I purchased a dress for my daughter during the summer. We spent over $1,300 on the dress. They sent a notification to let us know something had arrived. You have to call to find out WHAT arrived. That was in Oct 3rd 2012. They informed her that her dress HAD NOT arrived only her veil. Then after waiting 2 more months my daughter calls to find out the status on her DRESS. They then told her it had been in since Oct 3rd. No one would answer exactly why their business has no back up or checking system to make sure that their brides-to-be get their letters of notice or find out why someone doesn't call after a notice goes out but lets a dress set for 2 months. They avoided telling us ANYTHING. They were only interested in selling the dress apparently. A place of selling dresses. Not a place to find a wedding dress. We were completely saddened and frustrated that they allowed a $1,300 dress to set in their storage rooms without checking on the status of the reason the bride had yet to return a notice from a letter that was "said" to have been sent stating the dress arrived when no such notification had ever been sent. Everyone refused to tell me when the dress arrived or why they were unable to tell me why they were avoiding all of our questions. Not once did the Owner come and talk with me and explain her large failure to the loss of our dress and the apparent noninterest in a full appology from the place that took the money for a dress but didn't really care what happens after the dress is paid for. With other future brides arriving to look at dresses I didn't want to ruin their wedding ideas with the horrible experience we received. Their appointment with my daughter and I to look at dresses went sadly down hill as well. Their female attendee was angry and rude during our dress shoping day. She wouldn't leave the room for my daughter to change cloths...she was afraid we would take photos of the dress. Then when we selected the dress she never informed us that we could then take photos since we now owned the dress. She flipped a red rose toward my daughter and said, "Oh ya, here this is for you!". How sad. We couldn't have been more displeased and saddened to have the one appointment that you dream about your entire life to be turned into a horrible appointment with a grumpy, mean assistant attende. We thought we could get beyond it and had someone else help us with the dress to come back and take photos we were NOT allowed to take on the first appointment. We informed them that we didn't want the same attende serving us. We let them know how badly it went. The same attende was then there to show me the dress that they neglected to inform us had indeed arrived 2 months earlier. She asked me to look at it. After I showed her a pencil mark on the lace she looked completely disinterested and zipped up the dress so I could leave. We have had several disappointing experiences at this high end bridal shop. A very displeasing and inexcusable set of poor interactions and poor abilities of their staff to be cordial, polite and kind. It breaks my heart to have had that experience. So buyer beware. read more

I feel responsible to let others know what we went through with Fantastic Finds in hopes of helping other brides be prepared for what you will experience! We were very excited to find a locally owned business to support with our huge wedding party's bridesmaids dress purchases and suit rentals (10 bridesmaids dresses and 12 suit rentals!). Unfortunately, in the end we felt that we were not given what we were promised, ended up spending much more than expected on dresses, and received multiple extremely poorly fitting suits the day before the wedding! There were extra fees for extra length, extra size (which in many cases was recommended but not necessary and required much more money to take in by alterations aside from FF...one girl was measured at a size 24 dress and had to take it in to a size 14!, shipping (even to the store which I have never heard of before!?). With the suit rentals there were so many mis-fits it was hard to believe. The groom made three special visits from Chicago to ensure they took his measurements so that there would be no problem with his suit...but it was almost a foot short in length when it arrived the day before our wedding, so my mother spent the evening hemming his pants the night before our wedding! When you receive them so close to the wedding, it is awful to have to focus your energy on fixing sizes when you should be focusing on the rehearsal dinner etc! When we contacted them to get some answers we were faced with an ongoing email debate with the owner who never gave a sincere apology for anything, but rather consistently made excuse after excuse for all of the mishaps and required photo evidence, names, email proof, etc. When we spent hours collecting this information for her she just continued to list excuses even when our time was spent making sure she had as much "evidence" as she required. I feel in the end that the owner has no desire to make the customer happy, but will do whatever it takes to get as much money out of you as possible. They do get two stars instead of one because MOST of the interactions with the employees was pleasant...except for one of the many times we came to the store for an appointment. There were 7 of us who walked in the front door and were ignored by four employees who were all standing right there. This treatment lasted for almost fifteen min. before someone greeted us. In the mean time my dad and I went upstairs to look at veils and immediately an employee followed us to tell us we weren't aloud to be there...but then proceeded to ignore us for the remaining of the 15 min. Very strange customer service all around, especially from an owner. And absolutely no desire to make the customers feel heard or important. read more

The absolute worst!! I purchased my wedding dress from fantastic finds(ff). The "sales" lady made a promise of alterations that could not be done. I.e. adding beads where they'd fallen off prior to purchase. Before I even said yes to the purchase, the sales woman brought me a congratulatory rose to seal the deal. They do NOT care about the bride discussion making process! Choosing a dress for your special day Is tough enough without the pressure. I ended up foregoing the money from the purchase at FF, as they would not refund the dress. I purchased a new dress from a different store. I completely blew my budget! And almost borrowed a dress from a family member. There are honestly better bridal stores out there! I promise. Check out a store in Fowler, MI. Pronominal customer service. The owner literally told me to go home and sleep on my decision. That's what a bride needs to hear. read more

We came into Fantastic Finds with the hopes of finding the perfect dress for my wedding. Donna was very attentive to my preferences and pulled beautiful dresses out. Ultimately, I found THE dress and would not of been able to do it without Donna's help. I recommend this store to anyone who is looking for a wedding dress! read more

I said yes to the dress today thanks to Donna!!! She looked through all the screenshots in my phone and listened to all my concerns and desires. She did a wonderful job making me feel comfortable and she knew how to read a bride. I also loved that they had such unique, designer styles. My opinion may be biased because of one particular consultant, whose name I unfortunately don't remember, but my entire experience was not pleasant. She made me feel absolutely horrid about what I, as a grad student, considered to be a perfectly reasonable budget of $1500. She was extremely condescending through the fitting, eventually leading me to the discount racks, saying something along the lines of "if you can't find something here, David's Bridal might be a better choice for someone like you". Her attitude was so offensive. She was also curiously proud of the fact that their sizing is more "high fashion", saying that although I might be a size 0 or 2 in other stores, I'd be more like a 4 or a 6 at Fantastic Finds. What on earth could be the point of her even phrasing it like that if not to be purposefully condescending? In addition to my problems with the consultant's attitude, they didn't even have any dresses that I liked. My preferred style is pretty simple, and I'm personally not fond of the ball-gown style dresses. However, every single dress seemed to have a lot of poof, sparkles, or other details. If you like that style AND have a lot of money to spend, then you would mostly likely find a dress here and be happy with it. If you prefer simplicity and don't particularly see the point in spending $2500+ for a dress that you will only wear once, then you will want to look elsewhere. read more

After a LOT of screw ups and just generally insulting behavior by the staff, my dress came in 5.5 inches too short. This place might be fine if you have a high budget and low expectations, but I wouldn't recommend it to anybody with half a brain looking to be treated with respect. Appalling, really. read more

I cannot recommend this place enough. I was kind of stressed about dress shopping because it's not really the part of wedding planning I'm most excited about and I don't have a large part of my budget allocated for it. I figured I'd have to settle for something at David's Bridal, but my mom made me an appointment at Fantastic Finds anyway. I'm so glad she did. Kim was so kind and helpful, and totally worked with my modest budget. Because of Kim's efforts, I'll have the absolute perfect dress on my wedding day and am actually really excited now about a part of the day I didn't really care about before. read more

I had a bridesmaid appointment with this salon. I called 6 months in advance to book an appointment 7 weeks before my wedding. They did not warn me when I called that none of their dresses would arrive on time if I waited that long to come in. I would have scheduled an earlier appointment if I had known their timeline! They tried to talk me into buying dresses that were the opposite color of what I requested, and my consultant was not very good at listening. She interrupted me every time I tried to tell her something. There were two stink bugs in our dressing room, and the lighting was horrible. I will not be recommending Fantastic Finds to any of my friends. read more

I had two experiences at this store. The first was an impromptu call which led my mother and I to stop in and look at some of the dresses as a walk-in appointment. It was great. We didn't spend much time in the main rooms upstairs because we were looking for an off-the-rack dress due to a short timeline. I found two on the sale racks that I liked and noted in my "file" for an appointment to come back the next weekend. By surprise one of the consultants, Sue, finished with an appointment and offered to let me try on the dresses. We were really surprised and thankful knowing that we were walk-ins and didn't expect that it would be an option. Sue was very knowledgeable about the dresses and made me feel really comfortable. We kept our appointment for the next Saturday so I could show my sister one of the dresses. We came in for the next appointment and were assigned a different consultant (which I was totally fine with) except that she ended up making me really uncomfortable and like she only cared about the money I was willing to shell out. I ended up finding a dress that was a really great fit and a favorite. I was about to buy the dress when I mentioned to my mother that I felt the price didn't exactly fit the feel of the dress. Basically it was a fairly plain dress with a fairly not-plain price tag. Our consultant, hearing me mention the price in what should have been a kind of private conversation, interrupted with a really condescending and sassy tone along the lines of, "A dress like this? Good luck finding something like it at this price elsewhere." It completely turned me off of the dress. She had already been pushy and condescending from the beginning, and was really flustered, shuffling from our first room to a new one halfway through the appointment. I left the appointment upset and discouraged - two feelings I shouldn't have had when finding a wedding dress! The kicker was after I said I would not be purchasing the dress that day, with an inquiry of possibly coming back the next week for it because I was still in the middle of searching, our consultant completely dropped us and hurried us out and just didn't treat us well. Had my experience been better, I probably would have gotten that dress. But I was so soured by the experience I decided I'd rather put my money somewhere else. The only reason I'm giving the store two stars is because of my first experience and walk-in with Sue. read more

Do not go to this shop; They are horrible at customer service and got our ENTIRE order wrong. We ordered two bridesmaid dresses from them because we thought it would be better to go in and physically see the dresses and get measured instead of buying online whereas the other bridesmaid who lives in a different state go hers online. Both bridesmaid dresses we ordered from Fantastic Finds were completed screwed up and the other bridesmaid who ordered her online was perfect! Definitely will never go here again. First, they measured me and ordered me a size 26; i usually wear a size 14... when the dress came in it was HUGE.. literally double my size and when i confronted them about it they said they took this size off my measurements and i signed off and paid so there is nothign they can do. I even went in there and cried because i was so sad about how much this dress cost and it was for my sisters wedding and they told me that since i was pregnant that i would fill more into it.. umm i dont think so!! I ended up having to take it to the tailors and spending over $150 and it still doesnt fit right and looks like a moo moo on me because it was so large to begin with. I'm going to look horrible now at my sisters wedding. Not only did my dress come in wrong and thy didnt do anything about it, but the other bridesmaid dress we ordered came in as a completely DIFFERENT DRESS than what she ordered.. and they tried to spin it like that was what we ordered.. luckily i had a picture of the bridesmaid wearing the one that she actually ordered to tell them they were wrong. All they did for us is discount her the wrong dress and said there was nothing more they could do for us.. didnt even say sorry for their mistake. I cant believe that a company runs this way; they screwed our wedding party and something that we spend over $200 on just for the dress is unacceptable for them to just tell us that a sale is a sale and theres nothing they can do. DO NOT USE THEM.. they will screw you as well. They do not know how to run their shop; Ive heard other people complain about them but did not know it was this bad. read more

For starters, this is my first engagement and after not particularly liking their website I had wanted to get an idea of the shop before I made an appointment. The male receptionist didn't even give me a chance to say that I wasn't interested in trying anything on - He proceeded to snicker, tell me that all the consultants were booked and I could look around the 2nd floor if I really wanted to. Not exactly the friendly or even civil service I was expecting. The dresses are all pretty similar, arranged in small rooms. The dressing rooms looked more private than you get at a David's which is definitely a bonus. Every consultant I ran into seemed happy. So in conclusion, I guess as long as you don't get the snooty receptionist as your consultant you'll be content. read more

I worked with Alicia for my bridesmaid dresses and am extremely disappointed in the results. After reading these posts, this isn't the first time this has happened to other gals. After deciding which dress I would like to go with for the girls, Alicia told me she would then work with the girls to determine their sizes. Being that most of them are out of state, they went to a seamstress to get measured. When my sister sent in her measurements, Alicia suggested a size 8. My sister wrote back that she normally wears between and 2 and 4 in dress size. Alicia being the "professional" she is, said to go with the 8 to ensure it was not to small in an area. Well 2 months later when the dress came in, it wont even stay up on her body. The resolution that was proposed when we went to pick them up by Fantastic Finds employees "see if you can switch with someone." Great resolution. When 3 out of 6 dresses are severely oversized, I question the so-called professional. When I called Alicia to discuss what my options, she went round in circles and said the girls must have measured themselves incorrectly. DO NOT TRUST the employees. It is now costing my girls over $100 to have their dresses altered. This has been a disaster working with Alicia and Fantastic Finds. read more

While a $25 fee is not totally ridiculous for a hold on an appointment( most other places don't require one), the receptionist or whoever answered the phone is. Finding a wedding dress is stressful, but it is a time a woman will never forget. My fiancé felt uncomfortable putting a $25 hold on her card for the appointment. How many people really don't show up for an appointment to find a dress? Anyway, she was told she had no choice in the matter and was told it doesn't matter weather you come in or not. Well, Fantastic Finds, you just lost out on a potential $1000-$1500 sale. Maybe it's time to take some tips from your competitors! read more

Fantastic Finds was my first stop in wedding dress shopping. I was excited as I had heard such great things about this place! As the star rating above says "methinks not" I had such a terrible experience and wanted to cry the entire time until I finally told my consultant I wanted to leave. I recommend if you do try Fantastic Finds, ask to have an appointment with anyone but Donna. She was so rude to me, including telling me I couldn't pull off a snug fitting dress and telling me to change the theme of my wedding. Methinks NOT. Nightmare experience. I wasted a lot of time and money here. The staff, particularly Donna, as other reviewers have mentioned, is rude and the owner is doubly unprofessional. The dress they "measured" me for is enormous and needs to be taken in a good 2 sizes per two separate seamstresses who have estimated alterations! These people pressure brides into the wrong sizes and are not up front about when dresses will actually arrive. No returns or exchanges! When I commented about my experience on their Facebook page, instead of asking how they can help/fix the problem, they published a lengthy, ridiculous rebuttal which included information about my measurements!? When I called to speak with the owner she let me know half way through the conversation that it was being recorded and that she wouldn't take down the post with my measurements until I redacted my review...wtf? All around awful. Shame on them. Learn from my experience and avoid this place. read more
