I feel good. My feet especially. And, my pockets. Two pairs of shoes- ASICS gel venture 7 and Nike air max oketo for women's- $123++ with tax. Not bad at all. The Nike's are light and my favorite color!! And, on sale. Ok, I love sales. The Asics were more meant to help my right foot, yes, years of wearing heels has an outcome- bunions. I stand on my feet a lot at work so I really need comfortable shoes. Hope this one does the trick. My first ASICS. I usually wear Nike's and new balance. Very helpful and friendly staffs. I didn't get the gentleman's name who went to get 7.5 ASICS. He also offered to order it online for me if they didn't carry the size. Thank you for your help. I was greeted at the door. The cashier, Harley checked both pairs of shoes if they were the right sizes before ringing me up. Thank you. Excellent customer service. I would go here to shop for shoes in the future. Located inside Sunrise Mall. There's Macy's, J.C. Penney, 5 other shoes stores... yup, food mall, movie theater and if you drive around and across there's beaybuy, michaels, Starbucks, Barnes and nobles, Bed, bath and body works and a lot more. Golden 1 branch is just there and chipotle and Panda Express for quick bites. You can't go wrong at this mall. And yes, plenty, I mean pleeeeenty of parking spots to choose from. I went in to pickup a online order and got a magic show. The sales associate said hi when I went. I looked around without being harassed. The clearance area was clean and actually organized. Grabbed a pair of shoes for my son, headed to the register and the cashier was very nice. After he was done ringing me up and bagging up my order he offered to do a magic trick for me. He then pulled out a deck of cards, shuffled them. I picked a card and put it back in the deck. He picked the card I chose like 3 times. Cool and weird. I'll take it bc nowadays it typical for cashier to not even look customers in the eyes or try to make any real connection with people, or even try to hide the fact that they hate their job and you're bothering them. Honestly I used to like famous footwear but now I've had two bad experiences. 1. went to the store in broadstone, found the shoe I want but one shoe was 6.5 the other was 6. I asked if they could see if the outlets location had it. It took them five minutes and they were extremely stupid the guy kept pressing the wrong thing, finding the wrong shoe, and others. 2. Called the sunrise location said they had it and put it on hold. we came and the store was closed and said "back in 30" It would've been nice if she told us on the phone. I only got there about 10mins after calling. So it's safe to say that famous footwear employees need to be better at their job. read more

Beware beware beware. Went into store the other day to return some socks. The item was new and I had the receipt, however a middle aged woman working that day denied my return. She did not greet me upon entering store and actually seemed visibly bothered that she had to get off her phone to help me. Things got worst, aside from her lack of customer service she proceeded to deny my return. Stating that they "don't return socks here". I was flabbergasted, this clearly contradicts the return policy stated on the company website. I spent well over 15 mins at the store trying to reason with her but she continued to deny my return and told me to contact her store manager, Brett. This was extremely frustrating and lack of respect to me as a customer. I wish I would've gotten her name but she stated to be the assistant manager on duty, middle aged white woman. I really hope there is no racial profiling behind this incident but this whole experience has definitely left a sour taste in my mouth as a consumer. Imagine not being able to return something at a store within the given return window time frame. I will be contacting corporate to see what they have to say regarding this matter. I write this review to alert potential customers that this is the type of business being conducted here. I will never shop here again. read more

I cannot believe how poor the customer service is here. My boyfriend brought me here for a specific pair of shoes. We drove 45 minutes to get to the store...and only went there because the Folsom store said they had a specific pair of shoes. We purchase the shoes and go back to our home. As I'm unpacking them I notice that both shoes are for RIGHT feet. Seriously! I called them back and not only do they not have one single left foot shoe to replace it they were rude about it. So now we have to take another 45 ride (one way) to get our money back. It's my birthday and we made a special trip for these converse that I've been wanting. When I explained on the phone what a MAJOR inconvenience this is...they made it clear they do not care. I was contacted regarding this issue. I am completely satisfied with the way they handled it and followed up with me. I can tell that the company does care and they are sending me a replacement pair of shoes. I appreciate all that they did to make it right and will go back to shop. read more

This is just the first of the several Yelp reviews i am going to make. My husband and i (and our children) have gone to EVERY store in our area, hoping to find ONE...JUST ONE person who works at Famous Footwear who might have half a brain. After going to THREE separate locations...we STILL have not been able to get the Nike shoes we want. This Sunrise Mall location not only couldn't help us order the shoes,(they are online order only) but as a "sorry"...they gave us a $10 off coupon...that says it CANNOT be used for online orders. Gee thanx...for horrible customer service and for handing us a coupon that we cant use. Wow... I will also be reviewing Marconi and Roseville stores... The story does not get any better. read more

What is it about shoes that makes me want to own a closet the size of a house? I don't own enough for that but I like them enough to want a closet that big. Famous Footwear has a little of everything, sneakers, flats, heels, boots... Their prices are a little up there but the selection is pretty decent. Customer service is good too. Any time I've walked in I've been greeted immediately and if I look a little lost they always ask if they can help me. At a shoe store I like being asked if they can help me find something because I may fall in love with a pair of shoes and not see it my size so YES, I need help, STAT! Shoes for everyone! read more

Was in on 11/24/16 shortly after opening There was one employee in there. She was behind the register never greeted me when I arrived. I must have been trying on shoes for half an hour. She never came from behind the counter to ask if I needed any help. She provided great service once I picked out what I wanted and went to the register. read more

I was at sunrise mall looking everywhere for a specific color and size boot - last minute Christmas shopper I was at my third store of the night close to closing but received excellent customer service from Mike. He helped me find the shoes I wanted and was so very pleasant during my entire time there. I was very impressed by his eagerness to help me and others that entered the store with finding the items we all needed. I would have like to give 0 stars here but you have to pick one to post, they're just not worth 1 star. I hope no one has to deal with Steve the assistant Manager at the Sunrise location, by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Not only was he rude and unprofessional, I felt like he was running some kind of scam on me. When I tried to exchange the boots that I bought for my daughter, with a receipt, same brand, same size, we just needed a different color he refused to let me exchange the boots, said his register will not let him do that type of exchange, could not get a better explanation out of him, absolutely the stupidest reason I have ever heard. I really wanted to bring back everything I bought there for my kids, spent about $500. I'm a loyal customer, shop there all the time but I will not be shopping there anymore. I ended up going to Big 5, they had the same boots, less expensive and way better service. read more

I am so impressed with Michael from the Famous Footwear in the Citrus Heights Sunrise Mall. Both times I was in this store, Michael was approachable and he went out of his way to be of service. The first time in the store I was trying to find a specific sandal that my mother-in-law had previously purchased. Michael recognized the sandal and knew that it was on clearance, but after spending quite a bit of time searching for it, he still could not find it. After he gave us some advice on how to find it online, we left the store and were perusing nearby. A few minutes later, Michael came out to let me know that he had found the sandal and could look it up online in order to order me the correct size. I could not believe that he had continued searching for the shoe even after I left and went to the effort to find me. My second time in the store I was trying to exchange a different pair of shoes my mother-in-law purchased for another size. Again, Michael was friendly and very helpful. He gave advice on size and color and called other stores to see if they had the shoe in stock. Michael always seemed eager to help and never once made us feel like a burden. I will continue to shop at Famous Footwear and recommend it to my friends, and Michael is the reason why. read more
