To be honest, before they rebranded and renovated, Famous was my go to place for going out in Downtown Dearborn. After visiting a few weeks ago, I'm never going back! They made their menu smaller with less choices to choose from, increased prices, and now have super small portions!!! I had to give them back my order because it did not taste well at all. With only 2 locations in North America, both in Dearborn, Famous is not as celebrated as the fancy burger place down the street, but the burgers are better here. This is a good old fashioned tasting burger. Not a large variety of toppings but they do have a Blue Moon Burger that has blue cheese! I asked for steak sauce but they did not have it, so I think they should have it as an option. The staff is very friendly and eager to please. They actually wanted my opinions! Great people. This place has great reviews, and my kid loves it, but I'm not so sure about my desire to go back after our last visit. I'm vegetarian but frequently go to dinner with meat-lovers so I had wanted to try the falafel burger on this visit. They were out, so I ordered the veggie burger again instead. When our food arrived something was up with the veggie burger as it was falling apart and total mush when I tried to pick it up. No big deal - it takes a lot for me to alert the server about something wrong with my meal, but I asked if something was different with the usual veggie burger. Our server was brand new, which I don't hold against her, but when she came back with an answer for me she said that they are using a different brand and left it at that. She did say that all the meat is fresh though because it's halal, which is good news to fans of hamburgers who need halal or just want to be sure of fresh meat. My dining companions both liked their cheeseburgers and had no complaints. For me though, I wish a manager or cook would have followed up on what they chose to serve a customer - this place is a little pricey for burgers and waffle fries, but if they are delicious burgers with thoughtful service then I'm ok with the price. In this instance, because of the lack of attentiveness to what's being served and inquired about, it was totally not worth the check. Plenty of burger places have house made bean patties of some sort, so next time I'm more inclined to spend my money elsewhere. read more

Spectacular! They came right over and took out order. The salads looks delicious and the burgers were deliciously juice.

Everything I've tried here is delicious, but I especially recommend any of the chicken wraps. Plus, I don't know of anywhere else where a switch from fries to waffle fries, a salad or onion rings comes with no extra charge. My husband and I eat here often and are always pleased. I don't know if they have new owners or what but this place is terrible. I took my 11 yr old daughter here for her birthday dinner & had to apologize all the way home. And I'm still nauseated from the hair that was cooked in my burger & not one single apology from management. My Yelp Review I have been to this place many times and I figured this time I should do a yelp review overall I was very happy when I left everything went well.I went September 15. My waitresses name was Amanda, she wanted to make sure that our order was correct. I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Caesar salad with the ranch and the hot Sauce on the side. The chiefs accidentally made the hot Sauce with the chicken and she made them redo it. She came multiple times to check on how we're doing and refilled our water many times. The people I went with ordered an avocado chicken wrap, mini burgers and a famous hamburger. I asked them if they were going to get it the next time and they said they will.The place was very clean and the food came out clean too. Waiters were very nice and enthusiastic. I'll give a 10/10 on customer service and food. The ambience was an American gourmet restaurant with chill and lit vibes. I don't recommend if u want to go on a date. the only bad thing that I noticed was that the employees would stand in a circle next to my table and have a conversation while waiting for the food to come out. That was very distracting I kept looking while I was eating, I don't think that's something workers should do. That was the only thing that brought my 5 stars to a 4. Pros: very chill,inexpensive, go for a quick bite and go on with your day, orders come very quickly. The burgers are over cooked, greasy, and the buns are dry, the onion rings were over fried to a rock and the fries must have been pre-fried and came cold, all at a cost double compared to like fast food restaurants, the 4 of us left 1/2 our food on the plates and will not go back. I always try just a regular cheeseburger my first time somewhere. If you're a burger place and can't get a regular cheeseburger down, then you're not really a burger place. Famous Hamburger hit the spot. Burger came out at the right temperature, and you could tell all the ingredients were fresh. The most important part for me though is that I can taste the beef. I've had too many burgers with the bells and whistles and you couldn't taste the beef. I was not disappointed here as the beef was delicious. I'm here at least once a week and the whole family loves it. Southwest chicken burger is one of my favorites along with the juicy Lucy. The different variety of fries is great but I always get the waffles and they are good. They kids get nuggets and fries with a drink and animal crackers which is a great value.
