Perfect spot for the rich Chinese wives of Irvine to gather for lunch. Probably the most beautiful Chinese restaurant in America with gold decor with reasonably priced dishes like my favorite crab roe tofu.

Elegant, grand, regal and golden are words that come to mind to describe Fantacy Lobster House. The minute you walk down the red carpet and through their front entrance, you'll be treated to distinctively premium Chinese decor, private rooms, robot servers, and light shows (only at night). We were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by Rian during our visit since we knew him from Classic Chinese Restaurant. Our server, Felicia, was extremely friendly and attentive. They have an extensive and oft evolving menu that centers around their specialty - lobster. We tried a number of their dishes, most of which are featured in my photos. I highly recommend their lobster dumplings and lobster fried rice (we were told they use rice grains from overseas that produce a chewier texture). Everything else ordered was delicious with the exception of the New Orleans Style Grilled Chicken Wings which were a bit too sweet for my liking. We were also unexpectedly treated to a light show in the main dining room. If you fancy yourself a gaudy dining experience, I recommend a visit to Fantacy Lobster House in Foothill Ranch.

The food here is actually pretty good. The pak choi was well seasoned and cooked well. The black pepper lobster was also incredibly tasty. The beef dish had really good flavor and was very tender. The fried rice also had good flavor, but the texture was kind of weird? The whole experience threw me off a little bit. I walked in and was overwhelmed by all the gold. Service was friendly and efficient, but I would by lying if I said I was expecting an experience similar to other Chinese restaurants (ie Chinese servers, menus with Chinese characters,.... Chopsticks). My impression is that this is a Chinese restaurant geared towards non Chinese. They do have private rooms which is a plus! Food and service were good, the only reason I'm only giving 3 stars is I feel like the value proposition was not there. The portions were on the smaller side.

My MIL wanted to go here for her bday, and they pulled out all the stops for her. As a big party of 12, we were seated in a private room, which was nice as we had littles with us that can be contained instead of running rampant through the restaurant as they're inclined to do. There was also a large screen tv that also posed as karaoke machine (alas, Chinese music only) with a lovely huge couch for the littles to hang out on while the adults took their time with food and chatting. And the service - let me tell you, my MIL is VERY demanding of wait staff (sending dishes back if there was some stray bean sprouts in the noodles that she specifically asked to have removed - I would have just picked them out, asking for only half of her cup to be filled with ice) and our guy took every one of her demands with grace and patience. Food was delicious, had traditional Asian flavors, and there's stuff on the menu outside of the lobster for anyone that may have allergies to shellfish. For additional entertainment, they also have a light show with music in the main restaurant that's definitely a spectacle to behold, with everything in ornate golden decor and a giant golden throne in the middle for photo ops. Replete with music and animatronic flowers opening and closing in the walls!

We came to check out a new place in Foothill Ranch, where Denny's used to be. Unlike other restaurants in the area, Fantacy Lobster House is decorated in glistening gold (plated?) everywhere you turn your eyes. We were the only party when we arrived. To our surprise, several parties came in after us, filling up the place. Service was slow today as Ryan was the only server on duty and he did his very best to take care of everyone. It is currently in the soft opening period. I expect the service will get better by its grand opening in April. We ordered a lobster roll among 3 other dishes. Ryan explained to us there is only 1 roll per order, not 2 as on the menu. Lobster served are all Boston lobsters. I enjoyed what we ordered but their prices are certainly on the high end. The number of tables in the seating area is limited, but it does have 2 rooms for private parties. For anyone wants to check it out in person, my recommendation is to come for dinner as it has a laser show nightly at 6:50, 7:50, & 8:50pm.

What an unexpected surprise! This underrated spot flies under the radar. The lobster is ultra-fresh with firm, sweet meat. Hunan pork with pancakes is incredibly savory, and soup dumplings burst with juicy filling. Service is fantastic throughout the meal. Upscale decor comes with surprisingly reasonable prices. No overpricing at all, totally worth recommending.

All the food taste so fabulous, regardless of the lobster or the vegetarian dishes. What is amazing, is that most of the dishes were cooked by AI cook machines!

Decor

We went to the grand opening of the Fantasy Lobster house celebrating my friends birthday! She was amazed at the decor so took the adventure from Long Beach to a little past Irvine! Though it was in a shopping center, the restaurant was placed at the rear of the center! Beautifully decorated! Perfect for pictures/ selfies! Down side was the limited variation in the menu and the birthday girl didn't get her food for almost an hour ( and it wasn't busy) ! Disappointed but we eventually took a lot of food home! They need more workers!

Very good experience! The seafood was fresh, the lobster tasted great, and the service was friendly and fast. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. Definitely a place I would come back to and recommend to friends.

This brand new Chinese restaurant oozes elegance. It's such a gorgeous space that's perfect for banquets and parties, with private rooms and a spacious dining room that can accommodate groups. We went early on a weekday to enjoy a special lunch date. We shared: Red Curry Lobster Lobster & Pork Bao Pork Belly with Steamed Pancakes The bao are so juicy and oozing with lobster flavor. The lobster curry was so rich and flavorful, and paired nicely with udon. The pork belly had a touch of spice, and it was fun making little wraps. They have a pretty extensive menu with multiple ways of preparing lobster, but they have plenty of non-seafood options as well, so if you're planning for a group dinner you're covered. They have something for every palate here, and the service is amazing.

Loved our experience at Fantacy Lobster! The gold, sophisticated decor makes it feel extra special. Food was fresh and flavorful, and the service was top-notch. Definitely a spot to come back to.

Chess pieces on the ceiling

I was pleasantly surprised by Fantacy Lobster house. Ambiance and decor: I had seen the pics of what some (including myself) would think as gaudy over the top gold decor, but over the course of the meal, it grew on me. The chess pieces on the ceiling was unique. The AI generated video was entertaining for my kid. Service: excellent. The owners greeted us when we arrived, wearing his jogging suit . The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Food: great. I really enjoyed the food. Lobster with garlic bread. Lobster dumplings. Pork wrap. Garlic veges. Shrimp with vermicelli. The veges were a bit bland but everything else was good. I particularly enjoyed the pork wrap and lobster dumplings. Price: reasonable. Most dishes were around 20, with the exception of whole lobster and crab. I would definitely go again.

Not Las Vegas--I honestly thought I walked into the wrong place when I first stepped in. This is actually a lobster restaurant in Lake Forest, Los Angeles. The interior is surprisingly grand, with a gold-toned, luxurious vibe and ambient lighting that really sets the mood. It feels like the kind of place you'd come for a dinner gathering or a casual hangout with friends. The space is also quite open, so it doesn't feel crowded or overwhelming. We ordered a few classic dishes this time. The stir-fried pork was simple but really satisfying--tender slices of meat with well-balanced seasoning, perfect with rice and definitely a safe choice. The lobster buns were one of their highlights: soft, fluffy buns filled with fresh, flavorful lobster. There's even a bit of juiciness in every bite, which made it unexpectedly good. And then there was the whole crab--visually impressive when it arrived at the table. The portion was generous, and the crab meat was firm and full, making it a very enjoyable dish to share.

This place isn't popular enough!…read more We walked here after enjoying a fun day looking at the pet farm, winning some prizes at the fair, and built an appetite! Jack o lantern fair was just a few blocks away but we were craving seafood and we decided on Seafood 1555. Oh my gosh. We shared a steak burrito and two octopus& shrimp tacos & it was grilled to perfection. They also had 7 types of salsa as well as the fresh one they make on site. I mean I need to come back and order again because it's worth it all! Just walk behind the parking lot when you enter the church, it's behind the car repairs. And they make it looks like a farmers market with about 3-4 businesses serving food and desserts :) Service was amazing they asked if we needed any thing and we were the only customers remaining so they were patient and didn't rush us at all. Super kind cook. Pop up chairs, canopies, and beautiful dishes were served. Don't think twice. Go order some stellar seafood tacos today!!

You can feel that they care, and it makes the whole experience even better. The shrimp tacos were loaded--generous, fresh, and insanely flavorful. Every bite was satisfying, not skimpy in the slightest, and perfectly balanced. The kind of tacos you think about later and immediately want again. And don't sleep on the chips and salsa. So many places treat it as an afterthought, but here it was very, very good--fresh, flavorful, and the perfect start to the meal. Great food, generous portions, and standout service. Seafood 1555 is a must-visit and an easy recommendation. We'll absolutely be back.

Even though it was 6:15 on a Saturday night, we were able to be sat right away. As soon as we walked in, someone greeted us and showed us to our table. Our server immediately got us waters and asked if we wanted anything else to drink (wife and I both got some delicious beers that they had on tap). We had our little one in tow with us and they were so accommodating to him! As soon as we were ready, our server took our order. We got: Chowder "frots" (fries and tots mixed in with some New England clam chowder, bacon, onions, cheese, and other goodies) 10/10, would definitely order again. My wife got the lobster roll with a side of clam chowder. Loaded with lobster, but you do pay the price. Labeled as market price, this was almost $40. Delicious, but not worth it in our opinion. 6.5/10. Pan roast (house specialty which came with shredded crab, shrimp, clams, and muscles). This, topped with rice, was heavenly. Better than any pan roast I've had. Came out ripping hot as it should. My wife was envious of my dish. 10/10 From the kids menu we also ordered the chicken Alfredo. My kid loved it, but my wife and I both had a bite and wow, we would've ordered that for ourselves it was so good. 10/10. We can't wait to come back just for the food. On top of that, however, service was above and beyond. The servers and everyone in the restaurant were so accommodating to us and our child and made us feel so, so welcome. We would come back even if the food was bad, solely for the service we received. Vibes we great, decoration on the walls look like they hired an artist to paint it. They had two TV's behind the bar / prep area that was showing NBA and PGA which I'll never complain about. All around 10/10 experience.

Once we walked in, we could just find a seat and order through the QR code menu. It was convenient since we could take our time looking through the options. We ordered: 1. Roasted Duck Noodle Soup $19.99 2. House Special Fish Fillet Noodle Soup $15.99 3. Pork Knuckle Noodle Soup $16.99 Everything tasted pretty good! I ordered the signature fish fillet noodle soup, which was one of their recommended dishes. My husband thought the fish soup had the best flavor among the three dishes we tried. The portions were just right, and the prices were very reasonable. For the noodles, I would recommend choosing udon or ramen. My husband and our friend chose rice noodles, but they became too soft and broke apart easily when picking them up with chopsticks. After dinner, we stopped by Frank's bistro Chinese cuisine next door to take a look. The interior is much more upscale, and they also use a QR code menu. Most dishes are around $20 and up. We chatted with one of the staff members, who mentioned that they opened in August last year and focus on authentic Cantonese and Hunan cuisine. He was also proud to share that their dishes are freshly prepared, not the typical pre-made food you might find elsewhere. Will definitely come back to try the dishes at Shang Shui Bistro next time.
