I've always struggled with getting my hair cut. Kat does a great job cutting my hair.

I wanted to share my experience so others can make an informed decision. I went to this salon simply wanting my existing hair color matched. During the appointment, after the foils were already applied, the stylist started asking additional questions about color choices, which made me feel confused about what was actually being done. When the color was finished, my hair turned out much darker than what I had requested. My request was not anything extreme or complicated, I only wanted to maintain the color I already had. Although I was very unhappy with the results, I still paid over $300 for the service. After leaving, I called the salon to explain my concerns. I was told I could come back for a color correction, but that I would be charged for any additional services. I did not fully understand why there would be extra charges to address a result I was unhappy with, but I returned anyway because of the way my hair looked. Unfortunately, the second visit was also uncomfortable. At first, it did not seem clear how they planned to fix the issue. When the manager became involved, she appeared visibly irritated and began scolding the stylist in front of me. Since the salon is small, the atmosphere became very awkward and unprofessional, and I felt uncomfortable the entire time. Overall, I left disappointed not only with the final result, but with the overall customer experience. I understand mistakes can happen, but professionalism, communication, and how employees are treated in front of clients matter. Based on my experience, I would not return. read more

Requested a look and provided a sample photo. (Instead attached photos show what I got) Initially Lexi did say "let's look at the highlights and if you're not happy, we can tone them down." Not once did she say that my photo was Out of reach. NevI told her I want highlights noticeable for sure. Then Lexi stated "oh absolutely you're gonna definitely see that pop ."Once shampooed, blow dried, it was immediately obvious that my hair was not going to look even slightly close to the photo. Cora and Lexi insisted that it was beautiful, stunning, perfect, etc. etc.. L'Oreal asked what's going on. I explained the look is too dark and did not look like the photo at all. Then I noticed copper mark stain on my hair, Cora said "oh that's an easy fix" and Lexi mixed some color and try to bring the copper stain on my hair down. The owner, L'Oreal also tried to tell me that the orange /copper stain was natural. The mark was not natural. There was a hiccup somewhere in the process, but Lexi did not take ownership. At the end of the day, I wanted my hair repaired. I wanted highlights something at least slightly close to the photo I showed them. The day of my appointment, was going on three hours and I was rushed to pay my invoice and close out my tab before the services were complete. I thought that was odd, I had never done this in the past. It was very unprofessional, but in good faith I paid a total of $358.24 plus a $75 tip which was 20% of the total. Once Lexi completed my hair, she was frustrated because I felt it was still too dark and stated "I don't think you know what you want." Next morning when I woke up, I knew it was still too dark and if it was going to lighten it should've already in a day or two. So I called about 10 in the morning and spoke to the receptionist. I explained my situation and she immediately accommodate me with another appointment at 3:30 with Kat since Lexi was not scheduled to be there on Wednesday. Well when I came in Kat asked what was wrong and I was very specific as to what had happened step-by-step the day before. She gave me the impression that she understood the assignment and continued her best to correct the issue. She even went as far as doing a test foil to see just how light my hair would lighten without damage. Once that was completed, L'Oreal came out and this whole session begin. L'Oreal questioned everything that her stylist was doing and asked me to move to a different station because someone else was going to take care of me. This third stylist, I believe her name was Ashley had no idea what was actually happening. Ashley was very soft spoken, professional, demonstrated empathy throughout our whole interaction. Ashley asked me to please show her the initial photo that I had presented yesterday. I showed it to her and she explained what the necessary process would be. L'Oréal once again comes out gives Ashley a liability contract for me to sign and another invoice for an additional $300+ to correct their mistake. Please keep in mind. I had already paid the day before a total of $358.24 plus a $75 tip. This included $160 for the partial highlight, Gloss $55 which I never approved. Upon my arrival, the day of my appointment Lexi briefly mentioned a gloss and asked if I had ever had that procedure done. I clearly stated no and don't need it because 90%!of the time I wear my hair curly. No more was said about the gloss until I saw $55.00 on my invoice. I also paid $100 for women's haircut and you will see my hair before and after that does not look like $100 haircut to me. I also saw another charge that was labeled Vish for $43.24. From what I have observed, they have lots of good ratings although it's those rare few that are dismissed and are unnoticed . Please take note and be aware... Every appointment should be explained in detail as to what your expectations are, and by the stall is what is possible on their part. Additional services/product charges should be mentioned and explained before the service. A stylist time is valuable and so is yours just as valuable you are paying them for their time to do the service. Don't ever let anyone rush you and especially to pay and close out your tab before the process is complete I refused to sign the liability documents or pay the additional invoice. I never asked for a refund for my initial appointment. I was just hoping that the business would have taken accountability and make it right. I decided to cut off most of my hair, and go to a short medium length. I was very happy with the outcome. Lilibeth was amazing and was very kind. She does a great job at communicating with her clients and making sure they are happy with the haircut. 10/10 recommend her. :) read more

I recently went to Tico for a balayage appointment, and it was an absolute nightmare. I can't believe the mess she made of my hair, and I feel compelled to share my experience to warn others. The color was nothing like what I had asked for at all. Not only was the color terrible, but the application was also extremely sloppy. Save yourself the distress and find a competent and professional stylist elsewhere. DISASTER! We both know the truth (: how do you know? I will add picture of my hair color thats done by your hair stylist! Why would I want correction to my hair same week when its already been damaged and bleached! We went in today to get a cut for our son. Kelsey cut most of his hair off even though we provided a picture to her as a guide. No one at the salon acknowledge the poorly executed cut. If a hairstylist cannot achieve the request the correct thing to do is defer to someone else or tell the client that the cut cannot be completed. Do not make up the cut as you go. I didn't think a simple ombre would be hard. I had made an appointment a week before with Emmanuel the first chair guy to the door to give me a ombré hair color. I was there for almost 3 hours for My hair to be wet when I left the salon and ended up get a orange, brown, and yellow rainbow. I went back the next day to see if they would give me what I wanted which was ombre. Another guy tried to fix my hair and I ended up with what I originally had which was black roots and brown tips. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and at the end I payed $275 for just my hair to be damaged and have the same thing again. I am not only surprised that this place has 4.7 start but it shouldn't even deserve that and the owner was there and didn't do a thing and I didn't even get half of my money back. read more

My sister and I needed a news salon and she decided to be the guinea pig and try this one. She got Kenny, he fixed her hair that was all uneven form a prev haircut and she loved it and recommended it to my mom and I. My mom got Dana and she loved her, she was so sweet and a great job as well. The last one to stop by was me and I got Cora and do I love Cora she fixed the butchered cut I had on my hair before and made it look nice again. This is my second time coming by and she did a new treatment which left my hair all beautiful. The girls at the front desk are also super sweet, especially Madeline. I will start off by saying my stylist was very nice, her name was Cora, but the salon does not have pricing transparency and I don't feel like you get what you pay for. This is a suburburn salon not downtown! I went in a week prior for a balayage consultation. Paid for a haircut about $90, ok pricey but not horrible. At the time of consult I was quoted $330 for a color with highlights. Well went in 1 week later and was charged $480 bc extra product was needed. No warning during the treatment, I mean I understand needing more product but $150 more?!? In addition I had already spent almost $100 the week prior. Also it took 5 hours, and the stylist seemed a little flustered by my hair. She could have said I'm not going to be able to do this or I'll need more time. I've never spent 5 hours in a hair salon and have done multiple hair services at different places including New York and Boston. Also I have never paid $500+ for my hair...ever. Needless to say they did not offer any apologies and I paid for my service and left. Will not be coming back. In the end will go back to my old stylist that takes 2 hours and charges a quarter of the price. I get home and my family can't even tell I colored my hair! read more

Dana is an amateur when it comes to extensions. She did a follow up service for me and did not remove the threaded extensions. They began to unravel just a few days later pulling my hair out. The tape in one's are poorly done and my hair looks terrible. I tried to contact the salon to discuss remedies but they refuse to call me back. Costly horrible mistake to go to these expensive amateurs. Stay far away. read more
