Elegant, grand, regal and golden are words that come to mind to describe Fantacy Lobster House. The minute you walk down the red carpet and through their front entrance, you'll be treated to distinctively premium Chinese decor, private rooms, robot servers, and light shows (only at night). We were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by Rian during our visit since we knew him from Classic Chinese Restaurant. Our server, Felicia, was extremely friendly and attentive. They have an extensive and oft evolving menu that centers around their specialty - lobster. We tried a number of their dishes, most of which are featured in my photos. I highly recommend their lobster dumplings and lobster fried rice (we were told they use rice grains from overseas that produce a chewier texture). Everything else ordered was delicious with the exception of the New Orleans Style Grilled Chicken Wings which were a bit too sweet for my liking. We were also unexpectedly treated to a light show in the main dining room. If you fancy yourself a gaudy dining experience, I recommend a visit to Fantacy Lobster House in Foothill Ranch.

The food here is actually pretty good. The pak choi was well seasoned and cooked well. The black pepper lobster was also incredibly tasty. The beef dish had really good flavor and was very tender. The fried rice also had good flavor, but the texture was kind of weird? The whole experience threw me off a little bit. I walked in and was overwhelmed by all the gold. Service was friendly and efficient, but I would by lying if I said I was expecting an experience similar to other Chinese restaurants (ie Chinese servers, menus with Chinese characters,.... Chopsticks). My impression is that this is a Chinese restaurant geared towards non Chinese. They do have private rooms which is a plus! Food and service were good, the only reason I'm only giving 3 stars is I feel like the value proposition was not there. The portions were on the smaller side.

My MIL wanted to go here for her bday, and they pulled out all the stops for her. As a big party of 12, we were seated in a private room, which was nice as we had littles with us that can be contained instead of running rampant through the restaurant as they're inclined to do. There was also a large screen tv that also posed as karaoke machine (alas, Chinese music only) with a lovely huge couch for the littles to hang out on while the adults took their time with food and chatting. And the service - let me tell you, my MIL is VERY demanding of wait staff (sending dishes back if there was some stray bean sprouts in the noodles that she specifically asked to have removed - I would have just picked them out, asking for only half of her cup to be filled with ice) and our guy took every one of her demands with grace and patience. Food was delicious, had traditional Asian flavors, and there's stuff on the menu outside of the lobster for anyone that may have allergies to shellfish. For additional entertainment, they also have a light show with music in the main restaurant that's definitely a spectacle to behold, with everything in ornate golden decor and a giant golden throne in the middle for photo ops. Replete with music and animatronic flowers opening and closing in the walls!

We came to check out a new place in Foothill Ranch, where Denny's used to be. Unlike other restaurants in the area, Fantacy Lobster House is decorated in glistening gold (plated?) everywhere you turn your eyes. We were the only party when we arrived. To our surprise, several parties came in after us, filling up the place. Service was slow today as Ryan was the only server on duty and he did his very best to take care of everyone. It is currently in the soft opening period. I expect the service will get better by its grand opening in April. We ordered a lobster roll among 3 other dishes. Ryan explained to us there is only 1 roll per order, not 2 as on the menu. Lobster served are all Boston lobsters. I enjoyed what we ordered but their prices are certainly on the high end. The number of tables in the seating area is limited, but it does have 2 rooms for private parties. For anyone wants to check it out in person, my recommendation is to come for dinner as it has a laser show nightly at 6:50, 7:50, & 8:50pm.

This brand new Chinese restaurant oozes elegance. It's such a gorgeous space that's perfect for banquets and parties, with private rooms and a spacious dining room that can accommodate groups. We went early on a weekday to enjoy a special lunch date. We shared: Red Curry Lobster Lobster & Pork Bao Pork Belly with Steamed Pancakes The bao are so juicy and oozing with lobster flavor. The lobster curry was so rich and flavorful, and paired nicely with udon. The pork belly had a touch of spice, and it was fun making little wraps. They have a pretty extensive menu with multiple ways of preparing lobster, but they have plenty of non-seafood options as well, so if you're planning for a group dinner you're covered. They have something for every palate here, and the service is amazing.

I was pleasantly surprised by Fantacy Lobster house. Ambiance and decor: I had seen the pics of what some (including myself) would think as gaudy over the top gold decor, but over the course of the meal, it grew on me. The chess pieces on the ceiling was unique. The AI generated video was entertaining for my kid. Service: excellent. The owners greeted us when we arrived, wearing his jogging suit . The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Food: great. I really enjoyed the food. Lobster with garlic bread. Lobster dumplings. Pork wrap. Garlic veges. Shrimp with vermicelli. The veges were a bit bland but everything else was good. I particularly enjoyed the pork wrap and lobster dumplings. Price: reasonable. Most dishes were around 20, with the exception of whole lobster and crab. I would definitely go again.

Loved our experience at Fantacy Lobster! The gold, sophisticated decor makes it feel extra special. Food was fresh and flavorful, and the service was top-notch. Definitely a spot to come back to.

Not Las Vegas--I honestly thought I walked into the wrong place when I first stepped in. This is actually a lobster restaurant in Lake Forest, Los Angeles. The interior is surprisingly grand, with a gold-toned, luxurious vibe and ambient lighting that really sets the mood. It feels like the kind of place you'd come for a dinner gathering or a casual hangout with friends. The space is also quite open, so it doesn't feel crowded or overwhelming. We ordered a few classic dishes this time. The stir-fried pork was simple but really satisfying--tender slices of meat with well-balanced seasoning, perfect with rice and definitely a safe choice. The lobster buns were one of their highlights: soft, fluffy buns filled with fresh, flavorful lobster. There's even a bit of juiciness in every bite, which made it unexpectedly good. And then there was the whole crab--visually impressive when it arrived at the table. The portion was generous, and the crab meat was firm and full, making it a very enjoyable dish to share.

Chinese restaurant Specializes in lobsters dishes as well as crabs and other seafood. We were amazed by the interior decor the moment we walked inside. Lobby is as glamorous as a Chinese palace even with an emperors chair two VIP rooms features private karaoke systems and mahjong table. During dinner time amazing light shows are performed every hour! With Chinese folk music, Feel like we are in China We ordered Lobster dumplings were freshly made Lobster roll with fries were popular among kids Crab hot pot has tons of seafood: shrimps abalones, oysters mussels, plus mushrooms and corn Soy sauce stir-fried peas Their famous fried rice uses special rice imported directly from China which does not raise your sugar level.

Awesome new place wiith delicious Cantonese and Sichuan dishes, focusing on lobsters, but there are plenty of other interesting options too. Service is friendly and attentive. They did a light show at dinner time (around 8pm) which was quite fancy. So glad they opened in lake forest, will definitely be back.

Excellent service and no wait time the server was quick and reliable such as the cook!

Although the dishes weren't as visually appealing as the House Special Egg Foo Young, the taste was actually quite delicious. It was also pretty expensive, around $55, and the portion size was just okay. The minced pork fried rice tasted like your typical fried rice, nothing memorable. The place gets really packed during dinner time, so expect a wait and maybe come before you get super hungry. It was also kind of hard to get the servers' attention, probably because they were busy with how crowded it gets. Overall, I'd say it's mid, especially for the price.
