Kohl's is a hit and miss for deals. Also for their customer service. They stopped allowing calling to make credit card payments over the phone. I need to go into the stores to make credit card payments. I usually stop off at their customer service counter. If the lines are really long at the check out counters. I am usually just running in to make a payment then I need to get out as my ride is outside waiting. A few weeks ago I had a lady help me that just didn't seem to want to be there. I said hello like I always do. Never even looked at me. I told her I needed to make a payment. OK..not personable at all. Maybe she usually works in the back. Believe me I understand being over worked and over stressed. Usually all the cashiers are very nice and helpful. read more

This place is ridiculous. I was told to do an Amazon return up at the front registers. I stood in line 20 minutes and then was told to go to the back to do an Amazon return. When I went back to the Amazon return area there was a huge line! Apparently the back Amazon return area is open 9-5! After 5 pm they can do Amazon returns at the register. So why couldn't they process my return at the front registers since I stood in line for 20 minutes?! This store is continuously inefficient and I thought I'd give it another chance, which was a mistake! read more

This is the 3rd time I have purchased something from Kohls and they have left the sensor tag on the item requiring me to go back to have it removed. When I got to the store and spoke to the cashier she didn't even verbally acknowledge that I said anything let alone apologize for the problem. When I went to exchange them at the store I picked them up at...I was told "we have one medium pair in the store....somewhere...hahaha"... When will I learn? Simply the worst. I only go in approximately once a year, have a ridiculous experience, and remember why. Bought some pants for new job, of course they weren't able to print a receipt so I got a guest receipt. I was assured this would work like a regular receipt and I had a year to return the items if I didn't need them. Fast forward to today, turns out I had six months to return them which was fine. I paid for the items using my debit card. Of course because I only have a gift receipt they can only refund me using a Kohl's gift card. Thanks for requiring me to spend my money there. J/k As some of you know Kohl's were sued for bait and switch tactics and what I mean by that they were changing prices constantly. When clothing or items were priced at a normal price they offered no discounts and when they had 10-30%off they were highjacking the prices way up. So basically they were playing price games with customers. I got fed up with their crap and stopped shopping here completely for 2-3 years. Now I'm coming back again, but when I do buy anything I go on my phone to do a price check. Example: I was looking at their Samsonite Luggage and they were priced the highest compared to the competition and even with 15-20% off it was even with Macy's. The only store that was priced lower was Walmart. What I like about this Kohl's is their excellent service 5 Stars! This price up & down game 2 stars. I was followed as I walked around in the store. When I got to the fitting room, I heard someone over the walkie talkie say "watch this guy going into the fitting room" I will admit that I had a lot of items, but that's how I shop. I get all of the colors in my size of each shirt/pants that I am interested in. As I go towards the fitting room, I see a girl come stand in the doorway not letting me past. I assumed that I was not allowed to bring in the electronic items that I had on top of my cart, which is understandable... But no, I was allowed to bring a total of five items at a time. I had probably 50 shirts, a few pairs of pants, and shoes (which I'm not allowed to bring in) How am I supposed to figure out what goes with what when I'm limited to five items?! I walked back and forth a few times until the girl left, then I did what anyone would do and took my cart (clothes only, left the expensive stuff outside) and I was approached by a man who want wearing any sort of "Kohl's" identification, although I knew he was loss prevention because he had been following me around and appeared to be taking pictures of me with his personal phone. I replied "come on, man. You know this is ridiculous, how the f*ck am I supposed to try all of this on when I have to walk back and forth narrowing it down" He responds "Get out of my store! If you're going to cuss at me you can leave" At this point he still hasn't identified himself He went on after that about how he's loss prevention and what he says goes and if I like it I can stay, if not, I can leave. He is just another wannabe cop who finally got some power and thinks he can bully people. I had a $500 budget for this trip, half of which was a toothbrush for a Christmas present.... Troy, if you're reading this, your loss prevention "officer" who is blonde and balding needs to reel it in quite a bit. Either he or the girl guarding the entrance could have easily counted my items and made sure I left with the same number and that whole thing would have just fine and you would have had an additional ~$500 on your sales for the day I have never been limited to what I bring into the fitting rooms at any Kohl's. I have never been commanded to leave a store (ESPECIALLY by someone who hasn't identified themselves, or for saying f*ck in a sentence because it is part of my vocabulary. I stopped in to return an item I had bought last summer. This store isn't as big as the one in Roseville but it's still Kohl's, and you get the same great service. Now, this return was a long shot, I had purchased some solar lanterns for my backyard at the end of summer last year. I tried it when I first bought them and they worked. I put them away and when I brought them out for this year, they didn't work. No matter how long I kept them out in the sun, they were dead! I hadn't kept my receipt or tags and I was skeptical but willing to try and see if they could give me some sort of credit for them. The return lady was skeptical, she called for backup to find my lanterns. The gal came over and looked up the product and, "win win!" She was able to find my lanterns! I was given store credit but I didn't care! I was so happy, I'm glad I didn't just throw them out. This is one of a list of reasons why I love Kohl's! read more

If they get to the front of the line still looking request they step aside and call next person up. I have returned items here twice and both times I was in and out within a matter of minutes. It is also just a few minutes from my house so that is another bonus. I grew up with Mervyn's as a kid and was sad to see it go! When Kohl's took it's place at this location, I was excited! Giddy! However having dropped in a few times, I noticed that the store is gimmicky. Lemme 'splain. So the store is littered with red signs proclaiming 50% off! 40% off! Additional blah blah off! You have to play this game whereupon you THINK you're getting a bargain when in reality after you figure out all the discounts, the price is like...normal. For instance, who in their right mind would spend $80 on a kid's Osh Gosh jacket?!? So 50% off that seems like the "normal" price. Is it a sale? Hmm....I wouldn't call it that. However if you open up their credit card you get an additional 15% off with their coupons. There are housewares, toys, cosmetics, jewelry, clothing, shoes, etc. etc. similar to what Mervyn's used to stock. Personally, I don't care too much for the styles here. I do like some of the Vera Wang line and found a blazer that was priced at over $85. Seemed kind of high for this type of store. Some people swear by this store, but I don't like to play the numbers game and have better luck at finding cuter clothes at Macy's anyway. read more

I'm pretty disappointed in Kohl's right now. I'm a long time customer of theirs and have a credit card through them. I was shopping yesterday and saw that they had gift cards, so I bought one for my brother-in-law for his birthday. I purchased a PlayStation gift card and nowhere did it say that it was not returnable before buying it. As I went to leave the store, I reached out to my mom about the gift card that I had purchased my brother-in-law. She told me that he didn't have a PlayStation, that he had an Xbox. So I went back to the store within 10 minutes of purchasing the gift card and was told there was nothing they can do for me. I could understand if the back was scratched off or if it was several days later but literally 10 minutes after buying it nothing could be done. I called back today to speak to the store manager. I spoke to the assistant manager Ashley. I was told maybe corporate could do something for me and to call them. It's really disappointing that the store that I go to often could not take care of this for me and now I'm on the hook for $50 on my Kohl's credit card for for a gift card that I can't use because I personally don't have a PlayStation. It's crazy that Khol's is willing to lose a customer over $50. This just tells me that they don't care about their customers. I won't be shopping here anymore. read more

Oh my.....the first thing we noticed when we came into this store on Sunday was the strong smell. We could not put our finger on it....it smelled liked old clothes or excessive perspiration. They really need to do something to make it go away. The selection of clothes and home goods was good....but the prices were obscenely over-priced. How slow can you go.... This is the worst experience I've ever had at Kohls. I was in line for an exchange for 45 minutes. There were four people in line ahead of me and twopeople completing exchanges or refunds. One teller helped one couple for the entire 45 minutes. The customer service representatives seemed too be under trained and struggling to complete each transaction. As i stood in line talking to my children about how ridiculous the wait was, I simultaneously heard another guy say "this is ridiculous". The store lacked a decent selection of items and sizes. Honestly don't think its actually down at this store, or the other one, but they just don't want someone standing around in the janky booth they have set up just for amazon returns here . It looks eerie. They have all those signs in their store just to guide people to the tiny amazon return booth in some random location. Just set up hours for the booth if you don't want employees just standing around and waiting for amazon returns. Sheesh. Or opt out. Well. At least I saw that they have affordable tall size gym tees... stock up on some zip up hoodies as well. I might come back to try them on. What a great experience I had on Saturday 1/8/2018. I ordered on line to pick up at this store to use up my Kohls Cash from Christmas, however, I received an email saying my order was canceled and my Kohls Cash would be refunded, but it would have expired that next day, not wanting to lose it, I decided to use it on an air fryer, I looked on line and found the one I wanted, it was available in the store. I should have bought it online because when I arrived at the store, they only hand the display left. I took it to customer service to ask if I could purchase it and even though the line was long (not Kohl's fault, there were two employee's working at the two available registers), the lady who helped me really went above and beyond to help me. I had explained to her that my original item purchased on line then canceled was the third time this had happened to me, and I'd just like to exchange my Kohls Cash for that display fryer. Store policy says I couldn't buy the display so the associate started searching via computer and phone to ensure that I wouldn't drive to another store unless someone was sure they had it in stock. No other store nearby did so I thanked her and stopped at the beauty section on my way out to see if anything peaked my interest. The associate at the jewelry counter as well as the associate where just as helpful at the associate at CS. Someone even went to "check the back" for an item I said I was interested in and found it! While waiting on the associate who went on the goose chase to come back, I mentioned to the make up consultant that I'd bought a pair of jeans didn't really fit right but I'd taken the tags of them wan wore them for about an hour while getting ready for work one morning and she said to bring them back. In the end I used my Kohls Cash and spent even more that the Kohls Cash, but I suspect that was Kohls plan all along. Anyway, I know it's a long review but many associates seemed more than willing to bend over backwards for me and they deserve a really good review. read more

I really like Kohls. They ALWAYS have some sort of sale going on in every department. Granted the original price is insane and by the time it's the sale price it's finally the price is should be. Although... I have to say, their clearance area is actually very well priced :) You just really have to look, really well. I have found a couple of cute tops priced just right. The store is organized, they have a good selection and their customer service is pretty good. The girls at the register seem to get genuinely excited when they tell you how much you saved. Horrible customer service and operations of this store. Made a purchase at the front counter and the cashier closed the purchase before realizing I wasn't given the sales price. So I then had to go to customer service in the back of the store to return one of the shirts. The returns cashier tells me I'll lose $10 Khols cash somehow when I never made his purchase with khols cash and i made the purchase less than 5 minutes ago at the front of the store. I then had to return my entire purchase then return to the front of the store the stand in line AGAIN and re-purchase my items. Completely unprofessional and ridiculous. Not happy. I'm not a fan of Khol's products and prices, but I've never had poor customer service before this visit at this location. I usually only shop there with my mom, who is like one of those crazy Khol's cash ladies from the commercials, buying hundreds of dollars worth of clothes and paying $30. But today I was lured in by the $10 off a $10 or more purchase coupon that arrived in the mail. I am sucker for "free" money with which to shop. My husband and I spent significant time wandering the store, trying to find something worth buying. We browsed men's jeans, women's clearance, intimates and browsed the home section twice. Although we saw many employees, not one even so much as smiled at us. The workers in the dressing room didn't even say a peep to me. And the bra section was a mess -- way too many bras packed onto the poles, some even hidden behind large signs. After the bras I tried on didn't fit, I didn't even try to look for a different size because the frustration wasn't worth it. When we finally settled on a a memory foam bath mat for our new home, it didn't ring up as the price the sign had shown. I should know, I checked it three times just to make sure I had the right price with the right size. I brought this up to the cashier, but she just sort of shrugged it off. Now, I admit I didn't push it because by this time I just needed to get out of the store. It was warm and my head hurt from the nauseating teeny-bopper pop they were playing. But I was pretty surprised the cashier didn't even offer to have someone check on the price, or apologize, or have one friendly word to me. But after taking the Khol's survey, it seems like she didn't do a lot of things she was supposed to. Apparently I "saved" $34, but that's only because the price was so ridiculously high to begin with. What a joke. read more

Always the best place to save money as long as you don't forget your coupons mailed to you and cash back certificates given with your precious purchase. The concept of the store is to attract consumers to keep coming back with this cash back and the mail out coupons. Now keep in mind this promotions are mostly on top of the already reduced price tag - and mostly with the exception of big brands like Levi's. oh and yeah you do have to use your kohls charge card to avail of the fabulously almost free merchandise. read more

Today however, I picked up a pair of sweats that looked great and were marked $9.99 on sale searched for a shirt to match finally found one I liked. when went to pay and the girl told me that the sweats were all mixed up on the rack and they were really $20 needless to say I sent it all back and really felt like it was all a huge waist of my day.
