    ROACHES

ROACHES Never again, walked right out. Day time roaches means INFESTATION at night. Sucks because the food was pretty decent. Each is own but never again for me.

    Plastic silverware can't cut meat

The food is good, but only had takeout. Decided to eat at the restaurant they expect to get tipped before the service, pay when you order. Then the food came in flimsy styrofoam plates with cheap plastic silverware, supervisor was offsite no one in charge. If you decide to eat there, bring your own silverware

Ahhhh! What the hell is this???(See Picture) Also, the service is super slow and ineffective time after time. Never again.

This is the ONLY Mexican buffet that I know of...and for that reason I'll give it 5 stars. This weekday lunch buffet from 11-3pm for $10 started only a month or two ago. Even though the sign does say "Latin" the employees assure me it's really mostly Mexican cuisine. I think they did this to compete with the guys next door (Mirage). Anyway, it's not like Mexican food is all that expensive or mysterious to begin with....that you need a buffet to sample little pieces of this and that, but it's still pretty damn cool. The food was good and the place is very spacious. If you come for the buffet, just grab a plate, load up, sit down, eat up, and pay out at the end. It's just plastic forks and foam plates. The buffet had a good variety of foods (about 15 or so items) including made to order fajitas. The guy behind the buffet table was very helpful but only when I could understand him. I was so embarrassed to have to ask him to repeat himself 3 or 4 times. Guy probably thought I was deaf or something, but his accent was just too strong. In fact, I think I was the only non-Mexican or Latino there. This was definitely outside my comfort zone but I really liked the experience. I look forward to trying this place out again. Hopefully the buffet will stick around cuz.

I wasn't feeling up to the big chains and places I wanted to try seemed to close early. Luckily this place was open and I had been wanting to try it for a while. Definitely it let a hidden gem! There are some parking spots right in front, although not many. There is a decent amount of seating, but it would be tight if you had a large party. My partner did note that the bathrooms weren't that great. You immediately get served complementary chips and salsa. They were pretty basic, but not bad. We ordered the following: + Papusas (Pork and Cheese & Loroco and Cheese) - Decent, although I prefer the Loroco (an edible flower bud). + Pollo à la Primavera (chicken dish) - Yummy, especially the sauce which mixes well with their hot/spicy sauce too! I could do without the salad dressing. + Camarones con Calabeza (shrimp dish) - Same as above! Note they leave the tails on. + Natural Juices (Mango and Maranon) - So refreshing! I loved the Maranon (cashew apple) was a wonderful burst of tropical sweetness with a subtle nutty taste. I appreciate that for the pupusas they had the foresight to provide my partner and I two plates so we could sphere the papusas. The portion sizes of the entrees were great for the price. It did take a while for the staff to swing by so that we could get boxes and the check. Note that credit cards and mobile pay are accepted. I definitely wouldn't mind coming back again to try more items on their menu.

Still, we all have to eat at some point. So when dinner rolled around on these two dates, I wanted something for Bunny and I. The Pupusa Mana is a quiet place, but can become crowed with 9 tables for 4 people and one table for 2. The bar I believe holds 8 more people. If you are into karaoke, It looks like this place can accommodate you and your party or parties. Speaking in the native language is preferred, but if you don't speak a word of Spanish, someone can speak in English to you. I like the cheese pupusas and my wife likes the Queso con loroco. Loroco is also known as Fernaldia pandurata. This food is popular in El Salvador and Guatemala; as well, as other places. I have had the loroco pupusas and it is good...no, great. Yet, I don't wish to over do it on a great thing. Anyhow, I will be sure to visit this place again. I know I didn't screw up ordering the Queso con loroco in Spanish second time around. I will definitely be back.

I ordered the chicken enchiladas, a meat pie and a side of refried beans; hubby got two pupusas - bean/cheese and pork/bean. We also got refrescas, I got the melon/pina and he got tamarindo. The melon one was delish, mostly canteloupe flavor. The tamarindo was a little tart for me but still good. Important to know (and I did) but enchiladas at a Salvadoran place are not the same as Mexican or Tex-Mex enchiladas; they're what Mexican cuisines would call tostadas. Chicken, cabbage, cheese, a tomato slice, and a slice of hard boiled egg on a deep fried corn tortilla. These were delicious and the favorite part of my meal. I was worried that pickled cabbage would over power the other flavors but it didn't. They were great. The refried beans were so-so, I probably would skip them next time and the side portion is tiny. The meat pie was great though, I would get that again too. I had a bite of one of my husband's pupusas and it was good but I liked my enchiladas better. The prices here are extremely inexpensive. Our whole dinner was like $20 plus tax/tip I think. That's almost unheard of. The main issue is that they brought my food out very fast and then another 20 minutes til my husband got his. They could work a bit on timing orders a bit better. I shared, fear not, but orders should come out together. It's not a huge deal but an area for improvement.
