    Black canvas Air Force One's.
    Scott T.

I left a review for this store several years ago that wasn't that complimentary. However, I came back today and had a pretty good experience, so it seems only right to update my review. I had recently gone to the Nike Clearance store over in Arden and left there pretty disappointed. They really didn't have shit, and the cool stuff that they did have wasn't in my size. I guess it's just one of those places that you have to come to on the right day. I was expecting to find some cool retros there. However, all I ended up finding were models I've never seen or heard of before in colorways that were complete trash. So, in hopes that I could find something better, I decided to drive out to the Folsom Outlets and give the Nike Factory store another chance. I'm glad I did. They actually have shoes people want here, unlike the spot in Arden. I saw Jordan's, Air Max, Penny's, and Air Force One's here, and they were all priced reasonably. I looked around and ended up finding a pair of black canvas Air Force One's that were pretty bad-ass and were priced at $109, which I felt was fair. I tried them on and knew they would be coming home with me. So I get to the register to pay, only to find out that the shoes were on sale and were actually 30% off the advertised price. Additionally, if I downloaded the Nike app (which is free to do), I'd get a bar code that would knock even more off the price. So I downloaded the app, got the code, and ended up walking out with them for $70. I can't complain about that. I gotta admit, this factory store really stepped its game up. The selection here is a lot better than it was years ago, and the prices seem more reasonable, too. If you're dead set on getting some Nike's, I'd recommend hitting this place up first, before spending more at Champs or Footlocker, or taking your chances (and possibly wasting your time) at the clearance store.

The Nike Factory Store in Folsom Premium Outlets is the only crewed store in this outlet mall. It is smaller than most of the Nike outlet stores. I think this is one of the reasons why they are so crowded! Nike outlet store was one of the first stores open when Folsom Premium Outlets was available more than 30 years ago. A lot of stores have come and gone. The Nike outlet is still there at the exact location. The store is smaller than most of the Nike outlet stores and even some of the regular Nike stores. The racks and shelves are very close together. I don't think I like to shop at this store for this reason! The cashier counter has three permanent check-out counters and two temporary check-out counters when swamped. But they still have long lines sometimes. You can't park your car in front of the store--Nike Factory Outlet is a little far away from any parking lots at the outlet mall. But the walkway is beautiful and comfortable.

Unless you are completely uninitiated, you know what you're getting in a factory store. The selection may be inconsistent, the crowds annoying, but the discounts can't be beat if you can track down what you are looking for in your size. I suppose my latest visit is colored by the fact that I got exactly what I was looking for. They have a number of shoes that represent the latest styles. I was able to find a few in my gigantic size (13) and made a purchase that I now enjoy whenever I exercise. The downside is that they usually don't have my size. A sales associate confirmed this, saying 12 and above is usually "the first to go." Speaking of sales associates, there are folks around but finding help is very hit or miss.

I enjoyed shopping at this store. The service was good and they have a good selection of shoes for my family at a good price.

Ahhhmazing customer service!…read more On a beautiful Saturday, I had decided to check out Gold Country Run + Sport in the El Dorado Hills Town Center. My GF was raving about the shoe selection and how great and knowledgeable the employees were in fitting sport shoes. When I walked in and started looking around there were no other customers (When I left it was getting busy.). A woman who looked pretty young came out and asked if I needed help. I instantly "kinda" mentally wrote her off as the employee who drew the short straw and got "Saturday" duty and probably knew nothing about shoes. Mea culpa:). Well... I was wrong! She ended up being one of the best persons I have talked to about walking and/or running shoes! She first measured my feet and we went from there. Honestly I did not know that much about the comfort level of a high end sport shoe until that day. What a difference in feel versus my Costco tennies!:) I must have tried on 10 pair of shoes. Finally narrowing it down to a Hoka, Clifton, wide. Ok now I am jazzed. I can hardly wait to start walking in these ultra comfortable shoes. I came in not knowing the difference between a hookah versus a Hoka:) So a big thank you to that young woman. I urge anyone looking for high end shoes, running apparel and, gear needs (Yes needs!) to visit, independently owned, Gold Country Run + Sport. Such individualized customer service. Seriously, I felt like a VIP. Great selection of everything. Inventory displayed professionally. Clean. Competitive pricing. My shoes were on sale. Woohoo! End of summer. I could not be happier with this Company... serving greater Sacramento right here in beautiful El Dorado Hills. Free parking, open 7 days a week, and all levels of fitness welcomed. What a find!

I told my mom I'd have them look up her measurements and we would get the same shoes we got before. This was the first fleet feet. I've been in that had more employees than customers, but after my experience, I completely understand. I went in and I ask a gentleman in a navy sweatshirt. I believe his name was Justin, but I was so upset when I left. I'm not quite sure if his name was Justin. He was a young kid under 25 with a navy shirt on. I ask him if he would look up my mother's account by her phone number. He said they only do email but he would try the name we went back-and-forth a lot. We tried my name, etc. I finally said let me go out to the car and get my mom's email address as she was waiting in the car for the shoes before I could do so the gentleman says to me that the computers between the fleet fees are not linked so it wouldn't matter unless I bought the shoes there which I found odd because I've gone to other fleet feet and they've been able to find my account so I could get the exact model of shoe that I had purchased before At this point, Mr. Navy man was finding this pretty freaking amusing and I was not. I said look I just like to buy my mother a pair of shoes and I'm sure there's something that can be done to figure out which shoes she had before they were either unwilling or unprepared to help with this situation which could've been as simple as calling up the elk Grove fleet fee to find this information so that the owner of this fleet feet could make a sale because I was ready to purchase a pair of shoes. Not only was the boy and his friends also working in the store finding this incredibly amusing I am not. I am sorry for the owner of the store because not only will I tell others about the store. I will never go into the store again and I have already contacted fleet feed corporate to let them know about my experience This store seem to be stocked with a lot of young people with no oversight and again I found it very odd that there were so many readily available employees as usually a fleet fee on the weekend is not for the faint of heart. There are usually so many customers in there, but I get why they were not in the store given my experience I was given the card for a manager named Rachel, but at this point, it doesn't matter because I would never step foot in the store again

The backstory is my…read morehusband has been dealing with Planter Facetious and has gotten some inserts at REI back in December and that got us through 4 grueling days of Disneyworld. Since then he's had flair ups now and then, but nothing compared to this weekend. We walked 8 miles over 2 days in South Lake Tahoe and he was feeling it. Last week he was having a conversation with is coworker who is a runner until she got planter factious. That got talking to him talking about his foot issues to. His coworker suggested we get some of these really tacky shoes that looks like crocs living on a billow. According to her they are supposed to be helpful and at the same time you wouldn't want to be caught dead in them. In their ad they were referred to as recovery shoes. With his cowered suggestion he was finally open to exploring the new shoe option. Previously I tried to turn him to getting some new shoes at REI but, he thought the inserts were good enough so I let the subject drop. I did some research on the shoes his coworker suggested and read mixed reviews on Reddit and other sites. He's in so much pain that we're willing to try anything. Sadly, they don't sell this brand at REI so I talked him into going to REI and giving something they have in stock a try. When I had Planter Facetious my girlfriend turned me to HOKAs. Those weren't an instant cure, but they got me on my way. So, I suggested he give them a try for a daily shoes and another shoe aka a house shoe. From what I have been told you shouldn't go barefoot when you have Planter Facetious. When we got to REI we started our search for a house shoe, the ones his coworkers suggested looked more like an house shoe than a real daily shoe. When I was searching for reviews on the shoes his coworker suggested I got a lead on OOFOS. They were recommended by one of the reviewers that didn't find the other shoes helpful. OOFOS are located in the shoes section on racks near the rubber Birkenstocks. They had lots of OOFOS. Both slide and thong options. He tried both on and went with OOriginal Sandals, the thong styles they were more comfortable. Next for the hard part. Searching for a daily shoe. He tried on many models. Two different styles of HOKAs and Brooks. After walking around the store for around an hour he settled on the Brooks. They are dark grew with a muted red swish on it. Very stylish in it's own way. He just bought a pair of dress shoes that look fabulous and he's sad to not be able to wear them now. Too bad as I really like them. Hopefully after he recovers he'll be able to wear them again. I've been going on a few years now using my HOKAs as my main shoe. I trade off on Sundays to go to church and wear a pretty dress shoes and I recently got a pair of saddles from the geriatric shoe store that are cute and comfy. For my house shoe I use my Birkenstocks. The classic style with the fluff. While he was shopping for shoes I went coat shopping. I wanted a white coat that was fashionable and functional. I found some really cute ones, but they were more fashion then functional. I finally settled on a white rain coat that will be perfect for our trip to Seattle. It's short but not too short that my purse sticks out. I think it's going to be a good additional to my wardrobe and gives me an option to my red raincoat that I got a few years back at REI. Now we're hoping we made the right decisions and all he'll have happy feet. I really hope his feet heal before our trip to AZ where we'll be doing a lot of walking as we explore Horseshoe bend and Antelope Canyon.
