I really appreciated that the tables were clean, at least when i was there, and that the bathroom was clean. It's not easy to keep a bathroom as clean as this place did in this area. The way it looked and felt 4/5. The aroma of the food being cooked was amazing. The orders being picked up look great. Unfortunately I did not try a lot on their menu so I can't really comment BUT I did try their Empanadas! Let me say that their pricing feel like 2018. Three of them has me so stuffed that I slept for hours! The simplicity of this empanada made it feel great for a quick snack.Some places try to add TO much. This was close to work and I have been wanting to try this place. I had the carne asada platter. Nice portion size. Steak, plantains, rice with a nice egg on top. I substituted fries for yuca. One of my favorite peruvian chicken spots in the area. However, this spot is not the most affordable if that's what you're looking for. There seems to be a lot of take out orders usually than dine-in. I've never had issues with quality. Food is fresh and comes out piping hot even when ordering take-out. We came at an odd time. After lunch & before dinner. It's been a while since we had Peruvian chicken. We were in the area and we were hungry. Plus, I saw the word "Charcoal" and hoped this would be added along with Super Chicken in our rotation. There was no one at this location around 4pm. My worry was that the food wasn't being replaced as it was being sold and that it was sitting around. My fear came true. When we got the food, it was hot no doubt. Here are the gory deets. The chicken was good and had good flavor on the skin. But the chicken was dry. No hope. But they charcoal flavor was there. Too bad. The sides... red onion tomato salad was on point. The fried rice was kinda wet and not fluffy. The texture wasn't there. Then the mac n cheese. The macaroni was waaaaaaa over cooked and cheese sauce was thin & watery. Terrible. No fountain sodas so had to get 20 oz. bottles of Coke. Then the electricity went off for a couple minutes. Cause the fan wasn't running, the place was smokey. We had to pack up & leave. Staff was friendly. If cooked properly and fresh, this place would get at least a 4. But it wasn't, so I have to keep a "2". But actually, rounded to 2.25. Unfortunate. I'm a big fan of rotisserie chicken, so I was excited to try this spot. Can't say much about the service or ambiance since I ordered takeout. Food wise, I got the Half Chicken meal with a side of fries and salad. The chicken itself was cooked well, juicy, and plentiful. The sauces were all good, but their special sauce wasn't anything special for me. My only complaints was that the fries were soggy and the salad was warm/soggy since it was in the same container as the other food. This has become our go-to spot for Peruvian chicken and great sides. The family pack meal with a whole chicken and 3 sides feeds my husband and I for 2+ meals; we do this for takeout probably once a month and it is always a favorite. Sides portions are huge; my favorites are the coleslaw, beans, plantains & yucca. The plantains are especially well done, creamy on the inside with nice caramelization. It's always crowded here on the weekends in the evening, so eating in is a little busy and you'll find people coming in & out constantly. I rarely leave negative reviews but we experienced terrible customer service picking up an already paid order. My husband (after being ignored) gives the person behind the counter my name and was *given the order by an employee*. Another employee, Adriana, came over and then *takes* the order from my husband, and said "I'm not giving this to you" and walked away, implying he was stealing, and demanded the confirmation order (My husband was dressed in casual workout clothes, so I guess she profiled him to be a thief? ‍) Asking for confirmation is reasonable but her attitude absolutely was not. This obviously upsets my husband who asked to talk to the manager, German, who was very dismissive. Adriana continued to be rude. It would have been appreciated if German or Adriana expressed any understanding as to why the customer would be upset, but there was none. We did show them our order confirmation and received our food, but this was an awful experience. *In reply to the response from German, as I said in my post, asking for confirmation is reasonable but the attitude and the way Adriana went about it is not. We are not upset by the policy itself, but by how we were treated by you and Adriana. Your current, public tone is very different than your tone earlier where you were yelling. We do not need or expect an apology for your policy to verify the order and you've missed the point of my feedback if that was your takeaway, but it was the way my husband was treated to enforce your policy that's unacceptable. read more

Let's just dive in... Pros: - DELICIOUS FOOD - I've have the chicken, yuca, white rice, black beans, plantains, and yuquita balls. The chicken is juicy and seasoned so well, grocery stores try their best with rotisseries chicken and as good as it is, it just doesn't compare. The yuca was perfectly crisp even though they were larger. Usually I don't even order yuca, because restaurants never make them crispy enough. The black beans were super flavorful, I could eat them all day. The plantains are perfectly sweet. The show stopper is the yuquita balls, mashed yuca stuffed with cheese (maybe Oaxacan or mozzarella), then battered (I believe) and fried. Whew! Just amazing and it comes with an aioli that's not spicy but slightly sweet and it's just TOO GOOD! - They sell frozen treats as well. - There are 3 diff sauces: white, red, and green. All of them are good. I'm not sure if the red sauce is supposed to be spicy, but it's not spicy to me at all. The green sauce has an acidic base which is a good compliment to the flavorful meal especially if you get any of the fried items. Cons: - small eating area inside, but that's to be expected of a Peruvian chicken place. Get your food and go home to enjoy it so you can eat messy and be free! So thankful that Yelp introduced me to this place through an event because I'm obsessed! I decided to rope my family into this place too and they love this place too. I got the 1/2 Regular Chicken with yuca fries and pasta salad as well as the Lomo Saltado to share with three people. Everything was fantastic! The chicken was flavourful both on the outside and inside and tastes great with their sauces. They all aren't spicy in my opinion but that's because my spice tolerance is kind of high. The yuca fries were my fav, being crunchy and filling at the same time. Pasta salad was also creamy and tasty. The Lomo Saltado's sauce was delicious with the tender beef, sautéed onions and veggies, and potato underneath. Quality of the food is amazing, taste is on par, and prices are definitely reasonable for what they give you. Portions fill you up. It was only $30 for everything we got - worth it. I have been to my fair share of Peruvian chicken places in the area, but I hadn't had a chance to try some of the other special dishes like Lomo Saltado or Ceviche. I decided to try Spin Pollo for takeout recently since it's pretty close to where I live and the reviews were quite good. Tip: Order through the Spin Pollo website not through Yelp or some of the other food delivery services because there are extra charges associated with them. On pickup, the food has always been pretty hot and very delicious after the drive home. Love the sauces too, but the containers are a little small so you might want to get extra! I've tried a couple of things so far: Food: Lomo Saltado - spiced sirloin steak, tomatoes, onions, a delicious vinegar-based sauce, mixed with fries and served over rice. The steak is super tender here for Lomo Saltado and the thick-cut hot fries are so good mixed in. My only issue is if you wait a little too long, the fries get soggy after sitting in the sauce when you pick-up the food to-go. Otherwise, everything is perfect! Ceviche - Fresh mixture of seafood, fried corn, and sweet potato cooked in fresh lime with our artisan traditional recipe. My girlfriend got this because she was curious about it. Pretty fresh fish, but I didn't try too much since I am allergic to corn. Definitely a little sour, so be sure you're ready for that. Flan - Got a side of flan and it was pretty solid. A bit sweet and a good portion. Definitely want to try some of the other dishes like salchipapas and yuquita balls. They look pretty delicious! Would recommend Spin Pollo! I've recently discovered this place and it instantly has become my go-to place for Peruvian rotisserie chicken. Compared with interior that we can usually see at other Peruvian chicken restaurants in the area, it makes a nice change to see modern and darker design which gives an interesting vibe. Small dining for eat in, but comfortable. The chicken is perfectly juicy with crispy skin and all three sauces that come with chicken are far better than sauces that you can find at similar places. First time trying Spin Pollo and loved the food. Got quarter chickens and 2 sides for free in Elite Member event, order another quarter chicken and 2 sides for my partner. We both enjoyed the food and highly recommend. Each entree of quarter chicken and 2 sides are big enough for 2 meals, a good amount of food for the ~$9 price. 1. chicken - both the thigh/leg and breast quarters were very tender, juicy, and had good flavor from the spices. Compared to the chicken from El Pollo Rico (EPR) and Super Pollo (SP), the chicken here has less spices and flavoring on the spin but it didn't deter from the good flavors. The sides are where Spin Pollo really shines compared to the other 2 Peruvian Chicken places I've been to: 1. beans are soooo much better than the ones at EPR and SP, so much flavor. I really didn't like beans but after trying these, will definitely order beans as a side from Spin Pollo in the future 2. mashed potatoes and gravy -- mmm can't say if these are really healthy because they seem to have a lot of cream or butter but my god they are so delicious 3. Yuquita balls, got 2 of these for free from the restaurant. Ordered: Papa Rellena, pescado frito, yucita balls, 1/4 chicken dark meat with 2 sides (yuca frita and the creamiest pasta salad ever), and not pictured cause it was in my belly already, an Alfajores. Their lomo Saltado (skirt steak, cherry tomatoes and onions and yuca fries and white rice) is so flavorful - tender meat, mix it with white rice and veggies soaked in their special sauce. Their Peruvian style chicken comes with 2 sides and we had it with super crispy deep fried yuca fries and refreshing onion salad (picked onions and tomatoes which pairs really well with the chicken). I've never been so conflicted about a Peruvian Chicken joint until now. Typically I reach for the yucca first - check the consistency and crunch, move onto a piece of chicken breast - check for moistness and flavor, and finally dip that piece of chicken in the green and white sauces - check, got my score. For Spin Pollo though, it was a mixed bag but generally in a good way. First off, the Peruvian Chicken. As usual, I'll get my 1/2 chicken with 2 sides. The chicken breast was hot out of their rotisserie (had to wait 15 min while more chicken was being finished), which probably helped it not get overcooked and dried out. Even after a 10-15 min ride home from the take-out, it was still juicy and relatively warm/hot. While it did have flavor, it wasn't nearly as strong and full of spice, as some of the other Peruvian Chicken joints that are "super" in the area (if you know, you know). Dipping in the white and green sauces, they were pretty standard although the green was probably on the lower end of my favorite green sauces. It was just a bit too watery and lacking in a good spice/kick. The yucca unfortunately lacked the outer crunch and inner softness that I like (and that most would). Perhaps it was the take-out and the lack of airflow in the container, which made the yucca be a little soggy. However, I surmised that had I eaten it at the restaurant it would have been piping hot and a nice airy crisp on the outside. I will have to give them a pass on this, although I would highly recommend they poke some holes in the container to allow the moisture to escape and not build up inside. Finally, I must admit I've been on a Lomo Saltado (LS) binge of late. After discovering how tasty it is and suitable for my "Asian" tastes. Quick history detour - even though I'm not fully read up on this - but basically this dish came to be after some fusion of Chinese and Peruvian tastes came together and bam, the result is Lomo Saltado. So the LS here was solid, but I was a little disappointed in how "soupy" the sauce was, instead of being more thick and "saucy." It also seemed a bit lacking in the portion size compared to some of the other places I've been to in the area. Again, not a big deal as it was still generally considered by my stomach to be ample food, but just something to note. All said, I'm sure I'll hit up Spin Pollo again due to its location, and hopefully next time the yucca won't be as mushy and soggy. For LS though, I may opt to get that at a different location if that's what I'm craving. TL;DR: Generally good Peruvian Chicken, although the spices/flavor are not as strong/complex/deep as some of the other joints. Great for those who don't want all them spices, but for those (like me) who want that extra Peruvian spice, it was a little lackluster. The yucca probably is really good when fresh out of their fryer, but by the time I got the take-out home the yuccas were a bit sad. read more
