Expectations were definitely not met. First, I don't particularly like gambling, so being in the casino itself is unappealing. I assumed this "lounge" was going to be a separate entity from the casino but that was not the case. Second, it is not decorated nicely at all. I didn't get a "loungey" feel, more so an old hotel lobby with outdated hulking furniture. There aren't many places to sit and they still managed to have blackjack tables all through the lounge thus extending the casino inside. My drink was good, though it came in a plastic cup so thumbs down on presentation. The security was nice enough, but the rest of the employees get a thumbs down. My friends and I dropped in for cocktails after a night out and the vibes were on point. The music selection was okay. It started to get jumping after a few rounds. But, the vibe was on point. I don't remember the bartenders name, but he was super respectful and attentive. We really enjoyed our time here. We walked around the casino after and took a few photos. But, we will definitely return over the weekend to get the weekend feel and really get a grasp of their patronage. All in all I'll give it a 9/10 only because we attended during the week. Over my birthday weekend, my friend and I had dinner reservations at Voltaggio Brothers Steakhouse located inside MGM so we decided to pregame at Blossom as it looked very inviting from the outside. Blossom is located right inside the casino and it's hard to miss because of its purple-ish lights and rose-y walls. The lounge offers a cozy interior with a few gaming tables, several booths, two communal tables and low seated tables with comfy couches and chairs. Since it was only around 5-6 pm on a Sunday, we were able to grab the table we wanted and our waitress (Theresa) was there shortly after. We shared Effen Delicious ($12), Foggy Bottom ($14) and Nellie Blossom ($16). All colorful and pretty drinks, mixes of vodka or whiskey with something sweet. Would get all of them again. Theresa was awesome! She was friendly and helpful, and just had a nice personality. I can see myself going back to Blossom in the near future (if/when in the area). read more

Never knew this gem existed because i try to avoid going to the mgm. I was glad i didnt pass up the opportunity on a rainy holiday weekend though! I heard some good music coming out of this lounge and decided to go check it out. I love the ambience and relation to DC cherry blossoms. The staff were nice and attentive. It was a bit crowded but we were offered a table as soon as one became available whihc was great! Their drinks were really good. I love fruity cocktails so it was just perfect for me. Cool lounge to start the night or to end the night if you don't want to go home (LOL) since everything in the DMV closes at 2am or 3am. *The best time to go is after 11pm on Saturday's or when there's a concert or comedy event. There's a DJ starting Friday and Saturday at 12am until 6am. Yes until 6am (LOL). I have spent many nights here partying and later doing the walk of shame because the sun was coming up. Hahaha! It's FREE to get in. I noticed a lot of people getting turned away by the Bouncer Or Host (whatever you call him) at "Felt Lounge" across the way OR up-charged a price from $20-35 to get in. When the atmosphere is boring and the DJ plays horrible music. A lot of people don't know about Blossom Lounge and that it's literally across the way. They end up walking away upset. Those who later find out about Blossom never end up going back to FELT Lounge just for this reason. There are Black Jack tables if you like to gamble, but the prices tend be higher than the other locations in the MGM. It can go up to $50-$75 a game given the time-frame. The later the more the cost. Booth tables and free stand alone seating is available. Pros - It's Free to get in unlike Felt Lounge - DJ from 12am-6am - Better Music than Felt Lounge - There is no dress code - 2 long tables with free seating - Booth Tables available if you have a large group. You must pay for bottle service - Ryan the Manager is nice and accommodating. - The basic Vodka/Tonic, Soda Water OR Cranberry is reasonable $12 dollars - You can buy glasses of Moet instead of the whole bottle. - Large area Cons - Overpriced for Cocktails Between $16-$17 - It's too Bright, I wish they would dim the lights a little to create a more lounge feel. - DJ only on Friday and Saturdays read more

I have been going since its first opened and I love the Nelle Cocktail. It is my go-to because of the Cherry Blossom tea in it. I will say it does get crowded between 10 pm and after. I also went for a few events and the staff were very nice. You are welcomed to sit anywhere unless it is reserved which isn't that much. The waitresses dress very nicely and very polite. The colors of the lounge are cherry blossoms hence the name, but it gives such a lux feel, even when you aren't dressed up. That's one other thing, unlike Felt the sister lounge around the corner, the dress code is very relaxed. I think this is why I pick this location over Felt. If you visit stop by and have a pricy drink. If you have the MGM app you can get a $1 drink like I do, and enjoy the sites and sounds around me. read more

They also have regular tables you can sit without a deposit. They also have bar tables as well, It would be awesome if they served food. Maybe in near the future? I stopped by a few afternoons ago after an event for wedding professionals on the hotel side of MGM with two friends. We weren't greeted upon entering so we assumed we could find our own seats. The place wasn't too busy so it wasn't hard to find a seat. Within seconds of sitting down, our server came by. She was super sweet, polite, and professional. She told us about two drink specials they had that weren't on the menu. I can't remember the names but a friend and I ended up getting the specials. My friend's had tequila and rosemary and was sweet and pink. Mine had gin and basil and wasn't too sweet. The drinks came in tall glasses 90% filled with ice. I wasn't too thrilled about how much ice they put in the glass, but since the glass was tall and filled all the way it was fine. We had a little trouble tracking down our waitress when we were ready to leave, but other than that it was a pretty pleasant visit. He threatened to kick us out because we were "dancing." So we left to avoid any issues. I asked to speak outside with him to address whatever issue he had and he raised his voice with me and became extremely aggressive. I spoke very cordial and respectful towards him but did not receive the same in return. The drinks were reasonably priced for a casino lounge. They have drinks and tables inside the lounge bar. The interaction I had with the security guard Adama was very distasteful and off putting. I will not be returning to this establishment based on that experience. Located right off of the casino floor, Blossom Cocktail lounge is a classy little lounge/club within the MGM. Though seating is limited if you don't reserve a table they do have first come, first serve seating. There was no cover upon my entry and the line for drinks was not easy to conquer, if you reserve a table ($ 300.00 was the cost to reserve on the night that I was there) they will obviously bring your drinks to your table. I have to say that DJ Casper did his thing. He played a great variety of R&B, Hip Hop and even thru in a little salsa mix at one point. I can't tell you the last time that I did the tootsie roll but it was definitely nice that he thru in a couple of "throw back" songs. On my first visit to the MGM decided to come in for a cocktails - late afternoon, not terribly busy. Took a seat at a booth had someone came over to greet us took two drink orders- 20 minutes later, only after I had to flag him back down our drinks arrived. No one ever checked back in to see if we wanted/needed another drink. Finished our drinks and no one "could" cash us out. 20 minutes later again, I finally had to get up and chase someone down. Like the other poster they comped me one drink, but that's really not the point. I'll gladly pay and buy If offered. So in nearly 45 minutes there I only had one drink. My wife and kids were at Felts when I finish playing poker. I attempted to get in but I could not because of the dress code I had tennis shoes on. So the GM put us at the sister restaurant Blossman in a reserve section. The manager Blake said section was reserved and I told him we was having a round of drinks on the manager. Well we were there about 45 minutes and ready to check out. So the manager started cleaning my table and told me the party was here. So I told him the GM of Felts sat my Fam in this section and it was rude of him to clean while I was sitting. I said do I need to see the GM he said go ahead looking me in the eye. I proceeded to tell him he need to be more tactful and professional I need 5/minutes to check out and finish. However he proceeded to clean the table my son call him a dick head I agreed. He got security and I explain at that point manager wanted to get aggressive. I ask him to calm down to keep his job he said his job was not a problem. He mention the other party was spending $2000 dollars. The point is every customer is important but who would spend $2000 in that joint. The manager was rude and unprofessional. The crowd is mainly an older (lateee 20's,30's, 40's), well-dressed crowd, looking for a good drink, and nice people to socialize with. My friends and I visited Blossom, which is SO WELL decorated, over the 4th of July weekend. I'm originally from the Maryland/DC area, so I was just looking for a nice new spot to take my out-of-town friends. Getting in was super easy; you just walk right through the doorway. They had a DJ that night and he was playing some old school hip-hop and r&b, mixed with a little new age music. Blossom has a nice chill vibe, if that's what you're looking for. Drinks were kind of pricey, more than what I'm used to paying for in Charlotte (about $12-$15 each). I went to blossom twice and the second time was last year December 31 and brought the New Years in with my husband the place was nice it was lit and pack! In the meantime when having to use the rest room I had to leave to go to bathroom and the line to get in blossom was outrageous! So surprising!!! Since when does a "cocktail lounge" stop serving cocktails from their menu before 11 pm??? We each had 2 great cocktails each (one before and one after a Cher concert). When my wife went back to order another round of their signature cocktails, she was told they could no longer make cocktails off their menu.
