I've purchased my daughter's shoes from here for the last 1.5 years. The variety of shoes is good but unfortunately size is hit or miss. If we don't find what we want then we order online. Returns for shoes that don't fit are very easy. I don't mind the shoe prices. Anything you can think of has increase in cost. Kid shoes are about $30-70. I started checking my email before checkout for any store coupons. It saved me $20 last week! I got two pairs of shoes and 12 pairs disney toddler socks for $80. Socks were bogo 50% off. I love the sale but why are socks $20 for 5 or 6 pairs? Regardless of brand, that is crazy! Customer service is good. Someone says hello when you come in but no one offers help or checks in while you're shopping. I'm not sure how many people are working at a time. I've noticed just two people. Incredibly dismissive and unhelpful to me and my 6 year old. No help at all in direction size or back stock. I never write these as I'm in customer service myself but I'm beyond in disbelief and it's no wonder this mall is going to shambles. I asked for help multiple times. Co workers talking to one another not even paying attention to any of the customers. I don't know how this store is still making money because no one is even in it. I brought my son to get loafers and it was empty other than us. The service was just okay, we only interacted with the sole employee at the register, guess they don't feel the need to offer any assistance other than taking payment at the register. I don't know if I'd come back here any time soon, but I needed to get him a replacement pair of shoes now, rather than wait for shipping online. Note:The manager of this store gets a 5 star review from me! Went above and beyond and extremely professional. I did call this store to try to get some information as to what happened and why I didn't get my order. I am sharing this on Yelp because I want all to know my experience. Famous Footwear online ordering is from another world. I am looking for shoes for an upcoming wedding and decided to try online ordering. The order went through and was confirmed but within a 2 hour span, the order was cancelled. What in Sam's Tarnation!!!!!!!?? I figure it must not have gone through and placed the order again; AGAIN the order was canceled. Now the total order is about $500.00 something and I am trying to figure out WHY my order is NOT going through. The explanations received via email was "sorry for the inconvenience but please contact our customer care department because we are unable to verify your billing information and your account has not been charged" which I knew was a crock of $hit! First of all why and when is billing ever a problem!?!? I haven't moved nor has any of my information changed within the last 5 years!! Well, by now I am simply irritated, very confused, frustrated, and beyond pissed! The information explained from customer care when I called was " we are protecting ourselves and protecting you" FROM WHAT!?!?!? He then says, that's all I can say. What in the f'in world?!?! I have never experienced something like this and don't want to ever again!! It's like they had my personal information and were choosing from personal information who can use their online ordering platform. My bank account was on hold for both of the attempted purchases for at least 3-4 days and finally fell off. If you never ran my card, why was my account frozen for the amount of both purchases!?!?! After talking with CC, my FF account can now be used for ordering online. WTH!?!?!?! The only reason that I'm giving this a three stars is because during Black Friday there was a pair of Crocs for sale and the original price was $29.99 the discounted price was $29.98 like do you think people are stupid? I'm a little older now (retired) and don't go thru shoes like I used to but needed a new pair of Florsheim dress shoes thought I'd give them a try. Business was void of any customers but I wasn't approached either by any aggressive salesperson either. I did like the young ladies welcoming and saying if I needed any help they'd be ready to assist. When I found the shoes, wouldn't you know it they were way high up on a shelf! Well, I needed them and the going lady came to my assistance and I was surprised after I pointed the pair out she asked me to "step back please". She took what looked to be something custom made that allowed her to reach up and pull the middle box (my box) our without any other shoes falling (including mine!) I must say though, why take the possible risk and not use a stable platform ladder. As a retired engineer that kind of option would never be allowed in the workplace just because of liability. The store was great, price was right and the service was excellent. Corporate or an area representative should be proactive and provide better tools for their employees. read more

First, I have to say that the salesman, AJ, was very attentive and helpful the whole time I was looking around. He had good advice and when he wasn't helping, he was stocking shelves. He even came over to ring me up when he saw I was waiting at the register. A+ service. This review looses a star because of the selection. I was looking for a brown pump to wear to a wedding. This time of year (November) if it's not black or a boot or sneaker, they don't have it. I did find other things I liked and got a great deal on them...just not what I was looking for. They have sales frequently but their prices are still pretty pricey. Even their clearance section is still high. I do take advantage of their BOGO 1/2 deal for my kids when they have them but I'll usually get my boots somewhere else a little less pricy. They do have a rewards points system as well. Lately I've been a bit more wowed by customer service at eateries and stores. Today I had a fantastic experience when just going in to try on a shoe that I was ordering online in a different color. Wanted to make sure it was the right size to save me some trouble.. this gentleman who turned out to be the assistant manager, Victor -- went far above and beyond for me. He offered to help me place the order in store to ensure that I did it correctly with my promos and rewards. Victor was patient thru the entire process and I had to get a couple more items to be able to use the promo code and he was so helpful but helping other customers at the same time and all with a smile on his face. I would've gave this location alone all 5 stars but I came in here awhile ago looking for some Vans and they didn't have them in the size I needed for someone. Someone new was working the cashier as I visit the store pretty decently and he got an attitude with me when I had asked him, if he knew of any other stores close by in the mall that might have had them. I knew in my mind that I didn't want to waste my time walking back and forth in the mall. After he gave me his "I don't care" attitude and his incomplete consideration, I just left. In the need for shoes, were do you go. I found this spot as my feet were hurting from shopping. My little helper came to my rescue. She said," Why don't you get a pair of new shoes?" I thought for a moment.Duh!! Why not! This is how I saw in the distant the Famous Footwear store. I walked in and there is no one there to say welcome,nor did I have any idea what they sold there. Off in the distant by the cash machine I heard the lady say," Buy one, get the other 1/2 off!". OK I am a cheap date. I started to look at were the men's shoes were. There are so many different shoes to choose from. I looked around a bit, feeling overwhelmed. What am I going to buy? I say a saleslady over there, I shouted across the store Can you help me? My little helper looked at me like I am crazy. Leigh the saleslady came to my aide. She explained the different shoes to me and measured my sore feet. To my surprise I found two that i really liked. This is for the online ordering only! I ordered 2 pair of boots and only one showed up so I called and they were lost in the mail, no big deal, not their fault, but they asked if I wanted them to send out another pair of the same boots or if I'd like a refund. I said boots of course! I needed them for a photo shoot. A week later they didn't show up and I received an email saying I was given a refund. ??? I called again and they tell me they don't send out more shoes when this happens they only give refunds but I can place an order today. Not helping! The next time I want to be treated like an incompetent person, I'll remember to go here. The register person came off as condescending and belittling. I went to pick up an online order. Didn't realize a time limit was placed to an ALREADY PAID order. She was rude and said that all places do that ( as though assuming I always buy online orders to pick up) when I told her I've only done so at 1 other store that didn't have a time limit, she called someone to agree/back up get opinion...she proceeded to tell me again and argue with me. I answered back and repeated my comment about the one other place I've done the process with. She said that next time I should order it from a store closer to me since I had trouble getting out there during the week....REALLY?! What's genius!!! duhhhhh like I purposely wanted to pick up a freakn order far away from me? If the damn store close to me hadn't closed, then why would need to go to this store to deal with her? Then she said that I should have it delivered to my place. WTH?! If I wanted to buy shoes without trying them on first I would have them delivered! When she didn't see the transaction of my online order, she told me to check my bank statement because the register didn't list as my item paid. I showed her my confirmation email . I told her I didn't buy them with my bank card but my credit card. As I attempted to log on to my credit card account(1 of possible 2), she then started to make comments..."Since you don't which card" but I'm a very condescending tone...I started to answer back in the same tone. She said I should call my credit card 3 times in a rude way. A reimbursement was suppose to be done for the cancelation of the online order. I kept telling her that it was the weekend and a reimbursement wouldn't post on the weekend but she wanted to be right, guess it pains her to be wrong with a customer. She kept saying loudly how the store closed at 6 and that she had to get home to her kids and wasn't into staying late. Subtle, huh? Towards the end when she looked even more annoyed, I indicated that if I paid and didn't see the reimbursement then would I get my money back on one of those, she said yes. Isn't that the comment she should have started with in the first place?!! Geeze Her agenda seemed to be to argue and see how many points she could score to be right. If she would have just been quiet and actually thought before speaking, then she wouldn't waste everyone's time and just get the issue resolved! Tips for her; 1. Don't argue with a customer 2. Check out the online process out, especially the part where items are not available at every store, so no, one can't always go to a store closer to them 3. Ask if that's the first time buying online yo pick up at the store 4. Ask for the confirmation email 5. If an order is canceled, tell the customer to call customer service to confirm the reimbursement 6. Get some manners read more
