I discovered them through IG, as they mentioned that they had saltenas... I should have called to double check. As of today Saturday July 28th, they didn't. First of their shared parking lot sucks.. it's narrow and idk how some people got their license... VA drivers! One parked so close to my car I had to enter thru my passenger side... so avoid parking in the gravely parking lot. So the place is small, they were packed by noon. The service is ok... I got their sopa de mani...peanut soup... as I didn't wanna order anything else.. they didnt have any apps. Only soup and entrees.. Again NO saltenas!! My soup sucks... not very flavorful.. since when this soup is made with spiral noodles? If anything they are suppose to have crispy French fries as you would see in past photos. Yuck?!! One sole piece of meat. I was never checked on, as I would have mentioned that the soup was a disappointment. It lack so much. It was very milky.. and no much of anything. I had this soup at so many places, and I'm recovering from COVID. I needed something nourishing. This was awful. Save yourself a trip here, drive down the street and go to Luzmarys. You'll definitely have a better and authentic Bolivian experience, idk how this place has high ratings. read more

Delicious food! I always order the sopa de mani and it never disappoints. I think they have some of the best sopa de mani in the area because it's not stuffed with fillers like pasta or potatoes. It has a good amount of meat and crispy fries on top. Tried the fricasé paceño for the first time and it was delicious. And they do half portions of the pique which is great if you want to just try it. My favorite thing though is the sarnitas or bread they give you with every meal. I get extra of those to take home because they are so good. Also I recommend trying their housemade drinks like linaza or mochochinche. I like their linaza. Heads up that they don't do pitchers for groups. Just single cups. It's a small place so I wouldn't go with a big group unless you want to wait or call ahead. A very cute and nice little Bolivian Restaurant around the heart of Falls Church. I only had the Saltenas and their maize corn drink, which were both good! The staff were nice and the prices were decent as well. Great place! Update: I tried their trancapecho, which was very good, but it was a bit too small and pricey in my opinion, and it had no mayonnaise on it. Being from California and the fact that there's no Bolivian restaurants in California, we attempted to eat as much Bolivian food in VA as we could. Right after our hearty delicious meal at Luzmary's down the road, my wife wanted to go try the food at Fanny's. Compared to Luzmary's, the restaurant is a lot smaller with only a small handful of tables. My wife said the food here was La Paz style instead of her home-favorite Cochabamba flavors. We ordered some bread, sopa de mani and hot dogs w/ French fries. She didn't care for the peanut soup too much because there were some bones in the bottom of the soup. She preferred the peanut soup at Luzmary's. While the bread and mini hot dog kids entrée were yummy, they were nothing to write home about. Fanny's is an limited seating restaurant with a small menu. Great little Bolivian restaurant in the heart of Falls Church and a block from my Crossfit box and after 19.3 I was craving all the carbs that South American cuisine has to offer. The owner welcomed us and took great care of us. Started with Saltenas and then I had Silpancho. The Silpancho was as good as I've ever had. The rice was done well and the thick potatoes under there were just what I needed. I could have eaten six of those eggs, cooked perfectly. My Special Lady had the grilled short ribs that were cooked perfectly for her. The real treat were the papas that ended up soaking up all the glory that was the rib juice. It is a fairly small restaurant, with 4 tables to be exact, I imagine that the weekends should be chaotic waiting time, if it is full, wait time maybe for some it is worth, however, not for me , because the food is not good, it has nothing of Bolivian flavor and for a change it is expensive. Steak pieces cooked perfect with a great sauce, sausage cooked in a different sauce, hard boiled eggs, red onions, french fries, and some other stuff all layered up. My husband and I love going to Fanny's. The owner is always nice with us as well as the young waitress that always has served us. As a Paceña, I love the food they serve. It makes me feel like I'm back home. My favorite dishes are Charque, chicharron, and Pique (their bread is also really good).
