Went to pick up shoes today they said they never had an order with my name come in. I showed receipt and they called the manager that worked in the morning. He also said he didn't pull my order that it never came in. They then said I had to call customer service in the morning because the only order they had for Nikes that whole day was a kids pair that wasn't even black and white. ( the color I ordered) . When I got home I checked my APP again and the order now said 'picked up' I called to ask why it now says picked up and they said it must be some strange glitch. I said well I will need you to also tell them that you never even hit the order. (I have this call also recorded) the girl was actually accommodating in that moment and said yes no problem because we definitely did not get your order in. About 20 minutes later my phone kept ringing. I answered and it was the girl from the store saying I picked up the order at 12:55 that she dug threw the trash and saw a receipt from my pick up and that suddenly her manager remembers me (or at least someone who said my first and last name and apparently shoved a phone in his face and took my order as you can see nothing adds up about this! She even said are you sure you didn't pick then up. Like what?!!! Are you seriously asking me if I forgot that I already picked them up 6 hours earlier. When I called out the fact that she said the order never came in she said well we are so busy and have so many orders when she also told me that they only had 2 pick ups ALL DAY. And only one Nike pick up. This is all so weird. I asked if they had cameras she said no. Then I said so you are saying someone randomly hacked my account and came and picked up my shoes because they happened to live local. This is the shadiest thing I have ever experienced. We will be going there tomorrow and also asking for cameras from the shopping center. How dare they lie like this! Their story is just getting worse and worse because they are lying so much. My fiancé and I visited the Famous Footwear location in Moorpark CA last night expecting a normal, pleasant shopping experience, but left feeling completely shaken. While trying on a pair of boots, I briefly sat on a ladder that had been left out on the sales floor. Within seconds, an employee named Alexis (brown Nike sweater) rushed over and, in an aggressive tone, demanded that I "get off the ladder right now." I immediately acknowledged her and began complying, but I needed a moment to put my shoe back on. Despite this, she continued repeating, in a raised and hostile voice, that I needed to get off "right now," not allowing me even a second to finish putting my shoe on. I asked why I was being spoken to that way while actively complying, but the tone never changed. At one point, she stated she was "not going to get in trouble for this." Once I stood up, she forcefully pushed the ladder toward the back of the store in a visibly frustrated manner, murmuring curse words under her breath and even running into an aisle. This entire interaction happened in front of other customers, including a family. I asked for her name and to speak with a manager, but was told no manager was present and to go to the cashier. By the time I got to the front, I was visibly shaking and trying to hold back tears because I couldn't believe how I had just been spoken to. The cashier (glasses lady) initially seemed somewhat understanding and told me I could contact the store manager (Humberto) the next day. However, when my fiancé went back in to ask for a customer service number to file a formal complaint, her demeanor completely changed. She became dismissive, said "there are two sides to the story," and refused to provide any additional help or explanation. At that point, it felt like we were being treated as if we were lying or had done something wrong. I fully understand safety concerns and would have had absolutely no issue moving if I had been approached in a calm and respectful way. A simple, "Hey, I'm sorry, we can't have customers sit on the ladder, but you're welcome to use the seating area," would have resolved this immediately. Instead, the situation was handled with hostility from the start and escalated unnecessarily, leaving me so upset that I left the store in tears. This kind of behavior is not acceptable, and no customer should be treated this way over something so minor. read more

Holiday time crunch! Was able to order slippers online for Adored Grandson and his lovely girlfriend. Order and pay online, pick up in store same day. I'd received an acknowledgement of the order, but not the come-pick-it-up email yet. Still, I was in the area, and took a chance. They had the order ready, they just hadn't sent the email yet. The assistant manager took care of me. She let me know that their was a BOGO 1/2 off on accessories. I'd picked a pair of insoles, so went looking for socks for our granddaughter. Not only did I find a multi-pack of Disney designed socks, they were on a super sale. All in all, I caught a good sale, plus I had a rewards coupon, so everything was a great deal. Would give this place a zero if I could. Tried to return a brand new pair of shoes that didn't fit. I had purchased the shoes online and was treated by the young woman behind the register as though I was trying to pull a fast one on her. The shoes had arrived with no receipt. The online return portal had no live link for returning the shoes to a retail store despite their online boast that an in person return would be free and easy. Returning by mail would be $7.95, so I drove a half hour to return the shoes in person and, hopefully, look for another pair. The clerk insisted on seeing a QR code for the return, something that wasn't made available to me through my online receipt. I showed her the receipt on my phone with the order number clearly visible, but she wouldn't budge. There was no live online link for an in person return, and she offered no help at all , just stood there examining the brand new shoes for signs of wear. After several minutes of her standing there offering no help whatsoever, I walked out, leaving the shoes on the counter and vowing never to buy anything from Famous Footwear again. They were fairly busy when I went in, and it seemed like only one woman was working - she was so patient and positive even juggling people checking out and asking about additional sizes of shoes. The gentleman in front of me had a complicated transaction and she never lost her cool and was so gracious. Horrible, rude customer service from Dan. I walked into the store today needing to exchange an online order for a different size. They didn't have the sandals in the color I wanted in my size so I chose a different color of the same sandals, at the same price and went to the front desk. No one arrived or noticed me, or acknowledged my presence for a couple of minutes then finally, Dan G. walks over, doesn't greet me or anything so I explain that I just need to exchange sizes and hand him my receipt. He looks over my receipt and asks me why it says $29 when he can see I paid $25 online. Obviously the reason is, there was an online discount applied to the order I picked up in store so that's what I explained. He then told me, it wasn't valid on different colors. I noticed the same 3 available colors online as in store and all 3 are the same price. I explained this to Dan but he just wanted to be rude and argumentative for no reason. I stood there staring blankly because I was offended by his insinuation that I was trying to pull a fast one over $4.99 what?! He scolded me, told me he would never honor my exchanges again (this being my first exchange ever) and dismisses me from the store. I've never been treated so rudely. The assistant manager Eileen helped me pick out the perfect pair of socks to go with my new Adidas. She was friendly and knowledgable and made sure I was happy with my purchase. The store was neat and clean and well lighted. I love their selection of Adidas and converse and they have the cutest co cocks. I traveled all the way to Camarillo from Simi Valley the next day on my lunch hour only to have Veronica tell me - not only did they not have any shoes on hold but she didn't even have my shoe in my size at all!!!! I had a very bad experience with FF. My little niece included a specific pair of shoes in her Santa list and after searching all over for them, I found them at a FF about an hour from my house. Weeks before Xmas I drove to the store to make sure the order was taken without any mistakes, payed for them and asked them again if they could be delivered before Xmas. They said "Oh, yes! we guarantee it". However, just days before Xmas, they simply emailed me saying they had cancelled my order because they don't have the shoes! The employee named Marc was the gentleman who ended up guiding me about. He welcomed me in once I arrived and asked if I was in need of anything. I mentioned I was looking for comfy walking shoes and he directed me to a few options and gave his personal suggestions. He reminded me of the sale that was going on and pointed me towards some other walking shoes meant for work (which I was also in need of, coincidentally). First time here. I usually wouldn't come in but I came with my friends family. I don't have this place near my house. We were looking for some dress shoes and the rest of us decided to look around while we waited for my friend to find some. We were greeted and shown what areas to look in for what we needed and what sales the store is currently having. We did walk out with two pairs of shoes. Fair priced for the type of shoes we got. Most shoes stores do have problems with people putting shoes in the wrong spot. We did comes across this and of course it can be frustrating; however, with barely anyone in the store I feel like the shoes could have been sorted out to make it easier for us to locate the right shoe and size. I decided just to browse the clearance because as I was looking around, the way the store is set up actually didn't make sense to me and it made me not want to continue to look for shoes. I kept walking back and forth trying to figure out what style I wanted and why it wasn't set up in one whole area for women, men and kids etc. I really wanted to get a few pair with the sales, but decided against it. Bought 4 packs of socks on Buy One Get One 50% off deal. 2 packs were $20 and 2 were $14. Sales associate rang up taking discount on both $14 packs. I said discount should be on one of the $20 packs and one of the $14. She said no it doesn't work that way. After discussing why that is not how it is advertised, I said fine I will just buy the two $20 packs first then I will buy the two $14 packs. She says oh that's fine you can do that. Received email from corporate explaining that is how it works. System auto discounts the cheapest ones. That is absurd and totally false advertising. So if you buy there be careful how you do it. Completely mediocre. I NEVER shop here, as they do not have a decent selection of dressy shoes, or shoes at decent, competitive prices. One entire wall is delegated entirely to sneakers and tennis shoes. There is a tiny section of 'trendy' shoes in the middle, but it mostly consists of sandals and club heels and cheap boots that are far more overpriced than they should be. For instance, VANS shoes go for $50+ here when at the store in the Oaks Mall, they sell for their actual retail price of $42.00. The only reason to shop here is for their clearance section, as sometimes there are decent brands at really good discounts. Otherwise, save your time and money and just go straight to DSW in Canoga Park or to the mall to find exactly what you need. read more
