This is a great store. It is well-stocked with a great selection of products. The staff is very kind, knowledgeable, and friendly. They are not pushy, but if you have questions, they are happy to help. The lady I talked to was super nice and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. I have come in here several times for various things (hair dye, gel polish, fake lashes, etc). The prices are great...especially compared to places like Ulta. The clearance section has amazing deals, but selection is hit or miss. Luv luv luv that they have a generic knock off of my favorite Sebastian hairspray for a fraction of the price (ask for it...its almost hidden). They have an automatic coupon when you spend $25. I always seem to not have it in my purse when I get the spontaneous urge to stop in for supplies, but the employees willingly look up my account/past purchases to get me the discount. Which brings me to the service... I read the other reviews and I am irritated when people give a one star review when they are the ones having a bad day. It's really a shame. That said, my experiences with the service have been the complete opposite. I am always greeted, asked if I need help, and given honest advice and opinions of products. They even nailed the color match on my dye. I realize that the girls that work here tend to be in their early 20's, so the unprofessional comment-on-your-coworker-behind -her-back conversations have been annoying to hear, but overall the service at this location has been pretty good. read more

Stopped by to purchase hair color and did my best to remember what the salesperson at another Sally location (I wasn't ready to take the color plunge yet) told me about what would work best for my hair. Angelica greeted me as soon as I entered the store and asked what brought me in today. I launched into the loose details as I remembered them, and she fished my thought and took me to the product I was looking for. I asked questions and different products in the same brand that appeared to potentially be "better," but Angelica assured me what I selected was appropriate for my hair. She made additional recommendations to make my hair coloring experience successful, without spending lots of money. Wow petty cashier has nothing better to do than harass the disabled woman with a face mask. I've been here 20 minutes talking with the associate with burgundy/purple hair who saw me put items in my carry bag because I can't use a hand cart & they don't have push carts for disabled but w/o talking to her coworker walks up to me as I'm down the isle buying items and says "did you just put something in your bag?" "Yeah I did like the other items your co worker had me pick for my hair type maybe you should talk to her rather than harass me because you aren't watching the female with two kids who could easily pocket things more than me with a bag that's 3ft by 3ft I got in Hawaii. Can I just scream ADA violation for harassment just because I'm wearing a mask for my auto immune disease. Won't be shopping here again that's for sure and will be posting on my non profit charity sites about this in equal treatment of customers. Discrimination against the ones wearing masks and no carts to push for those like myself who just had back surgery. And again just now another employee walks up "here's a hand basket for you" and I replied "yeah it's not ada Accommodation compliant I have JRA in my hands to not grip it and Thoracic Outlet Syndrome on my right side to not carry. Can't use that's why I have a bag over my left shoulder your coworker just asked" now being harassed twice in less than 4 minutes while being stared at every time they walk buy. (I have more jewelry on from my parents as gifts than you make in a few months even if one is the manager, please I have $130 worth of stuff in my bag for rude service) Seriously I spent more than employees make in a day to be discriminated for wearing a mask for my auto immune disease that I even have a medical letter but because of HIPPA you violated my federal medical rights and think it's ok. Sorry you missed the handicap placard on the car parked in the spot with the wheelchair in the back but didn't my placard in hand and my cane I used give you common sense that I have medical conditions, no I don't as illegally forced to validate them which is exactly what HIPPA protects us for and will be filing complaints. I let Staples go but this won't be. You have not legal right to do what these employees did, & they will be shown the examples of their wrong illegal ways and made examples of for others to see on social media everywhere. read more

I like this beauty supply no matter where they are. Any time I walk in, I know exactly what I'm looking for but if I happen to have any questions there are a few people there that are sweet and helpful. Discounts with membership! Hair, nails, makeup! They have a great selection on products and gadgets for you to experiment. If you mess it up, just go back because I'm sure that unless you messed up to the point of baldness, they have the products to help your hair recover. I work in the beauty industry myself and service like this should never be tolerated. 6976 SUNRISE BLVD CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA 95610 I was in the Sally location this evening, approx 5:30 pm. There was less than 5 customers in the store. There was a young "grungy" "hipster" type girl at the register, cashiering, and later I saw an older woman as well. I was never greeted as I entered the store and still after nearly 15-20 minutes of looking at, opening and handling a few curling irons, I still was never acknowledged. There were even multiple times from both employees I was passed by in the aisle way, still not even one word being said to me. Finally after looking over the information/boxes/selection I went to find an employee to ask about possible other customer reviews. I tried to get some information based on a curling iron I had had in the past and one I had just received as a Christmas gift, which I am wanting to exchange due to manufacture defect (my hair gets caught in the spirals). The older woman continued to try to tell me about other curling irons when I had specifically asked her about 3, yet when I tried to ask her again, telling her about my fabulous reviews of the one I had in the past (purchased at a Sally store nearly 8 YEARS AGO) that I loved, she once again told me she was not sure. Also, she told me I would have to get the receipt from the gifter in order to exchange it. I told her I did not want a refund, but a simple exchange for a more expensive product and was still told She would not give an exchange on any electrical items with out a receipt, and the product would have had to have been purchased in the last 30 days. I have been a shopper at a number of Sally stores over the past 10+ years and have NEVER experienced such UNfriendly and UNwelcoming service. I can honestly say I will never return to this Sally store. read more

I actually stopped coming to this store because the employees were just downright rude. NOW...new staff and they're great. Marissa and Chris were super helpful and very knowledgeable about products. What an amazing experience! This was my first time going into a Sally Beauty Supply. I was told by a friend to come here for my hair dye. The second I walked in I was helped and shown everything I needed to achieve my jet black hair dreams. I also needed new lashes, they have an awesome selection at very competitive prices! I was able to leave the store with my hair dye and supplies with two sets of lashes for about $35. Thank you for an awesome experience. I'll definitely be back. read more

COMPLAINT for STORE #3830 (Citrus Heights, CA). Extremely upset and very very agitated! I got the email about 50% additional off red tag (clearance) and was super excited. After work I went to the Roseville, CA store and there was only a small amount of clearance but overall I had a good experience there. On my way home I decided to go to the Citrus Heights (#3830) store and "almost" had an okay experience. First I was going through the clearance gel nail polish and one must have been open and got all over my hands...gross and sticky. I had tissues in my purse so I cleaned it up quick. I decided to look though another section of nail polish clearance and one of the employees (Woman A) told me that all red tags where 50% (I already knew this but thank you for telling me). So I picked out 8 awesome clearance nail polishes and got to the register where Girl B checked me out. About 5 minutes before I checked out there was a screaming toddler and I mean "screaming" near the registers. The store is not that big so it really would have not mattered where this kid was. I have very sensitive ears so I just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible (the mother wasn't doing anything to calm this child down). Girl B told me the total and I honestly didn't really think about it because I was way distracted by the unruly toddler. I paid and left the store. I was almost home (live around the corner) and decided to check my receipt and was very glad I did. I noticed the cashier never took the additional 50% off. At this moment I was agitated because my bill should have been half the price (total was almost $25- should have been around $12). I drove back to the store and went back to Girl B who checked me out. By the way the screaming toddler was still there and still screaming. I told her the total didn't seem right and that she didn't add the additional 50% off. The girl looked at me puzzled and said she didn't know the nail polish was half off. Thank god Woman A was standing next to her and told her, "Um, yes all clearance/red tags are 50% off". Girl B was like oh and starting giggling like it was no big deal. Really that pissed me off, but I'm sorry but 50% off something is a huge deal to me. Girl B then told me she would return everything I would have to buy it again. I asked how long it would take for it to hit my bank because I already checked my account and was charged the $24 and she said a couple of days. This agitated me even more because I really don't have that much money to spare (that's way I brought stuff on clearance and not full price). It was my birthday on 10/1/14 and I wanted to treat myself. Girl B tried for a couple of minutes fudging with her register to try and to fix this problem (still acting like it wasn't a big deal). Again thank god for Women (A) who took over and was able to just refund me -12.92 instead of returning everything. This whole experience could have been avoided if Girl B would have done her job properly and taken the Additional 50% off. I know it is only $12 but again that is a huge amount to me. What upsets me even more was Girl B's nonchalant attitude. I didn't get Girl B or Woman A's name. I came in to look at some hair color options and was greeted by a thick darker skin girl with glasses on. I told her of my issues I was having with my hair and she states that it's probably my own fault that my products aren't working. While she's blaming me for one of their products not working, she's leaning all the way forward on the counter as if she's so bored by talking to me. She was very rude and smug as if me walking in to the store is such and inconvenience to her. She didn't even bother to help me with looking for what I needed. Just states, "Its down on the left", keep in mind I have no idea if it's on the back wall, the middle isle, or where ever. "Down on the left" could literally mean anywhere in the store. I decide to just skip out completely on the hair stuff and just pick up some make up. She can't see me and decides to start gossiping about other employees while I'm around the corner. I decide to just get my stuff and check out. I walk up to the registers where the rude employee is standing and another thin girl with black hair and glasses. There's another woman in front of me asking about their other stores having a product that they don't. The short thin girl with glasses decides to have the rude employee assist the woman in front if me, so that she can get me checked out. Once nice employee hands the paper from the woman to the rude employee she rolls her eyes and takes the paper. Rude girl tells woman in front of me that she doesn't have the store number so she needs to get on her phone and Google the number for her. Ummmm.....you work here, ITS YOUR JOB! You're here to do a service for someone else! Not the other way around! All in all she ruined the experience. The short thin girl with black hair and glasses was very sweet and helpful. I don't even see how the rude girl was even hired here. Horribly rude and condescending mannerisms. Hope she won't be here for long. read more

went in to buy some shears for someone, next day to decided to return them because they already bought some shears, as i walk in with the shears unopened in the bag with the receipt i was told i cant return them do to sanitation reasons but it says on the receipt you can withtin 15 days with the receipt , which i explained to the rude workers and shes said its corporate policy and said they wont change the wording on the receipt and we can call the corporate office with a smug attitude. so i called another sallys and to find out their return policy and they said the same thing and also every store has different return policy. interesting how all stores have different policies when its a "corporation" i believe every franchised store can be different but sallys isnt a franchise which is noted on their website. so i called the corporate office and explained how everything went then they had me on hold to call that store, then the store said i didnt have a receipt with which i told the spokes person i did and said they cant return it due to sanitary reasons, so i came back returned it got my refund and if their is cameras there it will show evidence i did have the receipt so obviously they girl was lying to and tried to do a bait and switch which is sad so beware of shopping at that location or others and i hope this helps others read more
