Boy was I wrong. The service was atrocious. We actually had to go up and refill our own waters because we couldn't get our server at our table. I almost felt sorry for her as it appeared her section was completely across the other side of the restaurant and they must've just thrown her our table since it was close to the bar. Please note that we made dinner reservations a week in advance, which most people are walk-ins. When we finally did get drinks that another server came over to deliver, he seemed like it was his first day as he was having a hard time setting them down. None of the drinks were full. It looked like they all had several sips taken out of them. I don't know about you, but that's not typically how I have received cocktails in a martini glass before. Then it was time for entrées. We ordered appetizers, the shrimp cocktail, soup, and the tuna tartare. All of them turned out pretty good so I was hopeful. Then the entrées came. I had the seafood risotto which I was very much looking forward to. It was greasy and cold. I don't know about you, but I like my risotto warm. My friend had a simple chicken Caesar salad and the lettuce was wilted and the chicken was barely cooked. Needless to say, we were very disappointed with our meal. At this point, you could tell the staff knew we were not happy when we were having to get up and get her own waters. There was conversation amongst them looking over at our table so we started getting a bit more attention. Our server came over and would act like nothing was ever wrong. There was no apology necessary apparently. When we went to pay the bill, the only option on there is 20% plus for gratuity. So I guess she gets 20% for lack of service. We definitely will not be back. We did, however, go to Saint urban which is a sister property right next-door afterwards for drinks. The wine was a couple dollars cheaper and yeah, ambience was way better. Not to mention the service. I can't wait to go back and eat there. So I guess in summary the restaurant group will still come out ahead as I will be dining at their other properties but this one I will not be back.

The ambiance is probably the main reason I keep coming back. It's a Fox Restaurant Concept place and for us half are good and half are meh. Regular pricing on the menu was a little high for the quality of food. Having to go through fancytown mall wasn't our jam and we realized after it was close to the "other" valet but still weird to have to go into the mall to enter. Service felt a little rushed like we were taking too long with our 3 courses for 3 people. Crispy chicken potstickers were pretty good, w a great sauce for dipping. Ten vegetable salad was good but a little small if that was the regular menu size. Wagyu pigs in a blanket were my favorite thing. Short rib had good risotto but sauce was way too sweet. Chicken francese was our favorite entree. Good flavor w great sauce. Maine lobster roll wasn't that good. Didn't taste like much, like no seasoning and seemed to have something extra that didn't help. As a person from New England, this wouldn't hold up back East. Desserts were okay. Sticky toffee wasn't for me. Praline cake thing was alright. The tart was the best. I wouldn't call their martinis "world famous" as the restaurant does. My wife's dirty was almost crystal clear. Anyone who orders a dirty martini wants enough brine to make it cloudy, at least a little bit. This one was like it had no salt to it. Fancy Cowboy Attire is a horrible drink. Like diabetes sweet. I don't know how a rye whiskey drink could be this bad. It may be the worst $18 cocktail I've ever had. I had to chug it and hated it. So like I said, with RW places sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. This was our biggest L in years.
