I had an amazing time celebrating my friend's Muthaf'n Buuuurday at Famous. The staff was very accommodating to things I needed to male this Hollywood event special. The food was delicious & DJ Lady D did the damn thang on the 1 & 2s. There was a mixed grown & sexy with youthful crowd. This lounge is #BarbieMonroeApproved

I recently came here on a Monday for Happy Hour and had a great time. The happy hour menu has both food and drink specials. The drinks are well priced and strong! There are only 5 food items on the happy hour menu. The only thing I had a taste for was the suya but it was a little tough and chewy. I think I'll try the wings next time. It was also karaoke night so that was entertaining to watch. I definitely will be back for Happy Hour soon.

My first Famous experience was epic. The whole place was a vibe. The drinks were hitting right. The DJ was grooving, 2 thumbs way up. However the last couple of times I went, there has been a significant decline. The chicken tenders are still on 100. But, the crowd has definitely thinned out. The grown and sexy vibe has been replaced with something that I would deem as a bit more basic, common, current at the expense of quality. It's still a chill spot if you're like me and come equipped with your own vibe and a decent social circle. It's just not as infectious and widespread as I remember my maiden voyage being. Hopefully some updates/renovations can bring the place back to its former glory.

Famous opened in Prince George's County late December. The Facebook meetup group, DMV Does, really helped give this spot promotion, patrons, and exposure. I've been several times since it opened. If I recall, Monday was kaoroke, Tuesday was old school, Wednesday was hip hop, and I believe the weekend was more r&b. In terms of expectations, It's a neighborhood spot in a strip plaza. Despite that, The lounge restaurant is super modern, spacious, and gives the famous and vip experience Vibe. So, it has Potential.... I've had the oxtails and wings and they are pretty delicious . I've also had the lemon drop and side car and they are strong! The djs are pretty good and dj many parties and events outside of famous The only issue is it takes a long time to get your food and drinks. The place could benefit from being more upscale and doing live music, and networking events. I'm not in a rush to go back. But, it's always an option if you want with no cover , free parking, and in the Upper Marlboro area.

When I think of Upper Marlboro, I don't think of a younger (20's-30's) hangout spot -- or really a turn-up spot in general. But looks like this place is finally changing that. Remember when the parking lot would only be full for the Amish Market or a random fair? Well, now it's gonna be full most days because of this new Black Woman-owned joint! I decided to go one early Friday evening and had to park near the CVS! I wanted to just grab a couple of birthday drinks but the place was absolutely packed! It looked lovely, but there were people everywhere -- the bar was full, people were standing behind it, and all the cool lounge areas were full. I had to step out, but I told myself I'd return. This happened last Thursday when I decided to meet a friend for happy hour (EVERYDAY from 4-8!!!). Thursday is a much calmer day than Friday -- in fact, the busiest days seem to be Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. So their happy hour menu is quite abundant -- having six $5 cocktails & shots each, $8 top shelf, apps starting at $5, $5 wine and more! I tried a good variety, but I think my fav is the Famous Sunrise just because of how unique it is -- it's their spin on a tequila sunrise and it's cool! I decided to get suya for food -- now, I don't know how suya is 'supposed' to taste, but I thoroughly enjoyed its flavor and texture. Well done! So the place itself is really nice. The loungy areas look comfy and are mostly self-seating unless it says Reserved. The bar is spacious enough and the QR code menu is easily accessible enough. The music was a vibe, lots of throwbacks and stuff. Only thing I will say is there were some lengthy gaps between the bartender checking on us, but I suspect they are still working out a lot of kinks and having impromptu meetings in the back and such. Otherwise, I wanna return and try more food. I hope this place does well!

Best buffet style brunch I've had. Everything on the setup was delicious! We were pleased and stuffed. Not to mention the staff was very friendly and helpful. The DJ was on point. Started the morning relaxed with some r&b and built up to throwback gogo and good line dancing to work off that delicious food.

We came here to waste an hour while my son hung with friends and had a phenomenal time! It was happy hour and the DJ had a Notorious BIG theme for the night. Hubs and I had a ball rapping/reminiscing over old-school music, talking to our table mates next to us, and eating hot wings at a discounted price. We had the buffalo and lemon pepper wings which were so hot and good, I forgot to take a pic. The environment was clean and our waitress was so sweet. She understood our time crunch and had us in and out quickly.

Visited Famous Lounge Dec 7th and sat at the bar, ordered a drink minutes later noticed a COCKROACH crawling up the wall behind the bar. I had planned on ordering food from this establishment and so glad I didn't!

The lounge is on the smaller side, which actually worked well for the event and gave it an intimate vibe. The owner was also very nice and welcoming, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. The menu is extremely limited, and you pretty much have to piece together a meal from a few items. I ordered the jollof rice and six-piece chicken wings. The wings were overpriced, overcooked, and had no flavor at all. The only options were sauces on the side (honey, ranch, or blue cheese), and when I specifically asked for honey drizzled on top with blue cheese on the side, that request wasn't followed. Even more frustrating, our server never came back to check on us or make sure everything was okay. The jollof rice was honestly the worst part. Instead of that rich, smoky flavor you'd expect, it tasted burnt with a harsh charcoal aftertaste. I've had jollof rice many times before, and this was nowhere close. I ended up sending it back. Because I was hungry, I forced myself to eat the wings, even though they were dry and lacked flavor. Overall, Myste Lounge has a nice look and potential, but the food and service really need improvement. A revamped menu and better attention to guests would make a huge difference.

Service was great considering the place is small, it's hard to miss customers. It's a small hookah lounge in downtown Laurel, so don't expect a ton of space, but it's still a nice little spot to unwind after a long day or make a chill after-dinner stop. Hookah was smooth and the atmosphere was laid back. They do sell food, but we didn't try it this time. My only downside is the drink menu, it's mostly wine and champagne but overall it's a place I could see myself frequenting.

The place reminds me of a juke joint in a rural town. Nothing bad, but all I could think of is this place could have been a second location in Sinners. Located on the side of 301 surrounded by tractor repair shops, auto repair places, and an oddly placed church. We walked in and the music was pumping and almost every table was full. No cover charge, no security screening, no ID check. The smell of fried wings, liquor, and too much perfume/cologne permeated the place. What was absent was the smell of any smoke, which is a huge plus. The place is homey and oddly cozy. The drinks seemed to be poured appropriately. The cups are plastic but the prices were low even for top-shelf cognac so it was a win. My friends had the wings and they loved them. Almost every high top and low table seemed to be enjoying the wings too. We didn't play pool but it seemed to be several pool tables that were in heavy use. The music was 90s and 2000s Hip Hop, Go-Go, and R&B. Solid play list played from a system with no DJ. A few people danced, but most folks were just talking, chilling, and vibing out. Nothing fancy or pretentious, just a cool scene. It is what it is, a juke joint/pool hall. Spartan but in a good dive bar way.

I was not a fan of the crab cake sliders, but the burger sliders hit for me. I was not a huge fan of the old fashion, but you have to note where you are. This is a good chill turn up spot. It's definitely giving cabaret venue vibes (IYKYK), so I really wasn't sure what to expect. But this whole experience was a delightfully pleasant surprise. Our server Kamaria was absolutely wonderful. She has such amazing energy and we felt so welcomed. She recommended some of her favorite items from the a la carte menu, then invited us to proceed to the buffet. We decided to get an order each of the honey butter biscuits a la carte and now I got questions. I just want to know whose grandmother they have back there in that kitchen making them biscuits like that. Because those were some of THE best damn biscuits I've ever had. Easily the best biscuits I've had in the DMV. They were huge! Fluffy and chewy with a generous glazing of that absolutely divine honey butter. If you get nothing else from here, you NEED those biscuits. The buffet didn't look like it had much going on but again, looks are deceiving in this place. There were so many delicious options to choose from. Scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, bacon (both pork and turkey), shrimp and grits, chicken alfredo, jerk chicken wings, fried chicken wings, peach cobbler, sweet potatoes and a few other things I can't remember. If you didn't find anything you liked on this buffet, you were either vegan or just not hungry forreal. Every single thing that we ate was delicious. The jerk wings were perfectly cooked and had a nice kick to em. The fried wings were fried perfectly: crispy but not too hard, and seasoned just right. The chicken alfredo was probably my favorite. I don't think this place did anything particularly innovative or special with it, it was just delicious and well made. The sweet potatoes and peach cobbler were good but both could have used just a little bit more sweetening. I absolutely loved the shrimp and grits! Those grits were thick and creamy and the shrimp and sauce had a nice Cajun flare: a little kick and a whole lot of flavor. I'm not a pork eater so I was delighted at the turkey bacon. It was the thick cut bacon too! None of them skinny, scrawny strips. Oh, and of course there were bottomless mimosas. Kamaria made sure that our glasses stayed full. This spot offers three different kinds of juice for the mimosa: orange, pineapple, and I think the last one is cranberry. We both got the pineapple and we were not disappointed. There's also a DJ at brunch. He definitely helped set a vibe but what I really appreciate it is that the music wasn't too loud so we could enjoy it but still enjoy our conversation as well. This is easily my new favorite brunch spot. Good vibes, great food, bottomless drinks, no reservations... And no driving around the block dozens of times looking for a parking space. What more could a girl ask for?
