Mongolian beef bowl (or so I believe. lol)

*Dined 4.11.26: Came for brunch with 2 others. We ordered the Moco Loco, Mongolian Beef bowl & I had the breakfast burrito. ALL delicious. Plenty of free parking at this location though you may walk a bit based on time of day. Service was good, friendly & attentive staff. It was the first time in for my 2 friends & we all enjoyed our meals and the drinks. We all plan to return!

I was a great day a few weeks ago when the weather was perfect and sat outside. Service was quick and good. The food was the star.

Fun modern tiki bar to meet up with friends! Tropical themes for food, decor and drinks. Great happy hour!! Yummy tacos and bowls. Unfortunately a lot of spicy items that can't be changed. Does get quite loud and very busy at times, especially happy hour. Reservations highly recommended.

My husband and I came here on our first date and now we come back when we're in town for our first date anniversary to celebrate another year. This year we brought our 3 year old along. Service was fast, friendly and on top of everything! Drinks were STRONG which we were not anticipating. Edamame was really spicy or we're just weak to real spice. All entrees were hot, delicious and fresh tasting. We love the atmosphere, the weather was perfect in our booth next to the rolling window wall, so we weren't hot or cold. We love coming here!

Ahi tuna tacos - so much tuna ! And delicious!

I've been to the other Hulas and was excited to try the new high street location. I was surprised that on a Sunday afternoon it wasn't busy at all. But it made it great for me and my friends because we were able to sit in the tiki room that's just off the main dining and it was just us in there. It had wonderful vibes and ambience and decor. Our server was great always checking on us even though we took a while to order everything, she always repeatedly checked in and never made us feel rushed. We ordered the chicken lettuce cups and the potstickers as an appetizer and both were great. I definitely will order the potstickers every time I go. I ordered the Aji tuna tacos as my main course with french fries instead of the rice and beans and the tacos were wonderful! I can't believe how much fish they put in there. And the sauce on top was just the right amount and flavor. And I couldn't have been more happy with how many fries they gave me for my side. Out of all the hula's, I would definitely come back to this one. It's a great location!

So this is another central Phoenix favorite. I love the vibe inside of here. It gives summer all around.. I love to come here for their happy hours and order a variety of appetizers . I can honestly say I've never had a bad dish here. Everything is so delicious and uniquely crafted. I can't say that I feel like the service is not overly nice here but it's not bad, to me it's the perfect amount of friendly and efficient, but not overbearing. Let's talk about the cocktails they are delicious and Popeye, the sailor man strong lol!!!

This visit we had Tia and it really makes a HUGE difference when your server is engaged, fun and super excited about what she does!! Our meals were great and we purchased some glasses as well!! We will definitely come again!!

It was a very busy for Wednesday night but we found 2 seats at the bar. Enjoyed HH all night and munched on the lettuce wraps and ceviche with our cocktails. The blood orange martini was delicious. Not overly sweet.

Our food was very tasty. I loved the mild , white flaky fish . Our server was very courteous and attentive. I loved the back room that we sat in. It reminded me of Tiki bars. Lovely decorations.

LOVE the outdoor patio seating!! Perfect for most of the year here in AZ and the weather was fabulous today! Definitely a great atmosphere and fun vibes next to other restaurants with other patio areas. We had a burger and the jerked Caribbean chicken and we really enjoyed it all! We had so much fun and our server was fabulous! I would definitely like to go back and try something new next time and we really enjoyed the area/location on High Street!

I do want to note that the restaurant did handle our issue post-review very nicely and I give them credit for that, I appreciate it.

Fish tacos and famous mai tai
    Kimberly H.

Had a happy hour after work with some colleagues and this is a beautiful place. Staff was amazing and attentive. I loved the appetizers more than the entrees! The fish nuggets were so good! I asked the wait staff which cocktail was the most asked for and she recommended the Mai Tai. Whew! It was potent! I definitely couldn't drink the entire glass! I circled the area to find parking and not being familiar with the surroundings, it was challenging but fortunately for me, a perfect timed customer departure landed me a space right in front of the restaurant.

Even waiting outside for our reservation we were having a great time feeling like we were at a 1930's train stop. I heard about this place from my brother, and went a couple of years ago, and could not wait to take my boyfriend here. The service is absolutely PHENOMENAL! They walk you through the menu, the experience, as well as guide you if you're not sure what you want to drink. We ordered several drinks and they were all so creative and fun! My favorite was the tea with the lit lavender "cigarette." It added to the ambiance and overall experience. We also ordered the trip of snacks tray and several other drinks. Although this place is pretty pricey, there is nowhere is like it and it's WELL worth the cost! Get reservations early and don't skip this amazing, creative, and inventive bar!

When we visited, the theme was 1960s Harlem, with jazz music from the era playing in the background and images of Harlem passing by the train windows, creating the illusion that you were traveling through the neighborhood. The cocktails were excellent, especially the dirty martini, which came with their house-marinated olives that were absolutely delicious. It's no surprise this place has been voted one of the 50 Best Bars in the World for two years in a row. If you're in the area, this is definitely a must-try.

I kicked off our 90-minute experience with the Blackberry Yuzu Margarita, and it was the perfect balance of crisp, sweet, and tart. I wrapped things up with the Macadamia Nut Piña Colada which, fittingly for being "aboard" a pirate ship, was delightfully rum-forward without being overly sweet. In between cocktails, we shared a couple of snacks that were such a welcome addition -- something you sadly don't always find at local speakeasies! The service was top-notch thanks to our bartender Rocco, whose knowledge and attention to detail made the experience even more fun. Between the creative cocktails, immersive vibe, and fantastic hospitality, Undertow is easily one of the coolest spots around!

Of course, this place is known for its cocktails, so naturally they should be great--but trust me, I've been to several cocktail-only establishments that were lackluster. Absolutely NOT the case here. You could literally put all the pages of the menu on a wall, throw a dart, and whatever you hit would be delicious and interesting in its own right. The place is a little small, but honestly, that's what I love about it. It feels cozy in all the right ways. It's also very relaxing, floating along the sea with some delightful surprises here and there. We ordered several drinks, but one that's not on the menu (and they do make it) is the Pearl Diver, which is magnificent here. The mixologists and servers are all amazing and should be proud of themselves for bringing such an experience to Gilbert.

The staff was knowledgeable and took the time to explain the menu, making the experience approachable even for a first-time visitor. I decided to try one of their signature kava beverages, and I was pleasantly surprised by how intriguing and complex the drink was. The flavor profile was unlike anything I had experienced before--earthy, bold, and distinctive in a way that felt both adventurous and refined. More importantly, the effects were exactly as described. As I enjoyed my drink, a gentle sense of relaxation gradually settled in, leaving me feeling calm, centered, and remarkably at ease without any sense of heaviness. What I appreciated most was how the experience encouraged mindfulness and connection. Lacuna offers something refreshingly different from a traditional coffee shop or cocktail lounge, creating an environment where conversation flows naturally and relaxation takes center stage. Whether you're curious about kava for the first time or already familiar with its calming properties, Lacuna Kava Bar is absolutely worth a visit. The combination of a welcoming atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, and a truly distinctive beverage experience makes it a standout destination. I left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and looking forward to my next visit.

Small on the inside, but had a classy but casual feel. Since we did the murder mystery there was also a preset menu which was cool. The food was okay, but will be returning back for the drinks more than the food. The murder mystery game was a nice way to get everyone in the bar involved. Essential a real like clue or who done it game. Very interesting but also can be a bit distracting if your goal was to come out and have some drinks and peace out at your leisure. While it is a very cool idea, I feel that more customers would be able to come and go on these days and not be turned out because a reservation was not made.
