Amazing experience! I'd been eyeing this designer for 2 years, and Bridal Box was the only NorCal retailer to carry it. Their communication was excellent--quick emails, helpful booking guidance, and they even requested the gown I wanted in advance. The showroom was adorable, and they let me bring my own champagne. WHY I WENT HERE: - bridal gown shopping THE LOOK (FROM THE OUTSIDE): - located on Oak St across the street from the parking garage - street parking available - when I pulled up to the address, I was confused at first because it looked like a house (which I think it is; just converted for commercial purposes) THE LOOK (FROM THE INSIDE): - when entering the building there is a reception area to check-in before you're taken to the back (1 room is bigger if you have guests accompanying you with its own podium and the other room has 2 stalls with the podium outside of that room) - because I was solo, I was brought to the smaller room, but it was still private because there wasn't another party to utilize the 2nd stall in that room CUSTOMER SERVICE: - I made my appointment online and received confirmation as well as reminder emails and texts regarding my appointment - all my communications prior to and leading up to my appointment indicated that Christine would be my stylist, but once I was there, I had Liana - the entire experience was SO MUCH FUN and enjoyable because Liana was a great hype woman! she allowed me to take champagne breaks and was just such a vibe to collaborate with - this was the first shop where I chose what I gravitated towards to try on and from there Liana's picks zoned in further on what silhouettes to grab from the racks for me to try on - although I didn't find my dress here, this is a great place to start or maybe find "the one" for you :) read more

Every employee I've interacted from dress shopping, to purchasing, to later adding sleeves, and alterations has been exceptional. They're all very pleasant to work with and helpful. Making an appointment was easy, and truly an enjoyable experience. Mary Ann had helped me, and she was very kind. She paid attention to things I didn't like, and helped guide me when I was unsure of other things. The reason I am taking 3 stars off is because of the tailoring portion of my experience. The bridal shop and the sales girl were really nice and encouraging when I went. I found a beautiful dress that exceeded my expectations. I was overjoyed when i finally found my dress. They really made the experience great and I felt like a bride. They served me champagne and gave me swag to take home. I followed up with them on the tracking of my dress and they followed up pretty quickly. Where my experience goes down hill is the tailoring portion. I will admit that it was challenging because I am 5ft and I had lost 12 lbs which is a lot for a person my size. My dress had a lot of beading and I knew the alterations were going to be expensive. The other main issue was the length of the dress. The dress had beautiful tulle at the bottom of the dress that was placed in different spots and spread out . The seamstress quoted me about 1.2K for the alterations. I was honestly shaken but went with it because of the great reviews she had gotten from other brides. I consulted family members and they said to go ahead because she came with the bridal shop so therefore she must be very experienced. I went ahead but whenever I asked her about the train and length of the dress she said there was nothing left to do that I would have to hold it in my arms or attach a string on it. For the amount of money she charged for alterations I would honestly expect for the dress to be perfect. She only hemmed the inner lining of the dress and the front everything else was left as is. I didn't want to go back because I kept getting dismissed. It seemed her skills were limited in terms of my type of dress. I Also didn't want to get charged even more money. I almost gave up but ended still taking it to another seamstress that ended up listening and problem solving instead of dismissing me. My advice is get a second opinion and shop around when it comes to your wedding dress alterations. read more

Since the wedding was canceled and the dress was unaltered, she requested a return and was willing to pay restocking fees. Their response, she had to pick up the ordered dress--no exceptions, no compassion. Even in the most tragic circumstances, they refused to make any accommodations. This was my first bridal appointment and I was so nervous and anxious. I didn't know what to expect. If I could give 0 stars; I would. I'm truly disgusted by the lack of empathy and understanding from The Bridal Box in Roseville. On Friday, Feb. 14th - Valentine's Day of this year; a bride-to-be who was just 3 months away from her wedding day, watched in horror as her 28 year old fiancée coded and passed before her very eyes. His passing was sudden, completely unexpected, and tragic. She was scheduled to pick up her wedding dress on that Sunday. Now weeks later, as she still grieves, she is forced to cancel all the plans made for their wedding. While all other vendors and businesses are supporting her and their family during this difficult time by accommodating and refunding all costs and relieving stress, the Bridal Box is doing quite the opposite. The Bridal Box shop in Roseville, has told her she must pick up her dress and that they won't refund her money (even after offering to pay the restock fee). The dress was never even altered yet to fit this bride. It still has the plastic wrap and tags on it from shipping. The wedding was not cancelled due to a change of heart or disagreement between the couple. The bride did not decide she wanted a different dress. Her fiancée died suddenly from an unknown health issue and this heartless business is not releasing her of responsibility. The Bridal Box on social media claims to be a "sweet" boutique that makes helping you find the perfect dress "not just a job, but, personal" and wants to help you "make memories of a lifetime". And yet they don't have the human decency to just refund the dress and help take a little pain away from the grief. It's evident in their responses to poor reviews that they don't care about people, they care about money and covering their reputation. I truly hope any one reading this review or considering giving business to this joke of an establishment sees the reality of a cold blooded policy's. Bridal Box - do better. read more

I had an appointment at 2pm today. Got there at 1:30 to browse before my appointment the doors were locked and no lights were on. I waited until 1:55pm still no one showed up I tried to call multiple times no answer. 2pm came around still no one showed up, no sign on the door for emergency close, no email to cancel, no call from them to cancel. I decided to wait until 2:15 just in case, called again no answer. Finally decided to leave. Will not be going back. This is terrible business. Words don't seem good enough to describe how much I love and appreciate Bridal Box; because of their excellent staff and beautiful collection, I was able to find the dress of my dreams for my October wedding. I felt like royalty; never in my life have I ever worn something so beautiful and elegant, and I'm still soaking up the compliments on how much all of our guests marveled at my dress. It was absolutely perfect, and stylistically was so me - I looked and felt so natural in this dress. I loved my appt with Liana. She was very knowledgeable and kind. I came with a family member who kind of made negative comments towards my body in the dresses and Liana was very kind to ignore and uplift me. A true girls-girl. I took off a star only because the boutique itself, while lovely. Is a bit small and so they don't carry too many sizes for dresses unfortunately. Hopefully they get a bigger place but I was unable to try on a dress I liked simply because I could not get it over my wide shoulders, and I'm pear shaped so stepping in wouldn't have worked well. She first had the girls pick out their dress first and listened to their ideas for a dress. She showed a few dresses and had the girls try them and ears their feedback. Finally, my friend found her dress! She hit it on the head. It was within budget, it fit, and she offered a discount for the new sample as well. Kim was amazing. (She probably was a bit unsure of us all at first with two brides and a third wheel, but this was by far our best experience!) Our other friend already found the one, but it was out of her budget (this dress was from a different place). Here, Kim tried to find something similar. One dress was gorgeous (but this one is her second option). Then Kim gave her another option that might work!! So she'll be in touch. Don't be fooled by the small house exterior - lots of dresses are waiting inside! The setup of the inside isn't quite as spacious or comfortable as some of the other places in Sac or Folsom, but you can tell they've tried their best in the space they have available. I went for a 3:30 appointment and called ahead to see if I could come early - Kim sounded hesitant but said I could come in at 3. We had booked the VIP fitting which I recommend only so that you have a more private area for showing your group your dresses, as the other try on area is out in the open. I'm not inclined to put on a show for strangers so I was glad I had picked the VIP area. The champagne was just in plastic cups and the rest of the experience wasn't more "VIP" than what I'd normally expect from a standard bridal appointment. As a short plus-size bride I was of course nervous about dresses and trying things on, and this was my third appointment of the day so I was feeling pretty low-ebb by the time I got here. Kim had great energy and found several dresses that fit well and looked good on me! I didn't feel uncomfortable or pressured at all. I didn't end up leaving with a dress (from any of my appointments that day) but I still found one here that I really liked and may return to depending on how some more appointments at other places go. Overall I'd recommend this shop if you don't mind a more casual experience and have a smaller party to shop with! I only worked with Kim so I can only speak to my experience with her - she was fun and uplifting, helpful and patient with me. This place is definitely worth checking out if you're looking to get off the beaten path and away from some of the bigger stores. read more
