Another popular brunch place staple that I had to visit on my Arizona trip! Hash Kitchen is well known for their build-your-own Bloody Mary bar, but I stick to the food when I'm here. The menu changed around a bit in the 4 years since I had been there, but luckily they had my s'mores pancakes (for a limited time as my server said they are now seasonal). The S'mores pancakes were still an absolute hit. They need to be a permanent fixture on the menu again. One change I thought that was cute is they had a Girl Brunch offering on the menu. It included a dry martini, fries, and Caesar salad. Service was good. Restaurant was bright and modern with the windows and lights. Parking was plentiful in this shopping center. Nice spot to grab breakfast before going to the Peoria Sports Complex. Less than a 10 minute walk to the stadium. They don't take reservations, but you can join the waitlist online. We got the potato tacos with birria. Very tasty. I think it would've been a bit one note without the meat, so I'm glad we got the birria. They also had a menu item where you could pick 3 sides for $10. Seemed like a good deal, but I wouldn't order this again. Our 3 items were fruit, berries, and avocado. They put the fruit and berries in a small bowl and the avocado was a couple slices--probably about a quarter of one. Iced coffee can be skipped. It is a loud restaurant, as they have a DJ upfront, but we quickly got used to it. Roasted "smashed" potatoes ... let me tell you about these papas folks.... If you are a California native and know of a pizza chain called "Shakeys...." Then you can the better imagine the taste of what I'm about to describe. These whole roasted potato (small yellows I believe) appear to have been par broiled first, set aside, cooled, then smashed to break the skins and exposed the creamy center a bit. They are then dusted in garlic, Parmesan and rosemary, and baked until a nice crust form. In-effing-credible! Along with this AF breakfast, came two THICK slices of French toast... mmmpph. Coffee was solid and I also tried their signature Bloody Mary which set the tone for this experience. Building on the incredible our hostess, ALEXIS, was kind , courteous , knowledgeable and attentive. Super charming and super chill at the same time. Her level of customer service cemented our experience here at HASH as top notch. I can not make a higher recommendation for this place and cannot make higher commendations for ALEXIS. Hash Kitchen is 5 stars all the way. This continues to be my go to breakfast spot when visiting Scottsdale. Easily walkable from The Grand Hyatt where we usually stay. The food is great and the amount of drink choices is ridiculously extensive. They have a huge build your own bloody mary bar, tons of mimosa options, boozy coffee drinks and more. I typically get a mimosa flight and a coffee of some kind. My wife enjoys their Irish Coffee. Tons of non alcoholic coffee options as well. One of the main reasons we came here initially was that they offered gluten free waffles. My wife has celiac disease and she likes to have some sweet options for breakfast instead of just the savory. Well done to Hash Kitchen for offering that. My favorite dish is The Mexicana Scramble. Really delicious with chorizo, eggs , avocado, jalapenos, and tomatoes. I've tried the standard American breakfast with bacon and eggs. Really solid also. Service has always been spot on. I will 100% continue to have breakfast here when I'm in Scottsdale. read more

While we've been to several Hash Kitchen locations but this one is so small and SO loud. You really need to sit outside if you want to have a conversation. The food is delicious and they switch up the menu regularly which is fun since the new options are always intriguing and the names they give them are humorous. The service here is incredibly slow, however. I really miss the Hash on Frank Lloyd Wright and the Arcadia Hash is nice as well (but too far unless heading to or from the airport). I'm really not sure why this location continues to disappoint with their service when the other two spots provide/d a consistently great experience. read more

We came down to Scottsdale for our anniversary and went straight to HASH KITCHEN. This was our first visit there. It is very Instagram friendly, with cool slogans and signs on the wall. Way to set the tone. There was a DJ playing music as well. It was fairly restrained, which is nice as it was 9:30 in the morning. Not something you see every day, yet somehow it works. When you first come in, the first thing you see is their amazing Bloody Mary bar. It's front and center, glittery and very inviting. Yes, we did start with the bar. The bar is round and you start on one side and sidle your way around clockwise, after reading the helpful instructions. Choose your mix and then you get to add all number of crazy fun 'toppings', including: pepperoncini, various cheeses, carrots, onions, pickles, olives, artichoke hearts, corn, spicy Brussel sprouts and more. They even have a warmer with a variety of cooked 'toppings' for your Bloody Mary. Bloody Mary? More like Bloody amazing. The server was great and event suggested we download their app, which gave us a discount off our visit, so I recommend you do that if you have not been there before. It is completely possible to just do the Bloody Mary and be all set for breakfast, but we had to try to food as well. I had the croque monsieur which came with the most incredible new potatoes which were partially smashed, and perfectly cooked. I start to drool just from the memory when I look at that photo (see my photos!). My wife had the Birria taco... hash...omelette. The only disappointment was that I was thinking about getting an espresso martini but they were out of kahlua so I just went with a cold brew instead. Went on a Sunday at 11 and got seated very quickly after adding ourselves to the waitlist before leaving the hotel. When we got in it was relatively loud, and we had forgotten it was Sunday Brunch time being on vacation and not paying attention to the days! We got the Birria Hash and Avocado Toast Trio and shared both between the 2 adults. The 2 smallest kids shared the kids chocolate chip pancakes and the older kid got the Smores pancakes (half order, which was 2 pancakes vs 4 in the full order). We also got a Tiramisu Latte. Everything we had was delicious. Not a bad bite all around. So good in fact, we brought the same group plus our husbands back the next morning! On Monday we got: Birria Hash, Potato Tacos with Carnitas, Breakfast Burrito, Chicken and Waffles, plus the chocolate chip pancakes again. On this day we also got the Bump n Rind Booze Bag, the Mimosa Flight with Glitter Cotton Candy, and another single Mimosa. All the food and drinks were so tasty. In comparison, the breakfast burrito presentation left something to be desired, but that's only because everything else looked so fun. It tasted delicious. Literally my favorite brunch spot whenever I come to Phoenix, it's a must whenever I'm in town. The food is consistently amazing, the dj sets the perfect tone, the vibe is unmatched, and the drinks are easily some of the best around. They apparently have a Dj on the weekends and his music selection was spot on. I got a chance to meet the floor and general managers and they were both sweet and accommodating. I got the classic pancakes, which looked like they were oat based; delicious. A gentle crisp around the edges and soft in the middle. I also tried the Chicken Tinga with egg whites. Fun brunch place. Billionaires' bacon was a huge waste of money. It was very good but you only get 2 slices so would not order again. Ordered Carnitas hash to split with my husband and it was plenty of food for two. The salsa was super good. We added an a la carte order of biscuits and they were the real deal. I got scrambled eggs instead of the dippy and added birria. The tacos had that potato inside and were underneath the rest of the food, so you had to eat it with a fork. There weren't put together. I have never felt more compelled to leave a negative review than I do after our experience at this restaurant. I have also never felt so disrespected while trying to dine out with my family. From the moment we arrived, we felt unwelcome. We were told there would be a 30-minute wait, even though we had called ahead. That was completely fine, we were prepared to wait. After 30 minutes passed, I went inside to ask for an update, as we had two diabetics in our party that needed to eat fairly soon. Instead of offering any clarity, I was told they could not provide an estimated time. They said it could be another 30 minutes, or it could be an hour. There was no effort to be helpful or accommodating. When I explained that we had diabetics with us and needed a general idea of timing, I was told to "go next door and get a snack." WHO SAYS THAT????? That comment was incredibly offensive and dismissive. It showed a complete lack of empathy and basic customer service. There were three staff members involved in this interaction, I believe two hosts and one server. One of the hosts identified himself as Luis. He was so rude! At no point did anyone attempt to resolve the situation or show understanding. We were there to celebrate my cousin's birthday, she had always wanted to try this restaurant, and instead, the experience completely ruined her day. I will never return, nor will I recommend this restaurant to anyone. The level of disrespect and rudeness we experienced was unacceptable. If you have family members with medical conditions such as diabetes, I would strongly reconsider dining here. No customer deserves to be treated this way. read more

Staff was super attentive and friendly, explaining the drink menu and showing us the "build your own bloody" bar. Water arrived quickly while we perused the menu.
