She recommended several different shoes as well as socks which might help. Then I went into the store and had help from Katy and Veronica. They had already picked out a few shoes for me in my size. I needed good support and cushioned shoes. They have lots of brands and a very large store. Katy was awesome and made it very easy to find the perfect shoes, along with some good socks! My husband took our two boys for buying a new shoes. Each one will at least cost 100 bucks. My ten year old needed to use the bathroom so bad and my husband was trying to explain to her that he does understand it's not for public but he is a child that needs to use a restroom. Anyway she start yelling so loud and mean. They left the store and we won't go back there again. Just lost at least 200 dollars. Don't recommend this store not nice with kids at all. read more

Purchased shoes online for the first time from Famous Footwear recently and did not hesitate to, because of being able to return to a physical store if need be. Received my items in a timely manner, having arrived in two separate shipments. They both happened to be a bit too large. I happened to have time this week to drop by. I had always passed by this store, but never been inside until this past week. Usually I will shop at either Nordstrom Rack or Tilly's, and Famous Footwear just happens to be sandwiched by both. Upon entering, an employee greeted me and asked if I was returning items, seeing that I had shoe boxes in my hand. They mentioned that they could try to find smaller sizes for me if they were available at other stores, but they weren't. The return process was quick and smooth. There were a few shoe styles on sale and I walked around, after my returns, to take a look - just to browse since I did not need any shoes. There is something different about seeing and trying shoes in-person at a store than purchasing online. There were many different styles to shop for. Women's shoes are on the right side of the store (entering through the front entrance), and men's shoes are on the left side. Plenty of parking in front of the store. read more

We were greeted when we walked inside and we were looking for some comfortable athletic shoes. We were directed to check some out on the back wall. The store was organized, plenty of room to walk and there were hand sanitizers up front. We were able to try the shoes on. We were helped by an associate and she was very nice. The ASICS gel venture 7 (extra wide) was exactly what we were looking for. It's comfortable!! You have 90 days to return it so that's a good amount of time. read more

The two gals (Kaylii & Tiffany) working here were so incredibly helpful & truly went above & beyond. Kaylii was very knowledgeable about styles & sizing & what they had in inventory, our son is at that in between sizing of bordering on youth & men's sizes & we were struggling until they helped us out. Avoid this location. I had a curbside order to pick up. The employee said they'd be right out. 15 mins later I called back to see how much longer and was told it could be hours because they can't leave the store when customers are inside and if I want my order I should just come in to get it. When I was trying to explain that I was trying to avoid getting out because my sleeping child was in the car, she hung up on me. I had my husband pick the shoes up and she violently shoved the shoes in a bag and aggressively gave them to him. Worst customer service I've received in a long time. Hand sanitizer is by the door as soon as you walk in. The store was clean and well stocked. Wasn't hounded or bombarded by the staff. I was able to look around peacefully. Not sure how long the promotion is going but they are doing buy one get one half off. I was rang up by the assistant manager and his name was Nick. He gave me great customer service today. He signed me up for the rewards program so I could get the deal - which was greatly appreciated. I got a 50$ pair of Vans for 25$. The pair of shoes I picked up only had one in the box and the other shoe was a mismatch - meaning another customer took the wrong size. Nick was apologetic and offered to have the correct size shoes shipped to my house for free. I felt he went above and beyond to correct the slight inconvenience and his humble attitude has made me a future returning customer. Thanks Nick! Hope you get a raise! read more

What an awful place!! Manager is a complete bitch. Bought a pair of shoes for my son for X-mas, he did not like them. I went to return them as according to the receipt I had until Jan. 31st. The lady at the register looked at them and said they were worn. These shoes have NEVER been worn! I asked about the manager, she was the manager. I told her I would never shop here again. Also filed a complaint with corporate. Don't bother shopping there-they do not have good business ethics. read more

First off it has a decent collection of shoes and the store is clean.... However customer service is complete trash; the female associate had us wait for 20 minutes because they couldn't find the appropriate box for a pair of shoes....all the waiting just to check their inventory...something that could have been done at a different time without having to make the customers wait. My daughter and I went into the Chino Hills store looking for one pair of shoes. We immediately received a friendly "welcome" greeting from Sam and Marco. They were stacking shelves, but noticed that I was looking something, and offered assistance. Instead of just pointing, Marco walked me right to the brand I was looking for. They both checked back with us several times, and when he saw I was holding multiple boxes, Marco offered to take them to the front for me. We ended up buying five pair of shoes in total. Marco even made the checkout process fun! I don't go out shopping very often and wasn't completely comfortable with the idea of going, but between the cleanliness of the store and the welcoming, friendly demeanor of the employees, I won't hesitate to go back. (Although, really...after buying five pairs of shoes, what excuse am I going to use for getting more?) read more

Terrible Customer Service...employee "Chris" not helpful at all. We explained to him that we had ordered 4 shoes out of store stock and when we wanted to pick them up we received an "order cancellation" notice...when we asked about 2 specific shoes being in stock his response was, "Um, we should". When asked if he could check and we could hear him speaking to his "manager" in the background and heard, "tell them to call corporate". I wish I was able to get the managers name as well to report the comment. No one in the store was interested in assisting us, we had to call the corporate offices and reported the encounter. The representative was extremely helpful, too bad the front line associates don't share sincere helpfulness to their customers. Training needs to be improved. Thanks for your time. read more

Worst ever customer service firstly no one to help you with the shoe sizes and then some shoes turn out to be defective and then when you go for a return they always have a reason that its worn or you bought it far ago we can't exchange them or not even store credits.The people working are rude too. If you tried on the shoes in the store on the carpeted floor before you buy, you can't return it. Offered to lick the bottom of the shoes didn't help! Managers think they are responsible employees! I've been going to Famous Footwear for about eleven years to pick up Converese and Nikes and the occasional heel. Today, I went to pick up a new pair of Nikes. I opened up the ONLY size nine pair they had and as soon as I opened it my nose was overwhelmed with the stench of feet. I checked the bottom of the shoes to find dirt and GRASS on the soul. GRASS! Like they didn't even bother cleaning the presvioulsy returned shoes before putting them back on the shelf. So not only do they not clean the outside of returned shoes but they don't bother making sure whether or not the post-run smell of feet sweat was present or not. I will not be returning to this Famous Footwear or ANY Famous Footwear stores any time soon. read more

Buyer beware!! Famous Footwear does NOT stand behind their shoes. I purchased a pair of Nike shoes at the Chino store & within 2 weeks they had holes. I went into the Chino store with the receipt within 28 days of purchase & the Manager informed me the shoes can NOT be returned they had been worn. She circled on the receipt that worn shoes can NOT be returned. I informed her I know they have been worn, they are defective see the holes & we would like our money back. She told me Corporate does NOT allow her to return worn shoes!! I contacted corporate, the manager lied to me! She can return defective shoes within 60 days of purchase with the receipt. I figure my return will screw up her bonus! I guess they don't want my business. read more

I purchased a pair of Sketchers for my husband and after 6 months the stitching started to come out. When I tried to return the shoes due to the manufacturers defect to this store the clerk refused an exchange/return because of the 30 day policy. I can understand a policy for returning used merchandise but this was a case of a defect in the shoe. When asked about the defect, the clerk said their shoes are only guaranteed for 30 days no matter what the issue. This is concerning since I have had other quality issues before with Famous Footwear. Famous Footwear carries many high-end shoes and the thought that you have to return them if there is a problem within 30 days is outrageous. I now no longer shop at Famous Footwear but instead shop at Retailers that back their products. read more
