I have never encountered a hairdresser with more horrible attitude than Linda. She will roll her eyes at you when you are 10 mins late for your appt even if she was late for 30-45 mins for the past 3 appointments I had with her. She will raise her voice to lash out at you for asking for just a dry towel in hand in case water gets into your ears during hair washing. She will tell you that you will get whatever hair highlights color that she can do not what you want. You will get what you get and be ready to be surprised either in a good way or bad way. No one deserves to be treated that way, especially a paid customer. read more

Searched Yelp for a last minute hair appointment before heading out of town, saw that they was open so I called and booked an appointment and was told to arrive in :15 mins. I was greeted by Susan and she immediately put me on the chair and went to work. She took about 2 hours to shampoo, hot oil treatment, blow dry and flat iron plus a trim. Susan was amazing I was falling asleep in the chair. She asked a lot of questions and explained every step of the way. I definitely recommend her and will be returning. Linda does my straight perm and cuts it twice a year. She always pays close attention to detail and does a fantastic job. Lovely woman.

I have been coming here for years for my hair cut. I have been seeing Linda even longer. I basically followed her to this salon! My favorite part of this salon is the accommodation for Hijabi's. You can get your haircut in the back room which is completely private. If you want to include wash the sinks are out in the main salon but near the back room. I often get my haircut for $35-40 without tip which includes wash,cut, and style. I haven't gone anywhere else in years and I think Linda is the best when it comes to getting a high quality haircut at a great price. I'm knocking off one star because I have had a couple of times where, despite my appointment time, I was seen late because they were busy. I've moved from Sugar Land but I always save my haircuts for when I'm in town so I can get it done at Fancy Salon! read more

I've been coming to this salon for more than a year and always had a good experience till today! I went for ONLY a trim nothing else. I asked her just to cut my hair STRAIGHT which means no layers. After she was done she started to lightly blow dry my hair which they always do to dry the hair. She was about to grab the straightener and I said no I don't want any styling. When I went to pay she was charging me extra for hairstyle which I didn't even ask for. Apparently when I said cut them "straight" she thought I ask to straighten my hair which I stopped her from doing any way. Instead of understanding the situation better she kept on arguing and charged for a haircut and hairstyle. It's not even about the money, why would I get a hairstyle when my hair wasn't even washed? Also for them it was clearly about the money and not admitting she made a mistake and why should I pay for a service I never wanted and stopped her from doing it when she was about to. She literally just dried my hair which they always do as courtesy. Needless to say I'm very disappointed at their behavior and I'm never going back again. Definitely lost a loyal customer! read more

I don't ever write reviews, but I am really upset about my cut so I feel I have to. I went in to Fancy's because of all the great reviews thinking this would be a good place. I have had my hair done by the same person for over 15 years but she just had a baby and was unavailable and I had an event and couldn't wait. I went in with my son, who also got a cut from someone else. I went in and was immediately taken in. I asked for shampoo and cut and dry. I showed Lou Ann four or five pictures of what I wanted, same cut I have had for a while now, an A line long bob. shorter in the back and significantly longer in the front. I noticed right away when she cut the front, that she didn't know what she was doing, but it was too late and she had already cut 4 inches off the front. I ended up with a badly cut blunt straight bob. The kind you give a 6 year old, yeah that one. I also know that it was poorly done, because I am unable to curl my ends downward, they automatically curl up. Thats what happens when you cut hair too bluntly. My biggest complaint is this. I have an autoimmune disease and my hair is so hard to grow out. It will take me years to grow those damn 4 to 5 inches I lost. If you do not know how to do a certain haircut, do not do it. Be honest, don't just cut hair to make money. that is not right. I am aware my haircut is not easy and not everyone can do it, but dammit be honest. Now its going to take me years to grow my hair back. I am thinking I will have to spend hundreds now on extensions because of this ugly haircut. I gave it two stars only because my son's hair was ok, cause his was not properly done either. read more

I found this gem on yelp while I was in town to have my engagement party in December 2014. My engagement started early in the morning so I requested if I would be able to come in a little earlier before they opened to have an updo done by Amy. Amy was fantastic! I showed her of a picture that I had in mind and she suggested I added a French braid on the side to have the updo look a little younger and modern. She also convinced me to have my make up done as she told me she specialized in hair and make up for brides. I was hesitant at first because I normally get my make up done at MAC, but I figured I would give her a chance since she did such a great job on my hair. Both hair and makeup turned out beautiful! I received many compliments on my hair and especially my make up at my engagement and I could not have been happier with how things turned out. Thank you so much Amy for making me look beautiful for my engagement day! Fancy Salon is extremely reasonable on price as well. Will never recommended Asian salons. I had an appointment one time for hair style for a wedding. That manager which was a owner who didn't do a good job hair style. I told her to fix them she refused to fix it then in the break room she was hiding. I waited for few minutes but she didnt came out at all and I had to pay finally and leave the salon. Decided to try this place out about a month ago after my previous hairstylist at a different salon quit and I couldn't find her new place. I first found it odd when I came in it was Saturday evening roughly 4-5pm and there was only 1 other customer inside. Idk if it was just an off Saturday but I anticipated it being busier. Anyway I got my hair cut from a nice lady(forgot her name) I told her very specifically how I liked my hair and she didn't disappoint. She worked a lot slower than what i'm accustomed to since my hair style isn't complicated at all but in the end I really appreciated the extra time as an attention to detail. A nice place to get your hair cut if you are looking for a lower budget option. I usually ask for Linda, who is incredibly popular. I find in my experience that, if I can be as specific as possible when showing her what kind of style I want, I will like the end result much better. She does tend to like using heating tools to style the hair a lot, even if it is a bit unnecessary (I have really straight hair that seems to always get round brushed although it does almost nothing for my hair). I had my hair shampooed by a very sweet girl who was very helpful. Because Linda is so popular, I would suggest making an appointment during a time where you are flexible as she often tries to fit as many appointments as possible in and sometimes, other customers can be late, which can push your appointment back. A bit of patience will pay off though, because you'll have lovely new hair! read more

The worst salon I have ever gone. The customer service is extremely poor. I went for a haircut. Without informing the lady started to blow dry. I tried to tell the lady that I don't need to blow-dry. But she didn't listen. Then they charged me for the blowdry. When I asked them about it another lady came there with the water spray and started spraying my hair without even informing me. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. My mom wanted to color her hair lighter so we went to this salon and Linda was the person who did my moms hair. My mom asked for "medium brown" hair and by the time she finished, her hair was almost black, but it was also 7pm by the time she was done so hard to tell the color exactly, so she went home anyways and thought it would look lighter the next day when she saw the color in daylight. The next day, her hair still looked black so we decided to go back to the salon and have them fix it and make it lighter. Linda is quite honestly the most disgusting and disrespectful human to ever exist. When we were talking to her respectfully and asking her to fix her hair, she starting attacking us and yelling so loud saying she did exactly what we asked, clearly not because her hair was still black and not even remotely brown. She eventually just decided to stop talking all together and just ignored us when we were just asking her to tone it lighter. I mean honestly, the salon was empty except for 1 customer so she could have easily fixed it. But instead, she starting yelling and arguing and eventually just walked away and ignored us. She has the shittiest attitude and I'm so disappointed we even gave her our business in the first place. Needless to say, beware of this salon and the disgusting owner Linda. I love Fancy Salon for hair appointments, I recommend it to everyone I know and most of my family members all go there! Linda is great with hair color and cut. Today I went in for an eyelash perm and it was the most terrible experience I've had in a salon in my whole life, I was shocked with the lack of professionalism. 1) I had mascara on when I went in and the lady who did my eyelash perm told me I would have to remove it for the procedure, she didn't have any eye make up remover or soap I could use for my eyes so I had to walk to the dollar store next-door to buy some so I could get my procedure done. first mistake right here. 2) The lady did not wear a face mask while she was doing my lashes and I could literally feel her breathing on my face the whole time she did it and poked my eyelids everytime she did something to them. 3) The application and removal of the chemicals literally BURNED my skin and made my eyes water, it hurt really bad when she removed the rolls I was just super uncomfortable all together. 4) When the procedure was about to be done the lady told me she was supposed to brush my lashes with a solution to finalize the procedure but she didn't have the said solution and told me to just "go home and wash my lashes otherwise they'll keep on curling even more" This is the first bad review I write for any place ever, it had to be done. I am sorry but I am extremely unhappy with the way it was done and with how it turned out to look like. My lashes look shorter and thinner, they look weak, like they got burned or something. Which is the OPPOSITE of what I wanted. And I get married this weekend. WHAT A DISASTER. Never coming back again. read more

I really wanted to like this salon since it was recommended by a friend whose hair always looks great, and since it has so many great reviews. I went in for a root touch up, and to have a few more highlights added and what I walked out with was a bleach blonde, chunky job. For starters, my stylist was working on several clients at once. While I sat under the dryer she cut another person's hair, and colored another client. I felt, because of this, I sat under the dryer longer than I normally do. Once I was washed and rinsed I was asked to sit in a different chair and wait again as she colored another client's hair. Once she finally returned to me she put no product in my hair and started drying my hair without having even combing it out! I told her I did not need a blow out since I was just going home, but I regret not doing so. Had I allowed her to dry my hair I would have seen the disaster that was my highlights and had her fix it then and there. While driving home I combed through my hair and clumps of bleached, melted, dead hair were dropping out. When I was finally done I had gathered a palm-sized mass of hair! I would go back back to have them fix it but I'm afraid to have her touch my hair again. I've been sitting all day with a deep conditioner in my hair. Just beware if you go in. Make sure you are specific with what you want and don't hesitate to question what they're doing. read more

I asked for a cut, 4 inches, no layers with u shape ends. The lady said you have to have layers for the U shape ends...I said fine but just very little please. Turns out she cut off 6 inches and the layers were 1.5 inches apart...not the very little I wanted. I should learn my lesson and not go to Vietnamese ladies for hair cuts...they never seem to understand what you're wantIng. so I guess it is partly my fault. He styles hair at top-notch! I have trusted him with every visit for the past 3 years! This last time I went, I actually had an idea for some highlights through an internet photo. What he did surpassed my expectations! He also listened to my hair issues and gave me the perfect cut according to my needs- kept the length, reduced the heaviness but a style I could still tie up. Linda has been doing my hair since I was 10. 8 years later I still only trust her with my hair. Her service is phenomenal. Usually I would suggest to make an appointment because if you walk in; it might take some time, but it's still worth it. The workers there are all friendly, and the prices are great (coming from someone who dyes their waist length hair a whole new color every 3 months.) With that being said, I never had to worry about my hair being messed up and she taught me so many little tricks to keep my hair healthy and always looking great!
